    GemRace

For those who want to burn a custom cart of Gem Race I have created a cover for a universal game case and adhesive cartridge label using the cover you created Felyx. Great cover by the way! below are the images
  3. It's just the free demo version from the Reboot website, but I really wanted it on cart for preservation. CD-Rs suck. Also I plan to buy the CD release from the RGDC website. But why isn't it available for sale in the Atari Age store? Just curious.
  4. Oh ok. Looking forward to seeing video of this bad boy in action. Looks sweet so far! Keep it up
  5. I have a serious request for Sporadic here on this one. Could you include rotary controls as an option? I have really wanted to play a racing game with the rotary controller but nobody has tried that yet. Since your project is still in the oven maybe you could add that in? Edit---- i said controks lol
  6. Oh everybody has their opinions. There are plenty of good examples of good games made with Raptor. Full Circle Rocketeer comes to mind. (That game is sickly addicting. A Rareware inspired game too) You guys should have put that one on cart for more Jaguar owners to enjoy. I have a cart of it now and im going to play the crap out of it.
  7. Im happy with the end result of Phear. Tetrisphere is one of the best N64 games available for the console. This is one we really don't need on the Jaguar. Even if it does surface one day I would probably just play it and be like "meh, its not Tetrisphere, Tetrisphere is better."
  8. What I mean is, how closely related is the Jaguar CD unit to the Philips CDi? The CDI was the result of the canceled philips cd add on for the snes just like the PlayStation was the result of the cancled sony snes cd add on. Now the Jaguar CD unit IS a cd add on made after the philips CDI. So is that what the SNES philips add on was just instead of a snes cartridge connector they implemented a jaguar cart connector or did they simply take the cd reader from the CDI and retrofit it to work on the Jaguar
  9. Am willing to trade my virtual boy with 6 games. Mario tennis, Mario Clash, Wario Land, teleroboxe, Red Alarm, Space Squash. Also has AC adapter. Or I could just pay cash for the Scuba. PM me if you are interested in the Virtual Boy or if you would prefer cash and you have a working SCUBA unit only. EDIT---- FOUND! Virtual Boy is still for sale if anybody is interested PM me
  10. No what needs to happen is a Jaguar CD replacement drive. Same cartridge connection type board with the rom chips from an actual Jaguar CD and its embedded programing cloned to a more modern front loading style PC cd rom drive. With all the neat contraptions that have been made for the jag in its afterlife Im surprised this hasnt already been tried. Of course now they have the Jaguar CD bios available so making a modern clone of the Jaguar CD unit should be more feasible. I have seen inside the Jaguar CD now and fully understand how cheaply it was constructed. I never knew phillips did such a bad job on that peripheral. I am also curious about what made the Philips CDI possible and if some of that "technology" was used in the Jaguar CD unit. I know they released the Jaguar VR under the name Scuba so it is possible
  11. Ok the game I was talking about was a game made with the PlayBasic compiler for PC in 2006. After running it I see that it is a different game entirely it just looks similar. I didn't know I thought maybe you made the other one then moved it over to Jaguar, I wasn't accusing you of anything. They just look very similar. I tried to get a video with Fraps but the damn thing won't record it crashes everytime I try. Anyway its pretty BASIC stuff, nothing too impressive. wonder if PlayBasic could be adapted to become a Jaguar dev environment?.... nope nope thinking too far outside the litter box again.... And why do you keep disappearing for 6 months and then coming back? People don't do that. It's weird. Stop doing that.
  12. Well Halloween 2016 is officially over and there is no Adams Family ST port from CJ. I was really hoping it would happen. Oh well maybe next year. In the meantime I will just play the SNES version on my ZSNES emulator.... and maybe some llamatron on the Jag....
  13. With all the audio extras CJ added and the near arcade perfect graphics from the ST version, do you agree that the Jaguar version is the BEST version ever ported? Or are one of your other versions you have your favorite?
