Have floppies, will image (if I can find the tools)
AMenard replied to x=usr(1536)'s topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
ST reads PC formated disk, so if your PC floppy drives can format 720k floppies that'll be fine. I personnaly don't know of a pc based st disk manager, but if you can find one you should be able to copy from adisk image to the pc floppy. -
Hi, I'm presently trying to setup my dev environment on my PC and I have a few questions: Which emulator are you using for testing and debugging? Is there an Atari equivalent to Dirmaster on windows to create/manage .atr files? Beside CC65 is there another cross compiler/assembler available. Not that I don't like it, just that I want to know if there are new alternative.

What's the latest Atari related thing(s) you've bought on ebay?
AMenard replied to Ross PK's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
One Atari 65XE. I then went to Lotharek and ordered a "Biggus Dickus" SIO2SD -
Found a tested/working 65XE on eBay for $99.00 Hi, I'm trying my luck again. I'm looking for one of the following: Atari 800XL Atari 1200XL Atari 65XE Atari 130XE Must be in good working order, but I'm not to picky about the look. It can be yellowed or scratched as long as it's in good working condition (including keyboard) with no broken parts/keys. I don't own a museum, I want to develop software for it. I don't need the PSU as I can make my own.

His project is interesting, but at the end of the day if I want to code retro, I'll do it on a retro computer. I have a nice C128 setup with a U2+ that add 2mb as an REU that I use to code in 65xx Assembler for old time sake. I also use CBMStudio on my PC for ease of use. I'll probably get an Ultimate 64 to futureproof a breadbin before I buy a totally new platform. I also code on PC with Allegro 5 in C/C++ which is pretty old school in its graphics and sound management. I love the 8bit guy YT channel and I've watched all of his videos. Like him I intend to write a multi-plateform game (C64/128, PC, Atari 8bit). But I'd go with an Ultimate 64 upgrade before buying into a totally new platform.

AMenard replied to slinkeey's topic in TI-99/4A Computers
Since my Peb is all scratched up and the top cover broken, i'm tempted of making myself a beige "version"... -

AMenard replied to slinkeey's topic in TI-99/4A Computers
Silly question... was there a beige peb or was it always the original silver available? -
I'm presently looking for a nice condition, and reasonnably priced, Atari 130XE and either one or two 1050 FDD with PSUs and composite video cable. Must be willing to ship to Canada.

My unicorn: An Amiga 4000T at a price I can afford :-) -
I have a burned out 520STFm that I use as a part donor system. I could send you those keys if you pay for the shipping.

AMenard replied to ParanoidLittleMan's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
Dear Santa, I've been a very good boy this year. Please add me to the list for one of those when they're ready. I have a stack of pata IDE drives in the closet that could be used. -

As long as I get a shipping confirmation and a tracking number I don't care how long it takes to get to me. All I want is a confirmation that the package is on it's way and that I wasn't taken advantage off (not saying that lotharek ever did that, quite the contrary).

What Process Do You Use To "Make An Offer"?
AMenard replied to blainelocklair's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I offer what I'm ready to pay for it. It that isn't enough then I pass. I never try to take advantage of someone so if you think I'm lowballing you I apologize but I did offer what it's worth to me. -
That sounded more kinky than it should...

Is your drive belt driven? If it is it may just need a new belt. Used or slipping belts impact the speed and may give read/write error.

What retro computer pleasantly surprised you?
AMenard replied to rpiguy9907's topic in Classic Computing Discussion
The TI99... It's so strange as an architecture compared to its contemporary that it's like discovering computers all over again. And it has one of the nicest community of user around :-) Also the Peb is so badass looking! The Apple IIe... Open architecture with expansion slots and really straight forward to code on. I could never afford them when I was young, but I've got them now. -
I'm waiting for a confirmation of oreder for my VidHD graphic card for my Apple IIe Platinum.
