I think I bought mine from eskobar for ~$185 with expedited shipping a year or so ago. It was one of the nicest Quadruns that he ended up selling, so I still think I ended up getting a decent deal overall.

Added NES, SNES, N64, Dreamcast, and Playstation stuff to the list.
-
Added Gorf, Star Wars TAG, Star Trek SOS, and Wizard of Wor to the 2600 list.
-
Do what dcbigdog and the other H***r cart sellers do and just put "this is a reproduction cartridge" or something of the like in the listing
. I am actually watching your Planet Smashers right now, btw. I'm just curious as to whether or not your $3 shipping rate is for a boxed game or a loose game. If that's a generic rate for loose carts shipped in a bubble mailer, you might want to bump that up a little for boxed carts. I know I don't like losing money on shipping, and I'm sure that you're the same way. -

You have no chance to survive make your time.

I think the April Fool's joke should be shipping this box in a bubble mailer when the auction is over

A friend of mine was victim of a Terry Stop on the way home from MGC courtesy of Milwaukee's finest. I guess the boys in blue must think that gamers are inherently dangerous...

I've been reading Fark for a few years so I've come to the conclusion that the answer is always C.
-
Most Atari collectors started out as enthusiasts that originally set out just to get the games that they had as a kid. At some point the bug bites you and you put your blinders on to chase after a full set...
-
Yeah, I like Bumper Bash as well. I still get redass whenever I look at the Midnight Magic artwork and seeing the paddles used for flippers and knowing that I can't use paddles in the game

I've made most of my final preparations for the MGC trip. Loading the car and doing a load of laundry is all that remains. Also, I'll have to try to find Marty tomorrow night to get my badge. Something tells me that I'm not going to be able to leave the booth much on Saturday...
-
Yeah, this does sound odd. I've ordered online from Jason several times in the past few years and he's never been the type to be flaky. My guess is the same as jboypacman's; he's got to be tied up with making preparations to vend at Midwest Gaming Classic this weekend.

Considering that the value of Master Builder has fallen so dramatically in the last year, I think that $16 shipped for that just isn't worth it. I don't consider myself to be anal, but I think something that rough would drag my whole collection down. Also, it seems to me that Bumper Bash carts are usually the ones that are in poor shape as opposed to Master Builder...

I got the cart in the mail today, end label intact (whew!) and I'm pleased with it. It's not the prettiest looking Atari cart in the world, but I wouldn't kick it out of bed for eating crackers.
-
Thats cause most people keep their homebrews to play them not exploit them on ebay for profit

Shawn, that's not entirely fair. We all know that he can later make a WTB post with a bounty on said carts so that some dumbdick can replace the copies in his "collection," thereby ensuring that this little game can continue
. Also, I don't gather that any of these can be hard to find seeing as none of the auction titles contain the words ULTRA RARE... -
I wonder if the ZX81 running the iPod commercial demo will be at MGC again this year. That one always makes me chuckle

I got lucky with my Road Runner and Xenophobe. I paid $5 for my loose Road Runner at a flea market locally and I think I paid $3 for my loose Xenophobe at a Goodwill store. I've actually had 4 or 5 copies of Xenophobe to pass through my hands at this point, seeing as Atari Corp. games are common as dirt in the Cincy area on account of the concentration of Big Lots stores in the area when they liquidated the Atari inventory.

Seeing this auction kind of makes me sick...
eBay Auction -- Item Number: 180478286192
$197.50 for something that looks like it was dug out of the trash makes the baby Jesus cry.
-
I don't think any of us are willing to pay $180 for a loose Tooth Protectors, making the Bubblope a non-issue in this case
. -
I'm holding out for the Venezuelan warehouse full of Atari Corp. BMX Airmasters to be found... I paid $85 shipped for my Motorodeo/Ikari pair NIB a couple years ago and thought I made out like a bandit. It would be interesting to know how many of these are still around, especially considering that I need a replacement box for my Motorodeo at some point.

Looks like this is going to be the new flavor of the week for ebay...
-
Damn... I would've paid $26 loose for it
.

[email protected], people still fall for this?

New collectors have really got to learn to read the fine print...
