  1. Regarding the esthetics of the game, do you plan on adding colorful backgrounds behind the sphere puzzles like in Tetrisphere? Perhaps some space scenery? Maybe clouds and blue skies? Some trippy psychedelic backgrounds maybe? Just curious. In regards to the name, PhobozSphere kind of rolls off the tongue easily and it helps distinguish it from Phear and Tetrisphere respectfully. I hope you do use that name. Let me know if you require any help with this project be it testing or anything graphic related. I would be happy to lend a hand.
  2. PhobozSphere. nice. Keep it up let's see where this goes sir! 👍
  3. Both versions work but there is a white flashing effect. Vladr_time_trial.rom VLADR Enemies.rom
  4. It is in fact owned by Atari, it was only published by Telegames. (Maybe Telegames would have needed to get royalties?) I'm surprised Space War 2000 didn't show up as it is listed in Atari's IP catalogue. overall it seems like a well rounded package and an excellent chunk of Atari history. I'm ready for the VCS release already!
  5. My mind is BLOWN. I swear I never saw this before! How did I miss this?????
  6. I had no idea the original was on mobile free to play. Was it iphone only? Because I never saw it on Android.
  7. Possibly a cart with a bad resister. This can actually be repaired. But I will gladly shoot you a new cart and take that one off your hands
  8. I can send your replacement cart first before you send the other back. The box and everything you can keep as for it being on a K model I test all of my carts on a K and M model and there are no known compatibility issues with K-A Aircars on a K model In fact this very well could be a bad cart! are you getting the Jaguar red screen?
  9. You can have a replacement cart if you want but honestly with all of the other carts you mentioned having issues with it sounds more like a problem with your Jag rather than a problem with my cart. (has AA replaced any of those AA carts you said have issues?) I have about 30 copies of K-A Aircars here lying around so its no big deal to send you a replacement. Just shoot me your mailing address in a PM and I will get it right out to you. I want the other cart sent back to me once you have it though.
  10. I really like what you have done here with this demo. I have always wanted to see more voxel stuff on the Jag. I can't wait to see where this goes great to see the gangs all still together around here
  11. I dont know if my source is reliable or not, only time will tell but I have been told Tempest 3000 (nuon) will be in this collection along with T2K. If it turns out to be true that is awesome. I also think the Spacewar 2000 Jaguar prototype should be included even though there is no mention of it. The game is represented in Ataris 2022 IP catalog so if they have made a point to say its their property up until this point why wouldn't they? Maybe there will be a seperate tab for things like prototypes and unreleased games like Marble Madness 2 and such. The real question I have is WHERE THE HELL IS BLASTEROIDS? Its been well over 30 years now and Im pretty sure Blasteroids was the OFFICIAL sequel to Asteroids. Its not listed in the IP catalog either but I dont think they are actually listing ALL of their IPs. I loved the arcade version of Blasteroids. I played another version for pc or something and I didnt like that one but the arcade Blasteroids was one of my favorites. I really hope it gets some love. Im actually really excited about this release. I havent been this excited since I was waiting on Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze to drop on the Wii U
  12. Hi guys. Hope you are all doing swell, I'm going to throw my name in the hat here for the 2022 sci-fi monster game JagZombies ZERO which is currently a W.I.P. aimed at a September release date. The game is being created by myself (Wave 1 Games) with the help of Protofactor Inc. I will have much more info and its very own thread here in the next couple of weeks. video-1656647835(1).mp4 Credit goes to Kazdan Azahn for the creation of the above title screen.
  13. What I like about it is it proves they are trying new things and they aren't just giving us the same old set of crap games we have gotten in soooooo many collections over the last 25-30 years. Its always Asteroids and centipede and pong or whatever. No now we get some Lynx and Jag games. Some brand new takes on old favorites. Concept art behind the scenes video interviews and backstory into the development of each game. They really are going all out here! Its bonkers!!!! And I love it!!!
