  1. But not the other way around.
  2. I just got a TI PEB, nicelly loaded. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Texas-Instruments-TI-99-4-Original-Peripheral-Expansion-System-PHP1200-W-4-C/223180126440?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 Now i'll work on getting a edasm cart and disk. Think there are some new one pack on ebay.
  3. probably not but it would eliminate any problem due to error in the partition table and security since those command will totally wipe those.
  4. Open disk manager and check the drive number assigned to the stick open cmd start diskpart type select disk # where # is the number of the drive you got in the first step type clean open disk manager again and partition stick and format it Beware you'll lose what is on it.
  5. The coco has a funny way of generating colors. Sometime you have to do multiple reset to get the right ones. This happens quite frequently with the reds and the blues. By that I mean what's supposed to be blue is instead red.
  6. I would be satisfied with 32k, and an SD disk emulator. I'm not trying to use the TI-99 as a modern computer, I just want to learn how to code for it, save my file, take the card out & move to my PC to distribute or archive. Nothing fancy.
  7. There's also Commodore4ever but he sell mostly through ebay, but his PSU are quite good and well made.
  8. Bought a TRS-80 Color Computer 2 64k. Will get a cocovga and a cocosdc by the end of the month.
  9. I even printed some by printing odd pages first and then carefully, running the stack upside down to print the even pages. The noisiest printer I owned was the Atari 1027, but I had a crush on my Commodore 802 before getting my RX-80 back in the day. I was lucky in finding that ActionPrinter that is compatible right down to the RX and LX epson via dip switch for a big $40 shipped. The box of paper cost more than the printer...
  10. Did a bit of shopping... Bought a couple of blank PCB for the Apple II/+/e. Expect an A2e controlled auduino synth board in the future! I then bought a few other thing on Apple2Online store: * two clean and working unidisk floppy drives * new unidisk floppy controller * Epson APL printer interface with cable And on ebay: * A book on interfacing with the Apple II/+/e * two boxes of 10 DSDD 5.25" floppies. Coupled with my ReactiveMicro drive/turbo and my CF card which include Merlin-8 and I'm ready to start coding as soon as the stuff gets here.
  11. Jin, your new avatar looks like he's getting a prostate exam...
  12. Traded some game consoles and games for an Apple IIe Platinum with two unidisk drives. Now I'll have two development machine at my disposition.
  13. Game building utility set including a code editor, a sprite editor, a sound editor and a screen editor. Could support the different languages, assembler and compilers popular for the homebrew scene.
  14. Well, I received a composite video cable today and tried both TI-99/4a on my 1702 and both work! So now I need a few other thing: A PEB (will know tomorrow if I got one) A FinalGROM (next month) A couple of good book on programming the TI (Asm and XB). I know there are some online, i may print them at work. I know it's a bit silly if I get the finalgrom, but I want actual carts of the programming languages (XB, A/E etc) with docs if available.
  15. A brand new copy of: Assembly Lines: The Complete Book to go with my Apple IIe
  16. I have an Apple A2M2010 green flip screen monochrome monitor on top of my Apple IIe and a 1702, both connected via a spliter. Beside it is my Epson ActionPrinter RX-80 compatible printer which contribute for that old time programming vibe when I print an assembler listing at 2 AM in my basement office/lab.
  17. The missing UP arrow for my 1983 Apple IIe light brown keyboard :-) Just waiting on the seller for a shipping quote to Canada.
  18. My vote goes to the Apple DuoDisk for its form factor. A perfect match to the A2 line up to the GS. My second choice would be the Indus GT for its speed, versatility and of course that rad look.
  19. You can't leave a negative feedback if you use ebay resolution center to file a complaint and the guy refund you. I had to deal with really dishonest sellers this year and I wasn't able to leave any feedback even thogh I won all of my cases.
  20. *** traded on Facebook for a complete Apple IIe Platinum setup **** have four game consoles, listed above, that I want to trade as a lot for one of the following: * TI-99/4a PEB with 32k, Cable, RS232 (optional), FDC, Floppy drive. A disk manager cart would be a bonus for me to test the drive. Must be in good working condition and not too beaten up. Normal use scratches and wear is acceptable. This is my prefered trade and I'll pay shipping both way. * Atari 800XL or 130XE + 1050 (x2) + DOS 2.5 + composite or luma/chroma cable and SIO cable and PSUs. * Apple IIe (128k) or Platinum + duodisk or unidisk(x2) (no disk II drive please, I have a ton of those). This is my second prefered trade. I'll cover half of the shipping cost to me for it. In all case I'll cover shipping to you. All systems must be in good working order. Normal wear is acceptable but no cracked or broken case. Yellowed is ok. The PS4 is new, I bought it about 2 months ago and I haven't played a single game on it. The other systems comes with a few games for each.
  21. Well I'm officially back in the TI99 world. I've got a third TI-99/4a in trade today for a 1541-II I had gathering dust. Beside some minor scratches (the alu TI99 scratches just by looking at it funny) it's in very good condition. I pm'd FarmerPotato for my missing key on my other TI and if he's got one then I'll have two working TI99 and spare chips from the "modified" one. Now, I still have to source a PEB with 32k, rs232, FC and a second working floppy for it and software for it of course.
