  1. Actually... Its going to be called JagZombies 3: Necro Brawl. The plan is to make an entirely different type of game. It's going to be a 2D fighting game in the style of Mortal Kombat with shooting game elements. You will select your zombie and fight head to head against a ladder of 10 other zombies until you reach the Batlord. The game will also contain a "shooting mode" similar to the first 2 games in spirit but work a bit differently. The shooting mode will be 3/4 top view (think cannon fodder or Syndicate) and you will help guide civilians to a safe point in each area by shooting a path through incoming zombies. The reason why the plans for this game are already drawn up is because there are events that are going to take place in the final level of JagZombies 2 (the Cathedral stage) that lead up to this. I put myself in the mind of the generic zombies getting shot and realized these were just normal people who never asked to be zombies and I think that angle can be played out nicely. So although I do appreciate your brainstorming of ideas and I will take notes on them, a very different sequel has already been drawn up.

  3. Well in any case you caught something I missed because that was NOT on my list. I was too focused on the creatures I never even noticed that wasn't doing what it was supposed to be doing. I should be able to fix that too, its just supposed to be a simple effect of each shell flying off screen but obviously we have an issue here when you rapid fire they are wigging out. I never noticed because I was focused on what I was rapid firing at (the spiders) so never even looked down there. I appreciate you catching that.

  6. Im very confused. I was assuming you were talking about the spider with the zombie head at the begining. When you fast forward to the 1:22 mark this is the spiders that fall from the ceiling and latch onto the screen. If you look up at the ceiling there are 3 spiders crawling accross the ceiling. Then shortly after 3 spiders latch onto the screen and slowly drain your health (Just like the AVP facehuggers) you shoot each one and they receive a bullet hole and fall downward, ie falling off the screen. This series of events I just detailed are nothing like what you just described. You MUST be talking about the giant spider with the zombie head. So the confusion im having is why you said the 1:22 mark? The zombie head spider sounds exactly like what you are talking about (and yes its jacked up) but that's not at the 1:22 mark... Just to clarify you are talking about the last video I posted right? Help me out here because if you're talking about what I THINK you're talking about I can fix that, but if you're talking about the screen spiders then I'm really not sure what you mean.
  7. The endless hallway was kind of the theme here so although unrealistic it was what I was going for. We can slow the speed of the hallway down to match the oncoming zombies here, I'll try doing that next. As for the "roaches" I assume you mean the spider with the zombie head at the begining and not the spiders that latch onto the screen? If this is what you are talking about then I'm guessing you mean the "get hit" animation that plays when you actually shoot it. His mandables are up in the air attacking then you shoot and hes standing straight. So although it's not actually resetting it does look off. I noticed that too. This will need to be replaced by a similar animation, possibly with the creature in mid-attack and flashing red.
  8. fixed the scrolling glitch here and added a new enemy. this turned out to be a very busy level.
  9. Its not a Youtube glitch. It's the game. I know whats causing it and its on my long list of things to do. Its should be a simple fix but that issue is task #39 on my list and I'm on task #9. and no I'm not being a wise ass. I actually made a list to tackle this thing as it seems to be the easiest way to manage everything.
  10. This is a WORK IN PROGRESS video showcasing the core gameplay elements of JagZombies 2 for the Atari Jaguar console. These elements include, the shotgun, the flame thrower mechanics, the grenade toss, T.N.T. display and item pickups. In addition to these features this video is the first public reveal of stage 5 SINISTER SEWERS. Please bare in mind that the game represented here in this video is still in a work in progress state, as such you will notice both graphical and collision issues particularly in the sewer stage. These things will be cleaned up and polished shortly. If you are interested in JagZombies 2 then stay tuned. There are still a ton of incredible surprises that this game will feature including some original creatures.

I don't have much of an update to share here today but a few new things gameplay mechanics such as collisions and zombie movements are still not set up The work represented here in this video is mostly just graphics and the environment again. I did add a shading/lighting effect to the zombies on stage 1 Blood Moon Forest that makes them appear to be emerging from the darkest. The further away they are, the darker they are and the closer they get to the camera here the brighter they appear. Please ignore the audio in this recording apparently I had another open window with an Atari 2600 games marathon playing in the background and didn't realize it. All of the audio from that was captured here.
  12. These tutorial threads will remain right? I sure hope so. There is a lot of useful information in these threads for people still interested in using RB+. You have always been very helpful ggn, thank you for all that you have done.

  14. Wait until you guys see the banana yellow and translucent aqua blue shells I have ordered and on the way. I'm not joking.
  15. Ok I know who this seller is. He has some other ones there too. Yes it is genuine Atari game he just swapped the shells out and replaced the labels. This is the guy who made the LED color changing dust cover cart. He's a nice guy. Just likes doing stuff with Jag. Now if you ever come across Jag games in clear and green shells from a guy that sells a lot of fish stuff trying to pass them off as real, they are NOT. That's who I was thinking this was, but it's not.

I mean its not like the materials cost me anything afterall I get it all for free from the flying saucer that flies over my house each night and then I dont even spend the time assembling them I just push the big red magic DO button and poof there it is! Gosh I wish you had commented earlier Stephen. It's all so clear now that you have contributed your input. I mean it makes total sense that if I am charging for products being made and sent to people that I have absolutely no right to participate in the forums or share ideas. I mean afterall what kind of guy goes around and charges for things that cost him money and time and then has the audacity to think he can talk to people and engage with the community?   20. Then let me spell it out for you so you can understand the point of the discussion. I wanted to gauge the interest in such a concept for the Jag. It seems people would in fact be interested in something like this. I then stated I wanted feedback on the ideas I already came up with and was curious about what other people might come up with so I encouraged other members to throw their ideas in the hat as well. The chances of me producing such a collection are pretty good in contrary to your very biased and negative prediction that you just had to make there. See this is YOU being a dick. This is YOU being toxic. This is exactly like Zerosquares comment. Do you think he didn't know he was being a dick? Oh he knew, and you knew what you were doing just there as well. Again 70% of the Jaguar forums are stupid "what if this happened the Jag might have been better" topics. Or "what is the Jaguar capable of" threads Then you have Songbird asking about a reprint on Battle Morph because Carl wants to gauge peoples interest. Nero_rg having the idea to release a more complete version of Soul Star on a glass mastered cd and gauging the interest from folks there Then you have a thread all about "what ports do you wish were on Jag?" But don't let Jeff come along and start talking about his ideas and asking people for input, oh hell no we can't have that shit because the world will just break if that happens. It's pretty simple bro. If you aren't interested in this idea and don't wish to contribute anything other than your elitest bullshit attitude then step off this thread. There's the door, don't let it hit you in the ass on the way out. I came to have a fun discussion about a neat and yes crazy idea. It's clear what y'all came for. You guys really need to get over yourselves for real.
