    The steam Grandia II is really good. It offers 4:3 letterbox option, allows disabling of the stupid lighting effects, 360 pad support is flawless. I've only had one crash, and noticed a couple minor graphical issues--still way better than others popping up these days.

      i liked grandia 2 when i played it on the dc, not sure i'd put up $20 to buy it again but i'm glad to know it exists

    Tomorrow night I'm going to watch either The Dark Crystal (1982) or Labyrinth (1986) and can't quite decide which. I remember liking them both as a little kid but don't remember anything else about them. Any suggestions as to which one to watch?

    My GameCube is being a big friggin' jerk. You guys got any suggestions on how to make this thing cooperate? I've got a Game Boy Player in the mail but no start-up disc. I thought I could get around it with the Game Boy Interface, but my Cube disagrees. http://kiblitzing.blogspot.com/2017/08/boxed-and-cubed-in.html

      ive modded 3 cubes with xenos but its been many years :< it's possible i've gone as low as 125. the ones i used had some status led on it also that went solid green or yellow to indicate success. in case it is just the discs use a regular dvd, i had a bunch of minis that were supposed to be a good brand but after the first few i couldn't get a good burn out of them

      it's probably bad discs or the pot. i know you said you adjusted it, but i've had to get it really low on some cubes. one i'm using now is at like 145ohm. try using a fullsize dvd with the cover off for testing purposes.

    What MAME cabinets are you all using? I've looked at the X-Arcade, but I'd like to know what other options I have. Also, have MAME cabinets stopped shipping with CRT monitors? X-Arcade seems to have switched to using LED displays.

      i got the cabinet part from northcoast custom arcades, the monitor and guts i cobbled together separately
