  1. Is Tapper for the VCS worth picking up?

Excellent port. I have more fun playing it than I do the version on the PS3. Little bit of lag. Much too much too much. ;-)

  2. Apparently you can preorder Splatoon 2 for the Switch right now, but I think I'm going to hold out for the Ataribox port.

It's one of those games I have Now, but I haven't actually gotten around to trying it out. I've kind of got a lot of stuff like that haha...

  5. Picked up Reactor for 2600 and its pretty addicting. Also picked up Coconuts, not as much.

      iesposta

And "Reactor TB" with true Trak-Ball control is even greater IMHO.

(Late reply :) I like Reactor (Had it BITD, traded it, got it again)...Got Coconuts at the Pawn Shop a while back, but haven't cleaned it or tried it yet...

I dunno, Coconuts isn't a bad game, just a bit slow.

  6. It would be cool if it was a hybrid of a PlayStation TV and a Streaming stick. Allows remote play of consoles, while providing its own service, and it has streaming services. So, you can play modern games, retro games, movies and tv, and its Atari branded. Oh well, one can hope.

  8. I went to Hershey Park with my girlfriend today and after we did the normal theme park basics, I.e. rides, water park, over priced lunch, etc. We stopped into the arcade there. They had a bunch of old classics there. I got to play dragon's lair for the first time, and my girlfriend got to play Galaga which is her favorite game. Just thought I'd throw it out there if anyone is planning on visiting the park anytime soon. Also, there is this new space invaders game that is more like space invaders meets missile command, it was a lot of fun as well. Just FYI
  9. At the above time and location...

  10. I'm gonna let y'all finish, but Ataribox is much better. Having said that, do you guys think this will be as sought after? I mean given the ire that Nintendo created with NES mini, I feel people are going to not seek this out as much. Also is the SNES as iconic as the NES? It has a lot of fun games I loved the Donkey Kong series, but I feel like he hype won't be there. Thought? Opinions? Outlandish statements?
  11. I have an ABC version of that selector. I think it works great. I get some RF interference on my VCS but I'm swimming in RF signals, so I expected as much. Everything else works fine on it I.e. My Vic 20 and TS 1000
  12. Tried Spitfire Attack and Hunchy II on Stella tonight Both are pretty fun.

I like "Hunchy II". We played it in the 2600 HSC this year.

Hunchy II is spectacular and surprisingly challenging.

Somehow I'm reminded of a friend BITD playing Demon Attack while listening to Dr. Demento and saying the demon birds were now singing "Bra Size 45".

  14. There is just something graphically appealing about Moon Patrol on the 2600

  16. Knowing that there was an Army of Darkness homebrew that I missed out on makes me sad. No boom stick for me.
  17. This just conjures up images of people holding that day's Newspaper. Put a little ransom in your auction.
  18. I hope the best to those connected to this project. Look forward to seeing your product in action.
  19. Got my copy of Alien Downpour for my Apple II today. What an amazing game!

  20. Been singing "Live and let Die" after hearing about the passing of Roger Moore. Seems like a terrible song to sing at the moment, but was one of my favorite Bond movies.

    1. BassGuitari

      BassGuitari

He was a great Bond but was stuck in some of the goofiest of all the Bond movies. Live And Let Die was awesome, though. And The Man With The Golden Gun.

  21. Perhaps you could start a super secret BBS and start selling colecovision stuff underground. A retro dark web of sorts. As the great Henry Winkler once said, "What Mama don't know, can't hurt her."
  22. I have a TS1000. It's a neat little computer. My suggestion is to get a Ram expander of at least 16k. There are newer stuff like the Zxpand, which is I think 64k, but it's pretty pricey. A 16k isn't too expensive and it works with all the original software. There is a community that makes homebrew for it, but that is where stuff like the Zxpand comes in. Below is copied and pasted a post on where you can get software. Hope it helps. This is where you can find an extensive collection of ZX-81/ T/S 1000 games - Many will need the 16k expandable ram http://www.zx81stuff....uk/zx81/tape/c There is a utility here called Tape2Wave that will convert the .TZX files into a wave file that you can either put on a tape or play it though an mp3 player or a smart phone. http://www.worldofsp.../utilities.html I suggest Sea Wolf, City or Xon (Zaxxon Clone) and Pioneer Trail (Oregon Trail for the T/S 1000). Word of warning: You might have to load it a couple times as it may not load the first play-through.
