What's hilarious is that Cardillo pretends that it isn't him replying by saying that the attack is on one their "employees". WE KNOW IT'S YOU FOOL ! ! ! ! ! !
This appears to be a common tactic of his to avoid answering actual question(s). Although it seems from Pat's YouTube video that Cardillo is a master of that even face-to-face. In Pat's YouTube video, Pat recalls asking Cardillo about his knowledge of the Chameleon being a fake and that Cardillo just totally ignored the question and didn't respond - TWICE ! ! !
All the more reason to believe Cardillo knew what a farce the Chameleon was from the get-go.

Using the ROM that was posted here (I always get mine from the same site). Thanks for the map. I'll give it a look and try the game again later.

Pitfall II is BS. I liked the original game, but there are no balloons for me in this game. I've hit every button at virtually every edge and I never once see a balloon. I'm stuck with no way of returning to the surface.

Appears from GI Joe forums that Cardillo is the front man for Black Majors/Red Viper Brand in the US
Which are Hasbro figures molds , IE Hasbro Copyrighted figures with Hasbro Trademarks used without permission
I'm beginning to think that all the face-palming I've done this week is the reason I have such a horrible headache tonight. His ridiculousness reaches new heights each day and I've apparently given myself whiplash.

Cardillo's antics just remind me of when they interviewed Rick James on the Chapelle Show.
"What am I going to do? Grind Eddie's couch, like it's something to do? Come on, I got more sense than that! Yeah, I remember grinding Eddie's couch."-

Cardillo's hypocrisy reaches new levels of stupidity. Knowing is half the battle; for Cardillo, knowing anything is apparently a losing battle.

I'm glad to see Pat's video has almost 16,000 views already (about 10,000 more views than ColecoToys has followers on Facebook, LOL). The truth about what a joke Cardillo and Coleco Holdings really are is spreading quickly.
Edit: I see the video has 40 thumbs down... had no idea RWB employed that many clowns. -
Again dear Coleco,
Not all of us live in your little small world of trying to squeeze peanuts from video games. I have a real world job, with a substantial wage. In order to me to justify Opcode was a business, considering the many hours I spend on each project and my real world wage, I would have to sell thousands of copies of each game.
So all this mess because you again don't have a clue about the ColecoVision homebrew scene and why we do what we do. Also, I would like to remind you that I am one of the very few CV homebrew authors that actually publish their own games. I do that because I don't think anyone else can produce the games with the quality I want, which again goes to show that I am not on this for money, otherwise I would use more affordable alternatives, or I would be publishing other authors as well (which I never did, it has always been a very personal endeavor for me).
I know you have a very hard time understanding that, but this shit for me is about being passionate about the ColecoVision and retro games in general. I have been doing this for more than 15 years, not just because it is now "hot".
Have a great night and don't forget to enjoy your brand!
The "brand" they've damaged countless times since the Chameleon debacle. The brand they've just poured gasoline on and lit a match to. They'd be more successful by just sitting with their thumbs up their butts and doing nothing.

Finally had the time to watch Pat's video. Pat is 100% right throughout the video. He's especially right when he said that in light of Cardillo's recent actions, we seriously have to question him and his cronies and wonder if they knew all along what Kennedy was doing. The actions of Cardillo and others at Coleco Holdings lately shows that they have a serious lack of character and we have to question if they EVER had any.

And as Flojo already pointed out: they won't offer their "proof" unless they get something in return first. It's like the idiot who plays poker and tries to bluff by stating "I have four aces, you better fold now" when the other guy's holding two aces himself.

What are they trying to do here? Erase history? Or just can't handle someone with a large internet following calling them out on their bad actions? Note that they want something in return for their "proof."
So they NEED Pat's word to potentially clear their name? In other words, they have zilch. If you have something that can clear your name, you'd shout it from the mountaintops and post it for the world to see! I also find it funny that they think they need somebody's word about something they're lying about, but didn't feel the need to get Nintendo's words/permission or Konami's words/permission or anybody else's words/permission for their promotional materials.

People who don't understand what the word "trope" means.
The word is being used properly in this topic, however. It lists the lies/exaggerations and ironies of overused viewpoints.

