eBay Auction -- Item Number: 290416788326 Looks like this is going to be the new flavor of the week for ebay...

This one is going to hurt for a long, long time
Carey85 replied to Zwackery's topic in Auction Central
Damn... I would've paid $26 loose for it . -
Yeah, she was a little bit baffled that it went so high. She asked me why, so I told her just so that she wouldn't start buying up every Atari game she saw thinking it was worth its weight in gold, seeing as she told me that she's a widow that peddles in antiques for a living and sometimes hits the auction houses.

Getting the remaining Atari mobiles that I still need is a priority. If anyone out there has any priced reasonably, please let me know. I promised myself that I wasn't going to display them until I had them all .

FS: Music Mate cubes - 82 available! SOLD!
Carey85 replied to orrimarrko's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
I wouldn't mind having these, but the logistics of getting them here would be a nightmare. It would just be more economically feasible for me to build my own shelving . I hope these go to a good home, though. -
Yeah, I'm very pleased about it. I think this puts me at 7 carts in the R9 column now. Music Machine will probably be the last R9 that I actively pursue before hanging it up, seeing as I've still got a lot of less common stuff that I still need.

Damn, foiled again! I just got the shipping notification from the seller letting me know that I can now stop being as nervous as a dog shitting tacks. Also, I'm not taking the cart to MGC out of fear that someone might throw enough money at me to sell it .
-
I think I believe that. All's fair in love and ebay... and the auction has ended and I've paid, so it is done. What I'm most happy about is that I'm not going to see this cart on ebay again this time next week with ULTRA RARE in the listing and being sold for 3x what it's worth, that's the biggest victory to me.
-
I ended up nabbing this lot earlier tonight that happened to have a Lochjaw cart tucked away in it. I confirmed with the seller that the cartridge does have an end label after getting nauseated by the fact that I might've just bought a Lochjaw without an end label... which would've led to one hell of a case of buyer's remorse and/or a drinking binge. Despite being sort of hidden and not being spoiled by anyone that came across it, isn't this pretty cheap for a Lochjaw cart? I've seen some that looked like they'd been digested by the Sarlacc sell for more in recent memory. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 270548243925

There's quite a few people around here worried about you on account of your absence. Hopefully everything is working out right now.
-
Just giving this a bump in the event that nagn2 ever makes another appearance around here.... My offer still stands.
-
People who put ULTRA RARE, LQQK, or [email protected]@K in their auction title make the baby Jesus cry.

Tempest, I have a Rat Shack coax A/B switch with remote, one of the fancy electronical ones. I'll bring it to MGC if you want, I'm sure we can work out a deal on it.

Atari 2600 stuff including Harmony Cart
Carey85 replied to yuppicide's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
That's a good deal on the external HDD. I just bought a 320GB external the other night, otherwise I'd be all over it. -
INTEREST CHECK: FOR SALE CUTTLE CART 2
Carey85 replied to lucifershalo's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Chad is cheating himself out of a lot of money by not doing another run of CC2s. Personally, I think he hasn't done it on account of redass over not selling all of his Intellivision Cuttle Carts as of yet. Selling an Intellivision multicart is like trying to sell someone a turd sandwich, though. I don't own a CC2 and I think it's kind of silly to pay the value of a loose 7800 set for one. That being said, I still hope you get a good price for yours, lucifershalo. Just trying to vent a little bit, not crap on your thread . -
Win a Trip to the Classic Gaming Expo!
Carey85 replied to Albert's topic in Classic Gaming Expo 2012
Perkar ended up winning the DP contest yesterday. He's good people and I was glad to see him win. Best of luck to everyone. -
This guy would've made one hell of a car salesman...

I'll take another badge for this year. I think I still have last year's, but I'm not certain. Thanks in advance.

I finished pricing all of my MGC wares tonight. Sadly, I don't have 1/4th the stuff to sell this year as I did last year, at least it doesn't feel like it. I'm going to have a dump bin of 2600/7800 dupes with some uncommon stuff thrown in, all priced to sell. There's also a lot of donor cart material in there and is priced as such. Probably going to have 40-ish PS1 games to sell, most of which are common and priced at $2-$3. Got a stack of mostly decent N64 games to get rid of as well. Also going to be selling some quality NES, SNES, and Saturn stuff though I don't have much in the way of quantity of it. All in all it is probably only enough gear to fill half of a table, but the thrifts haven't been as good to me as I'd have liked in the past year, so that's what I've got. I'll be happy if this stuff finances my beer money and bar food over the weekend .

Most Expensive Sticker, in the World, Award.
Carey85 replied to hhwolfman's topic in Auction Central
Someone needs to buy that sticker and make McGamestop a 10 cent millionaire just like the idiot that paid a grand for the River Patrol that Phantom sold recently. Atari collectors are stupid enough to fall for this while criticizing Nintendo collectors for paying a year's salary for a label variant (Stadium Events.) -
Atari Video Game Load - 25k pieces - Brand New
Carey85 replied to Dovaleh's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Funny that you mention Big Lots. Finding red label 2600 games and common 7800 games around here is a breeze as a result of the large number of Big Lots stores in this area circa 1992. I was 7 at the time and was given a $5 weekly allowance, of which all of it went towards $1 Atari games at Big Lots. I'd have to check couch cushions or vents for the change necessary for the sales tax... Ah, the good old days . -
FS: Atari 2600 Video Reflex / Video Jogger blowout
Carey85 replied to riffraff's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
I received my carts in the mail today and aside from the actiplaque on the labels, the carts look to be unused. I don't see any wear to the cartridges or to the contacts. One interesting thing that I noticed was that both cartridges have the same manufacturing defect on the backside of the cart near the cartridge port, which looks like there was a couple of small gouges or impressions in the molds that transferred over to the cartridges. -
What's the story on that Mountain King cart? Has a foil label like that of a Sunrise or Telegames cart. Can't say that I've ever seen one like that before.

FS: C64 DTV 30-in-1 Games by Mammoth Toys
Carey85 replied to jaybird3rd's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Yeah, I sold one at MGC last year for $20 literally within minutes of the show opening up to the public. -
$30 would be top dollar for one with a nice label, IMO. Almost all of the Joyboards I've ever come across have had lousy labels that were peeling at the corners. I actually need a replacement decal for the Joyboard that I currently own, but I don't know of anyone that would willingly make one right off hand.
