I will have to try that on the conveyor belt room next time I play. I still havnt beat it on one player so I still need to play. My buddy who was with me had had the score loop on kung fu. He has it on his YouTube I believe. He has a few world records actually. I do not lol.

I beat two games for the first time today. The first was Kung Fu on NES. Yet another nes game that loops forever and has no real ending. So I played til I completed the first loop and considered it done. The second game was Double Dragon 2 on co op. Me and my buddy have been working on this one for a while. I am no good at timing my flying knee, and struggled with the conveyor belt room toward the end, but I finally had a decent run and we beat it. I still lost all my lives but one on that damn conveyor belt but thankfully made it.

Today I beat Barbie on NES. Honestly it's not the worst ever. It's a platformer where you use your diamond to trigger items that help you progress. There are some unique but easy boss fights too. The platforming is clunky and the music is annoying and I dont reccomend it, but again it's not the worst.

I hate that damn cat lol always ruining things when I'm doing good.

Today I beat City Connection on NES. This is another game like Xenophobe and Popeye with no actual ending. I completed 1 loop and a few levels after so I'm considering this one beat as well. I actually had a lot of fun with this game and wouldn't mind giving the arcade version a shot after this.

The other day I beat Tournament Fighters on SNES on the hardest difficulty. I died once, but I still consider it beat. This game is a lot of fun and has a street fighter feel to it. I dont know how I got such a low score lol I'm not sure what else I could have done other then not die once. This is a great game and I will for sure be playing more of it.

I recently beat Popeye and Xenophobe on NES. these games dont have an ending, but after talking to a few people we decided that 2 loops is complete for Popeye and 1 loop is needed to beat Xenophobe. This is because the second loop of Popeye is different, but Xenophobe doesn't change or get harder. Also when timing speed runs or world records they only count 1 loop. Popeye is the better game in my opinion. Theres more strategy to it whereas in Xenophobe you just hang out and jump and shoot the same alien over and over. No screenshots since theres no ending. Just pictures from Instagram. These were also part of the #alphabetgamechallenge I also beat Contra, Super C, and NARC all in Co op for the first time. My buddy, who is Hurricane Mixer on YouTube, has a bunch of Famicom world records so it was nice to finally play with another good Contra player. NARC is still really easy lol. No continues used on any game.

I have a question guys. I have been playing a bunch of NES lately, and two games I played are Popeye and Xenophobe. Both of these games dont have an ending and loop forever. At what point do you consider these games beat?

Today I beat Cabal on NES. I recently found out about this game while searching through arcade stuff and knew I had to get the nes version. I was slightly disappointed when I got the game because the controls are hard to get used to. Your cursor will take forever to move left and right and it feels almost the opposite of Operation Wolf, the game I beat just before this. The sluggish controls and strange hitbox make for some awkward gameplay, but again I made the best of it and played til I was used to it. I would honestly rather play punisher then this if I was going to play a game of this genre, but it's not bad.

I didn't do great saving the hostages I was just trying to get through the game lol. I managed to save a few granades for the last boss so that made him a little more manageable.

Today I best operation wolf on nes for the first time. I've been on a roll with nes games lately! I'm doing a challenge on Instagram where you post a game that starts with each letter of the alphabet and today was O so that's why I picked this one. I was just messing around looking for stuff to say and wound up beating it. It just tells you to keep playing after you win so I did and finally got a game over on the last level on my second loop. Great game and I'm disappointed I didn't play it sooner.

I definitely farmed for lives on the first level . And yeah the way you kill mr.big is bs. Once I figured it out I killed him in a few seconds.

Randomly beat two games today! First I beat Jaws on NES. This was a really easy game. I posted it on Instagram and it got a lot of positive feedback so I decided to play. I havnt played in maybe 20 years but I finally beat it! This game isn't great, but not as bad as everyone says. Next was NARC on NES. My buddy came by for the first time in a while yesterday and this was the game we picked. We got to the last boss easily but then we died. I had to look up the trick to beating mr.big, but afterwards I beat this game no problem.

Today I beat Real Bout Fatal Fury for the first time on the hardest difficulty. Once I got the patterns down this game wasnt too difficult. I think Hon Fu is the hardest.

Gotta post my last post here before moving on to 2019! Not too many more games beaten since last time. Someone had recommended Twin Cobra so I bought that and beat it. It is now my favorite NES shmup! Next was Va11 Ha11a on Vita. Not really a game that you play, its more like a game that you read and mix drinks along the way. I had a lot of fun getting to know the characters in the bar though and wouldn't mind playing through it again. Great game! And finally I beat Fast Striker by ng dev team on Vita on orginal mode. I have beaten this before on dreamcast, but not on Vita. Working on maniac mode now. That's all. Happy new year everyone! (Sorry if that last picture is upside down!)