I know this probably and shouldn't but will get political, but why shouldn't toy stores break up sections by gender? I don't see much utility in having GIJoe and Barbie on the same shelf. Not saying either can't play with the others toys, but there's no harm in clustering things together for similar interests.
There's a difference between saying that girls' toys like Barbies go here and boys' toys like G.I. Joe go here as opposed to saying that toys which should be gender-less (like the NES and other video game consoles) being declared a boy's toy. Back then, EVERYTHING had to be put into a gender category (which was very stupid and narrow-minded); that narrow-mindedness only further reinforced and perpetuated negative gender roles.

Loved playing The Godfather: Blackhand Edition on the Wii. Aside from that, I mostly played Donkey Kong Country Returns, Namco Museum Remix, Mario Kart Wii, and New Super Mario Bros. Wii.
-
I didn't play many games on the PS1, but I did play these and enjoy them:
Air Combat
Crash Bandicoot
Crash Bandicoot 2
Final Fantasy VII
Metal Gear Solid
Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee
Twisted Metal
Twisted Metal 2 (3 and 4 sucked, in my opinion)
989 Sports made some decent sports games (I enjoyed the NFL Gameday games). -
I loved the Ace Combat games on the PS2 (Ace Combat 4: Shattered Skies was my favorite). Before Ace Combat, I played Air Combat on the PS1 when it first came out.
In Air Combat for the PS1, if you had the misfortune of taking major damage early in a level, you'd spend that entire level hearing a voice saying, "I'm hit, body damage!" (not sure if those were the exact words, but I know the words body damage were repeated). It goes on and on and on... your brain makes you want to scream, "NO SHIT, SHERLOCK!" -
I'm surprised this one wasn't listed yet...
"Video games aren't for girls."
There were many who had that mentality (and sadly many still do). Don't forget: back in the 1980s, toy stores separated toys by gender. Video game consoles like the NES were in the "boys" section of toy stores.-

Venture is my all time favorite Atari 2600 game, so I've been wanting to set the HighScore.com world record in it for a very long time. Today was finally the day!

Venture (Atari 2600, B/B Difficulty): 26,300

Way harder than the Colecovision port. On the Atari 2600 port, I sometimes get 13-15k and other times I struggle with a meager 6k. It's the unpredictable movements OUTSIDE of the rooms that get me.

I think the best way to do it would actually be to buy a game IP you quite dislike.

Then you don't have to worry about pissing off the fanbase--because they're just a pack of morons, amirite?
And you don't have to do anything with the IP, which is really, really easy.
But, when one of said fans tries it, you smoke them as hard as possible.
See, then you still *have* it, and can also enjoy the fact that nobody else ever will.
Perhaps the Cruis'n franchise. That comes right to mind.
You forgot the part where Cardillo probably said "They can blow it out their banjo kazooie"
-
Geniuses: I'm not actually considering buying retro game IP, just pondering what might be motivating chuckleheads like Kennedy and Cardillo. :-)
If I were wealthy and money were no object to me, I'd do it. I'd do it simply for the sake of avoiding confusion and unnecessary drama in regards to copyright/trademarks/etc. If I owned everything, it would avoid confusion in the laws and in regards to ownership; I'd also make it easy for anybody to contact me about dealings together (whether it be today's game companies or the homebrew community, especially the homebrew community to help them find success in their passions as well).
Can anybody give me the upcoming PowerBall numbers so we can make this a reality?

There is a Wico Command Control for ColecoVision that looks good in idea, but it looks like it would be big and clunky. The keypad looks like it is on the wrong side to be convenient, like it would be awkward having to reach past the joystick. And although a lot of people seem to really like the bat style wico command control joystick for the atari 2600, i found the dead zone and range of motion too large for my liking. I am leery the joystick may be the same on this one. I like the ones you can twitch down in the hollow between your thumb and index finger.
Anyone found this better than this or something like it but better?

I had that controller at one point. HATED IT. Absolutely hated it. I liked the original Colecovision controllers much better. I also liked the Flashback controllers; I thought the shorter stick for the knob was a good idea. The best controller is probably a modification of the original Colecovision controller itself, however. The Wico was the worst. It will haunt my memories forever.
Edit: I have an Atari 7800 I haven't hooked up yet. The controls for that look terrible; I wouldn't be surprised if it's just as bad - or worse than - the Wico.

Thanks again for the map, NCG. Very much appreciated! I was at that spot where the balloon appears before, but I apparently had to jump several times for it to appear (and wait for the bat to fly by). Sadly, it still seems impossible to get back to the top where you started the game at. After rescuing the cat - or whatever that thing was - and the mouse, it appears there's no way back up and I'm back to swimming in the waters and going down the depths.
