  1. Well, after some searching, I've not had any luck finding a 7800 power supply. Does anyone have information on the board (i.e. schematics)? I am fully capable of exchanging one connection for the other, but I need to know which pin is positive.
  2. Can anyone tell me the power supply specs for the 7800? I've just aquired a console, sans AC adapter and need to know the voltage and polarity
  3. At any given time, I have at least 50-100 gamecarts in my little hole-in-the-wall trade shop, and you better believe that not everybody took such meticulous care of their systems as we do!! So far, the best thing I've found is a concentrate called 'Orange Blast'. It will remove sticker gunk, dirt, schmutz, crayon, and about anything else safely. You do, however, need to excercise extreme caution on the labels, as they ARE only glossy paper. This stuff and a toothbrush/toothpicks works wonders!!
  4. Here's a pic of the mystery controller. The only markings are the word 'computek' on the underside, and the word 'joystick' (duh) on the top between the buttons. There is also a 'normal-quickfire' switch underneath for rapid-fire.
  5. Ever searching for more and more obscure parts, I have come across a red-and-black joystick with absolutely no markings on it, save the word 'computek'. It is a rather smooth, if not noisy stick, equipped with the same type of spring-loaded contacts as the Quickshot II. It boasts a pistol grip, with thumb and tigger buttons, and two base buttons to accomodate lefties and righties. This stick rocks with Solaris. Any ideas? I'd like to have some more background on this one.
  6. Having been an ATARI junkie for decades, I decided to move into the future and obtain a Jaguar All I have is the console, and am working on obtaining the parts. Does anyone know where I can pick up a scan of a Jag owner's manual
  7. If anyone is interested, I just listed a few new finds on EBay: 1 VADER system with ATARI 'sticks, Pac-Man & Combat: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...e=STRK:MESSE:IT 1 Quickshot II Joystick: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...e=STRK:MESSE:IT Adventure game package including: Raiders of the Lost Ark Jungle Hunt Adventure Riddle of the Sphinx (boxed with instructions and contest card) Pitfall! (boxed with instructions) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...e=STRK:MESSE:IT
  8. Being a WICO gamer, myself, I have the Quickshot listed on EBay. It needed some repair, but is working really well. I played it for several hours with Solaris. It's freakishly responsive! The link for the auction is: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...e=STRK:MESSE:IT Send me an IM yahoo-style if you have any questions!
  9. If anyone has an old 'part-out' sixer, I would be interested in obtaining it. I need the top board (the one with all the switches)
  10. Can anyone tell me about the 'quickshot II' joystick? I ran across one today, and suspect it is a british thing, but it works fine on my NTSC system. It is unusual in that it has mechanical switches, rather than the old dome-style or leaf contacts.
  11. I have one of the Sears heavy-sixers from that magical time, long ago! I just pulled her out of six year's of storage and she's working great! Happy to find out that I'm not alone in my quest to hold on to old tech.
  12. I have just pulled my 2600 out of storage, but have lost the power converter. Can anyone look at their system and tell me the polarity of the jack? I already know the power rating and voltage.