  14. Are you referring to the frogger backdrops or the animated sprite backgrounds I have up there? If you are talking about the frogger backdrops, would you recommend i convert the image to 256 colors first? I dont have a skunkboard or anything like that the only way i can test on real hardware is build a .abs file and use jiffi to burn to a CD-R.
  15. I have seen this engine before. Im not bullshitting. It was even called hero it was made with one of those basic pc environments that are premade.... i am most certainly not in the group of AA folks that like to poke fun at people but I know what I have seen and this is pre existing. I will find the link but right now I am at work. It is possible I have just seen something very similar to this that has the same name but even the bat looks the same. Dont take offense I dont want more drama around here, let me verify my claim first. When I get home im going to look this up in my browser history.
  16. I really do appreciate your offer and I am glad that you want to contribute to the Jaguar community because it IS something special, however for this particular frogger thing I don't think a box is necessary. I really want to just focus on getting a game made and right now im using the frogger concept just to learn how to do stuff in raptor. If there is a salvageable game that may come out of this and I do decide to release it I ASSSURE you i will request your services for the box! Don't worry you will be making boxes for me but I just want you to know that the frogger thing is just to get my feet wet.... for now
  17. OK. I'm not trying to be complicated. I was just trying to figure out different ways to do things. (admittedly no real benefit) Thanks.
  18. This question is for anyone with experience in sprite files in raptor. I have noticed that most Jaguar projects have the 24 bit .bmp sprite files arranged vertically to be accessed. Is there a way to access a sprite image from a horizontal file such as the ones I have attached here? I am thinking there is a way but not sure exactly how. It doesn't have to be columns for the next image in the frame can it not be rows? Or should I just realign the sprites in the standard vertical format as everybody else? eyeball_strip12.bmp spr_mr_burger_strip15.bmp spr_red_sky_strip20.bmp spr_red_sky_strip20.bmp ship_strip16.bmp spr_VM_R_strip16.bmp lazer_L_R_spr_strip10.bmp spr_portal_exit_strip32.bmp explosion.bmp
  19. Again, I apologize. I don't know whats wrong with me today. I best not post anymore comments. I have no opinion on Jaguar Bomberman for the rest of the day.
  20. FUME INHALERS. Wow such emotion. With the history of the folks around here lashing out around here over trivial nonsense, are you really surprised? Maybe he just really hates bomberman. Better yet maybe he's not actually a FAN of the Jaguar. Madman would probably fancy himself playing Amiga or Atari ST games. Or perhaps the multiplayer is the real issue. Perhaps he never enjoyed Bomberman before due to not having enough friends to round up for a multiplayer game? (no 8-10 friends, huh buddy?) WOW those were really mean comments from me. I APOLOGIZE, SINCERELY. That smug Atari Age attitude seems to be rubbing off on me......
  21. Somebody suggested that I try my hand at making something more simple in RB+ to get more practice and experience. I figured since one of the first tutorials is the Frogger clone Doger, why not do my very own Frogger clone. For now it will just be called Frogger, and yes it will have an actual frog in it. I have already done some graphics work. I have a death screen that will be displayed similar to the one in the Doger example and 2 level backgrounds. The first is the SNES Frogger background but edited to look nicer. The second is an arctic background I made from scratch. I will probably use the logs from the SNES version and custom glaciers for the arctic themed level. Any suggestions?
  22. Roberth may I suggest that you try contacting this guy directly and asking him? Maybe he can give you an up to date answer to this. Bomberman on the Jaguar would be an awesome addition to the Jaguar's ever growing library of "New Retro" games. If you are lucky and he does give you some answers, maybe you could share them here so we all can know whats going on. (I still fondly remember the Bomberman 64 U.S. commercial with the retro spider man music.... lol) That box art is pretty cool too. On a side note, I wouldn't focus too much on the negativity of others, there is a NEED for pessimistic people in this world, because if they were not here we could all be living in fantasy all of the time. On the other hand that doesn't have to stop you or me or anybody else from remaining optimistic.
  23. Commando looks really fun. You know Halloween is right around the corner and a port of the Adams Family would be just awesome.