  14. The jaguar emulation will be flawless. I guarantee it. Its already flawless for cybermorph and the others in the phoenix emu for windows. Im not sure whats wrong with people and why they have completely overlooked phoenix emu and everyone default go to is Virtual Jaguar which still struggles to this day. Im more excited about the new games VCTR SCTR Neo Breakout QuadraTanks Swordquest Airworld Haunted Houses Yars Reimagined They are also including concept art behind the scenes video interviews and other goodies for every single game. They are going above and beyond for this
  15. Its cute that you think you can regulate the price of the game based on your opinion and wether or not YOU like it. Unfortunately in the real world you don't decide the price, the author does. $20 isn't going to break anyone and this is the price point the author has decided on. As somebody else already mentioned you cant even get a tank of gas for $20 anymore. Speaking as a developer myself, this is not what devs want to hear when they release something they put their hard time and effort in. The sacrifice of time that could have been spent with their families they spent creating something new and unique for people to enjoy. Its very discouraging and frankly unnecessary. If you didn't want to pay $20 you didnt have to. The best thing to do if the price point is too high for you is to just not buy it. Sitting their trying to justify what YOU think it should be is bonkers to me. You have no reference point or anything, you just stick a price on it just because you say it should be so. You wouldn't barter with a game store on a new release so why the negative comments here with this guy? $20 is a fine price for the game. I dont see what all of the bitching is about. Stop gauging peoples hard work on your own personal budget. In the end you do nothing but piss the devs off with that crap. And guess what? It's still $20 so move on!
  16. I forgot to mention that when you die there is a chicken clucking sound effect.... I don't know why but I love this! ?
  17. I bought it JUST to support the developer as I dont really even have time to play games anymore. But I could see the effort put into it and this is the kind of thing that needs to continue. I did play the game for like 5 minutes but I had other more pressing issues at the time. From what I played it reminded me of super monkey ball and jet grind radio. I think people have gotten so used to complaining when something new comes out that its just forced habit at this point and they have forgotten how to even be excited. If $20 is too much for you then maybe you shouldn't buy it. But that IS the price.
  18. You bought that TaCo BoX???? I don't know why you bought that thing, YoU cAn BuY a ReTrO Raspberry Blueeeberry strawberry pi for less and put a taco in a toaster and buy a mini pc and play all the old games on the newest flashback gold. Here's my favorite one I read online: Why not just take a dead VCS shell and shove a good PC motherboard in it? Thats the same thing RIGHT? RiGhT? I'm sure it is because that sounds S.M.A.R.T. ? I mean at the end of the day ItS jUsT aNoThEr OUYAAAAAA Welcome to the club and good luck with your music
  19. I dont think so. By default the Atari VCS will boot to a USB drive. I know this as I connected my USB SSD with Windows 10 on it (from MY vcs) directly to my new VCS I bought for $99 right out of the box! It booted up just fine. There aren't any extra steps for the end user. That's the whole point well..... buying the dock would be an extra step. But that's why I originally said USB carts made from thumb drives and 2600 shells
  20. Not only that but this idea is meant to extend the VCS life by adding a new potential source for homebrew games should the good servers at ATARI VCS LTD go down in the future. NEW content. Not the ability to load older games. That has been done to death already anyway. I'm fairly sure that anyone who owns a modern VCS probably already has a way to play these older games. They either own original hardware or 1 of a bazillion compilation packs that have been released over the last 40 years. I'm staring at a Flashback 9 right now in front of my TV that has all of the older games loaded onto an SD card, thats on the top shelf. Exactly one shelf down is my AV modded 7800 and the 10 or so carts that have survived decades of me not playing them. I can't be the only one! And yes I said Atari VCS LTD. The company that is the registered owner of the VCS is a sub brand of Atari SA, and an LTD on top of that! However long the VCS has left, Atari SA seems to have their companies best interest at heart. I want to enjoy the system for what it is and get the most we can out of it for as long as we can. I really hope other developers get on board with this idea too. I guess folks could create a new storefront in the future to replace the Atari one but that sounds complicated just thinking about it. Would likely require owners to mod their systems similar to how people modded their Wiis. I dont see a whole lot of people wanting to do that. Physical carts that people can hold in their hands and enjoy a new game? Thats what Atari homebrew is all about. That's FUN!
  21. Well the young lady who does my manuals has already started banging away on the JZ2 manual for the VCS release. Its a rough draft so far but it looks good! I better get busy!
