WAVE 1 GAMES

Hello folks, recent times have been a bit of a bummer with all of the insanity going on in the world so I have been trying to do things that are a bit less stressful. I woke up one day last week and said "you know what? I'm gonna try my hand at porting over that COJAG arcade game Fishin' Frenzy over to the actual Jaguar console" So I started on it already. I used PhotoShop 2020 and honeycam to rip most of the graphics from the game. About 70% of everything in the actual arcade game has already been ripped and I am still ripping sprites and such now. I have spent about 2 or 3 days on this conversion so far and it's coming along nicely. Now being that I don't have the actual source code to the original arcade game, this is actually a re-creation and not an actual port. With that being said I am convinced I can make a 100% accurate replica of the arcade game. One cool thing about this is that I can run the real game in MAME and at the same time run my version in Virtual Jaguar and simultaneously control both games with the same controller. This sounds bizarre but is actually very helpful in identifying what needs to be changed in my version vs the real thing. Below is a video of both my conversion and the real game. MAME is running on the right and the Jaguar version is running on the left in Virtual Jaguar so you guys can get an idea of just how close it's coming along. You may notice that some of the sound effects are not exactly the same. This is because I was unable to rip some sounds like the "Cha-Ching!" sound when you catch a fish. For these sounds I found similar samples online and adjusted the pitch using audacity to match the original sounds as close as possible. Anyway working on this little guy has been very relaxing and I am enjoying the hell out of it! Have a look!

$60 JagZombies is also not an RB+ tutorial reskinned. I am not throwing a temper tantrum as you call it, I'm fact checking you because with all of the accusations y'all are throwing around you NEED to be fact checked. I'm not hung up on the price I'm hung up on the entire accusation. The point you are trying to drive home is don't re-skin RB+ examples and sell them, which I did not do. There was no criticizing going on here, there was straight up shit talking for no real reason. All because somebody said they bought some of my games? What is that? Yes you did LIE. You just said I re-skinned an RB+ tutorial and charged $80 for it. WHICH TUTORIAL WOULD THAT BE???? because I don't seem to have the crosshair/shooting game tutorial in my package. Oh yeah I am still releasing a shooter called Neon Invaders and I'll send you the .bas file to the game when it's done so you can see for yourself not a single line of code from your tutorial is used there. What I have made here runs circles around that shootbang shit example you FALSELY ACCUSED me of using. In fact when it's released I will go the extra mile and post the source code PUBLICLY so people who are interested can compare and contrast and see I am not just "re-skinning" your examples. In Fast Food there is a crosshair and things scale towards the screen.... in Saucer Wars there is also a crosshair and things scale towards the screen. OH THEY MUST BE THE SAME GAME WITH DIFFERENT ASSETS! That's like saying Sonic the hedgehog is a re-skin of super mario bros because they are both side scrollers. Yes I am familiar with the very primitive Shootbang example, and I have studied how it works. (including it's flaws) But I haven't copied and pasted a single line of code from that for my game, but hey that doesn't have to stop you from lying about it now does it? this is another false accusation. Only game that was ever sold for $80 was Saucer Wars. It is not a reskinned RB+ tutorial. You are lying. This is what I took issue with right here. Have you received your copy of Saucer Wars yet? I know you've been waiting but never heard back if you got it yet. I think once you actually play that game you will see just how much I have listened to criticism and I have improved. This whole thing wasn't about fair criticism. I came into this thread to read about the topic of discussion only to discover people in here making fun of me and my games. It was also clear to me that some of those individuals were just repeating things they heard others say. Then others dropped in spreading more false information. I'm not going to stand by while people sit around making jokes and dumb comments at my expense and remain quiet. There is a time and place for every discussion and this was not the place for this. The only game that was $80 was Saucer Wars and that was 1 year ago. My CD games are 19.99 and some of my cart games are $45 the highest being $60. I'm not taking advantage of anything. I have parts I have supplies and I have to make every game by hand. My prices reflect my work and I shouldn't have to explain that to you but I guess I do. Taking advantage of the community is somebody selling a copy of Rayman for $140. All of my games are priced fairly and all you have to do is look at my website (that is maintained and paid for by magical fairies) and you can verify that. Like I said if folks think my games are too expensive they don't have to buy them in physical form thats just less work for me. As for me giving my games away for free a lot of my Jag games ARE available for free on gamejolt.com in ROM format. I also posted several W.I.P. public builds of Saucer Wars for people to try who can't afford the high end $55 price tag for the final version of the game.

Fast Food 64 was released first. So how could it be an asset swap of the subgame from Frogz? It's funny you mention my paying customers as Kevin Moseley above commented on Saucer Wars and praised the game. You're also wrong on just about everything else you said. I did not simply copy and paste assets from Fast Food to Saucer Wars and I think you know that. Saucer Wars was made from scratch, and I believe you know that but its much easier for you to just parrot what somebody else says and to those who wouldn't know and aren't experienced in making anything for Jag they are much more inclined to believe you because they do look similar. You couldn't be more specific as to "all of the same bugs as the subgame from fast food 64" when talking about Saucer Wars. Because its a false claim. Elaborate on Saucer Wars Laarence, please tell the good people all of the "game breaking bugs" from YOUR experience playing Saucer Wars. Oh you can't because you haven't played it at all. Holiday Snacks is also not an asset swap of Fast Food 64. It was written from scratch and doesn't even work the same way. This can be proven I could send you the .bas for both games to fact check your ass but it really wouldn't matter because Holiday Snacks is a SEQUEL to FF64 anyway and of course they are going to look and play similar to the player. None of my games are $80. Haven't been for a long time. And there is a difference between trying to call somebody out on some "antics" and people just sitting around clowning somebody and their work and parroting what others say. No antics here. You yourself even said Saucer Wars wasn't that bad so I don't know what you mean by "antics" Considering the work and materials that goes into my games I think every one of my games is priced fairly on my site and my eBay and if anyone diaagrees with that then they don't have to purchase them and I don't have to waste the time and energy making it for them. Makes no difference to me.

Obviously I got permission for K-A, Just like I got permission for TRF. My nose is clean. I'm staying off of here for a while. Some folks here bring out the worst in me! Lol I was just giving you a hard time man! I like Escape 2042 as well. Actually escape 2042 and Osmosyz are the only 2 games from Orion that I really like. I never could get into Elanser or Philia and Alice's Mom's Rescue I have several issues with, however I can see how that game can appeal to certain fans of 2d sidescrollers.

Escape 2042 wasn't released between the years of 1995-2015. I don't think Philia was either. (Could be wrong) Skyhammer is not a homebrew. It was a commercial game being prepared for a commercial release by a commercial game company. There was nothing "homebrew" about it. It was just unreleased. Also the ST ports are not homebrews, they are ST ports. Conversions of Atari ST code made to run on Jag....... Well I guess those sort of count as homebrews. Also CyranoJ does not like to associate the Reboot name with the ST ports. Also you didn't mention Ozmosyz by Orion. How dare you. I do agree Project One is a good game. Definitely a favorite of mine.

Osmozys by Orion and Fallen Angels by Dr Typo. Hands down best 2 homebrew Jaguar games from 95-2015 I also like Project One from Jagware and Reboot but wtf do I know...
