  1. For everyone who emailed me about missing those last two auctions, they are up again. Sorry it took so long, but my real job has me in Detroit and Indiana a lot, lately, with little time to surf and sell. http://cgi.ebay.com/Lot-of-6-ATARI-game-ca...3QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/Lot-of-4-ATARI-game-ca...3QQcmdZViewItem Boo! Work! YAY! ATARI weekends!
  2. UPS is VERY tetchy when it comes to shipping rates and package dimensions. I just shipped a large item in a homemade box that the shipping calc quoted $37 for a trip to California. Apparently my creases weren't straight, because the other end measured ONE QUARTER OF AN INCH wider than the other. That quarter-inch raised the price to $130 !!! Needless to say, I cut the box down right there on their counter, muttering the whole time about 'piracy' and 'idiots'
  3. The best finds are the true treasure hunts. Searching through piles of artifacts covered in the dust of ages, to finally find the grail.
  4. Okay, I'll give you that one. When I think about it, I'm pretty sure Pitfall II and those damned condors are what taught me how to effectively express myself in the venue of eloquent profanity. Thank the gaming gods, I got over it.
  5. I agree, with one exception. If the 'new' Atari Jr. comes in the box, there are people who would go completely nuts for it. I've seen auctions for just the empty system box go in excess of $30. You have two types of collectors: Those who actually still play the systems, and those who just collect them to put on the shelf. I know some of the latter who have spent a large amout of money for complete systems without the foggiest notion if they work. Those guys drool over original packaging, like 'Comic Book Guy' from The Simpsons. Myself, I'm with Deteacher on the 1st gen units. I like to play
  6. Don't forget, these auctions are up in a few hours. There's also a Jaguar CD game in the list, as well.
  7. Have you noticed that the ATARI Pac-Man sound effects are the ones used most for generic videogame filler? Most recently in those damned annoying Taco Bell 'good to go' commercials.
  8. Indeed! The 'Activision Anthology' for GBA is a good surrogate when nothing else is available, but you just can't beat a good 'kick back' with several hours' worth of good tunes and total ATARI insanity.
  9. Actually, the titles are just to garner more search hits. The description states ATARI 2600, COMPATIBLE with 7800 No deception present, or intended
  10. It really depends on my mood. H.E.R.O. and either Pitfall! for Activision games. Maze Craze for ATARI
  11. My two out of the list are H.E.R.O. and Star Wars the Arcade game. Although, I wouldn't call it 'hording', as I only have a dupe of each. I really need to check my store stock, though, since I have a box of game carts that I had forgotten about that came in trade for a couple of Wico bats last year.
  12. Of course, in H.E.R.O., all the buggies are always in the same place. You'd think that, after all the times I've roasted them, they would learn.
  13. My favorite was Activision's 'Grand Prix' I made some serious speed records when I got wise to the patterns.
  14. Whew! It's been a while, but we're back in the ATARI business! For some reason, the last few months have been nothing but PlayStation... Oh, well. If you check out the 'video games' section of our Ebay store, we have four game cart lots for the 2600. I should have some more games and systems listed as the weekend carries on. http://stores.ebay.com/Raiders-of-the-Lost-Cart
  15. I just sold three of those carts (NTSC, anyway) a little while ago. In my corner of the Multiverse, it's almost as common as that E.T. firewood. by the way... Anyone want any Combat Carts for target practice? I'll paint a bullseye on them for free!
  16. Got a few ending today. Last chance! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...E%3AIT&rd=1 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...Y_BID_Stores_IT
  17. It runs hot and cold, but is usually slower through the summer months. I had a 7800 system with fewer games go for over $70 little over a month ago. Before that, I had one go for $20. Best times to list are Christmas and Father's day. Winter in general is good because people are indoors and bored
  18. Nothing overly rare, but a few good games bundled together. Last day... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...E%3AIT&rd=1 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...E%3AIT&rd=1
  19. My top five faves, in order: Solaris H.E.R.O. Pitfall! Pitfall II! Gyruss
  20. Zaxxon just pissed me off. Awesome arcade game, but the cart just had me thinking, "wha. . .?"
  21. My fault, entirely. I thought I was in the right place. I'll pay better attention, next time
  22. Just wanted to drop a line. These auctions are ending in a couple of hours. These are nice systems http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...E%3AIT&rd=1 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...E%3AIT&rd=1 Thanks for looking!
  23. Just a line to point out some new listings. A couple of game lots tonight. Tomorrow, I'll be listing some individual carts. Anyone interested in Activision? Keep watching. . . On http://stores.ebay.com/Raiders-of-the-Lost-Cart tonight-->
  24. Here are a couple of systems that you may or may not be interested in. Both are in great condition, and everything has been play tested (of course ) Email if you have any questions! http://stores.ebay.com/Raiders-of-the-Lost-Cart
  25. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...AMESE%3AIT&rd=1 I'm not sure why, but I've been getting an awful lot of these, lately. This is a great system, ready to go. Check out my store at http://stores.ebay.com/Raiders-of-the-Lost-Cart . For those of you, like myself, with ATARI on the brain, keep checking back. I'm going to have at least one Atari Jr. system and a 7800 listed sometime tomorrow, plus some 2600 game packages.