Did anyone else pick this up from play asia? I love that ng dev team did this. I wish they would port all of their games to Vita. Working on beating maniac mode right now. I will probably never beat omake mode lol.
-
Did anyone else grab one of these? Ng dev team had a second printing of Last Hope for Neo Geo CD with the manual and spine cards being originals from 2007.

Just beat the original Zelda for the first time! It's kind of weird because this is one of the first games I ever played growing up. I remembered enough and I also had the map so I was able to get through it pretty easily other then the last level. I kept getting lost, ran out of keys, and missed the blue arrows so I kept fighting Ganon and not killing him like a dummy. Really happy to finally have this one beat!

Ok so I havnt posted for a long time and havnt had a lot of time to play games because of work, but I have some down time and thought I would update my games beaten this year! Mr.Bones on Sega Saturn This game was all over the place. It starts out as mostly a platformer, but you will wind up playing some very unique levels including music levels, swimming and ice levels, and even a level where you have to tell jokes. I didnt take a screenshot of my TV for some reason, but here is a shot of my favorite level Hall of Pane where a giant skeleton bird smashes you through stained glass windows and you have to collect orbs to stay alive. Alien Syndrome on NES. This was a fairly easy game that has a top down perspective sort of like Gauntlet. Go through the level, save the people, find the exit, fight a boss, rinse and repeat. Beat it in one try and not sure if I would go back to it. Maybe on two players if someone else wanted to play. Tiny Toons Busters Hidden Treasure on Sega Genesis Nothing too special about this game. Wanted to play after beating the NES game. The later levels were slightly challenging, like the volcano levels, but there's an extra life in level 1 that takes only a second to get so you can always go back to stay alive. Standard platformer here. The Walking Dead season 3 on ps4 No screenshot so here's a picture from my Instagram. This was probably one of the worst games yet by Telltale games. I'm really sad to see the company go, but I cant pretend this was a good game. It was hard to feel for these characters and to get interested in their stories. I only really cared for Clem and she wasnt even the main character. Maybe I'm just done with Walking Dead overall. Pokemon Snap on n64 (I almost typed pokemon go) This was my first time playing through this game since I was a kid so I'm including it. This was another easy game, but really fun and relaxing and a nice break from the platformers, fighters, and shmups I usually like to play. This game needs a sequel! Joe and Mac SNES I love the Joe and Mac series and this is no exception. Classic caveman ninja action here and it looks great on the snes. Honestly, there's a lot of the same stuff from the original game, but the ending with the devil guy was cool. 1942 on NES Unfortunately I was really disappointed with this game. I had wanted to play it forever and finally got it for cheap at a flea market and was really excited to finally play. What I got was a game that was too long and repetitive and also very annoying. I had to turn the sound off because of the ping sound your bullets make and there's only one boss that you fight over and over. There are maybe 4 enemies with easy patterns to memorize. I beat this in one try and in the end all it says is congratulations really fast so I only got a screenshot of my high score. Hyperzone on SNES One of my coworkers gave me his old snes and games for free and this was one of them. I had never heard of it but it was a lot of fun! It's like star fox mixed with f zero. This also was not a hard game and I think I beat it in 2 or 3 tries. After level 4 I think you can use a charge blast that will carry you through the rest of the game. I recommend this one especially since it's cheap. Legendary Wings on NES This is a game from my childhood that I am really happy to have completed. I have been to the last boss several times and never beat him til recently. Theres not a whole lot to say other then it's a fun shmup that goes from verticle to horizontal and has a pretty standard power up system. Virtua Fighter Kids on Sega STV What a great game and addition to the arcade collection. I have always loved the virtua fighter series and this one is no exception. Its exactly virtua fighter 2 with different looking characters, but I dont care. I had a lot of fun beating this for my first time and will for sure be playing it often. Trouble Shooter on Sega Genesis This was a unique shmup by Vik Tokai where you control two characters. Your main character is the one who takes damage, and with the c button you can make your second character shoot behind you. I had a lot of fun with this game, but I dont think it was worth the price I paid. It was short, only 5 levels I think with the last level being a boss rush type thing. I want to recommend this, but dont pay the Ebay prices just wait for a deal. Kirby Adventure on NES This was my first time playing through this game and honestly I thought it was boring. I felt like I could take so much damage that I could just fly though the levels crashing into everything and i would still win. The last boss was a lot of fun and that was probably the only part where I died more then once. I only got 77% complete in the end but I dont feel like going for 100. Moving on. King of Fighters 2000 on Neo Geo MVS Another great addition to the mvs/ arcade collection. Before this the only kof game on mvs that I had was 94. While I love 94, this was by far the superior game. The roster is great, the controls are smooth, and for me it has a lot of classic gameplay mixed with some new things as well. That's all for now! I'm about to beat Zelda on nes for the first time so expect that soon!
