  1. Of course you post that moments before I was to submit 137,354 pts. Well, no sense in me posting that pic now. Especially since it doesn't exist.
  2. I just noticed NCG holds our club's record with over 229k. The elimination in Venture apparently saved us both from a butt whipping. Hey NCG! Despite the fact that you're not in this round, you should still gun for your record and see if you set a new one (eliminated from tourney or not, a record-setting performance is a record-setting performance. Go for it!)
  3. H.E.R.O.: 83,635 pts. This is probably as good as it gets for me. Easily the best run I've ever had (I reached level 14 before losing a single life). Not to toot my own horn, but there aren't many Coleco games where I encounter players who CRUSH my score in a game (unless I'm terrible at a game, like Bump n' Jump). I haven't been able to sniff 100k yet, let alone 130k. Impressive gaming, Joe!
  4. Haven't been able to top my own best of 70,785 points yet, but I am getting about 64,000 and reaching level 14 regularly now.
  5. I actually did not know that. When I fired a few shots and it looked like there was no damage to the wall, I just simply gave up. Damn. Thanks! Still not going to come close to your 100k, though.
  6. I only saw the movie ONCE (years after friends constantly hounding me and telling me I need to see it). It's okay, but not one of my favorites. The rule for Fight Club (a club where they get together to have fights) is that you DON'T talk about Fight Club. That rule has been a running gag on the Internet for years that is applied to whatever you want to apply it to. Gags/jokes aside, keep talking about the Colecovision High Score Club. It's an awesome club!
  7. But the so-called Coleco company is a family-friendly one that doesn't allow anything inappropriate for children! You guys have no idea how hard it was for me to type that with a straight face.
  8. Makes sense. Although you can not use the NES zapper on today's HDTVs, you can still play Duck Hunt on the HDTV via the Wii and firing/aiming with the Wii remote.
  9. HERO: 58,970 pts. What a terrible fate for me at the end of this run. There I was on this screen with plenty of time left to beat the level, but NO DYNAMITE REMAINING. I just stood there wondering what to do, then when the timer was ready to expire, I destroyed the bat for extra points above the water and ended the game by falling into the water. It took me a lot of runs to do this well and get this far. I'll give it another go sometime, but it's unlikely that I top jbenkle's score.
  10. Agreed on all counts. I see they're still using Ben's design, as well.
  11. JEEZ! Mighty impressive. It's hard enough just to get 90k. I think my personal best was about 129k or 130k, but it certainly wasn't near the 173k you just posted. You did this with only one player playing, yes?
  12. Sewer Sam [skill 1]: 15,077 pts. Ed's video was most helpful in figuring out what to do. After destroying 3 submarines, Sam comes out of the sewer and salutes the statue of liberty, and then falls into the sewer again for the start of the next level. I was able to destroy 4 submarines before this game over (3 for the first level and 1 on the next level). Thanks again, Ed!
  13. Gave the game another try and still not finding any submarines anywhere. Skill 1: 3,071 pts.
  14. Never really played this game before. Had to read the instructions to figure out what to do. I've yet to see a submarine anywhere (unless the shark fins I see are subs and not shark fins). 1,017 pts on skill 1.
  15. I'm still waiting for their first Colecovision Expo to be announced. All I saw announced this year was Costume Ghost Town, USA.
  16. My mind was blown after reading all that garbage. I guess normal people like us can't handle all that CR8TIVE SHIT.
