  1. I'll join in on this one. 142,825 I've experienced a game freeze a few times over the decades playing the Qbert's Qubes cartridge. I never made a note of it to track when it happens but it seems like a rare occurrence. Have a great time with the family, Northcoastgamer!!!
  2. For many years now i've been using plastic sterilite boxes. They keep everything clean and organized (or at least somewhat organized). They're cheap, tough, and stackable (up to the ceiling in my case). Here's a chunk of my collection (OCD to be more exact but it's better in recent years as I sold off a good part of my collection)...
  3. For fun. I'm on a Frogger rampage this week and broke my own Hi-Score.... 29,070
  4. Crue Ball - Genesis Frogger - ColecoVision and 2600 Mr. Robot and his Robot Factory - Commodore 64 (VICE emulator)
  5. That's interesting. I just recently revisited the Retrogaming Times newsletter site (http://www.classicplastic.net/trt/arclegacy/legacyindex.html) for nostalgia purposes. As for Frogger, I think most ports were excellent - meaning just plain fun with adequate graphics and sound effects. It's definately one of my favorite arcade games and ports to home systems.
  6. Playing Genesis on Kega Fusion tonight so i'll join in here... 12,920
  7. 150,420 I used the cart and had no problems. It has froze a couple of times over the years.
  8. Commodore 64 - Who Dares Wins 2 Played this a lot in the early 80's and i'm revisiting it again with a vengeance using VICE 2.4
  9. The simplicity of gameplay; The controllers. I still love the CX-40 joystick and paddle controllers; Nice graphics on many games (Activision, Imagic for starters); Variety of genres - shooting, racing, strategy, sports, adventure, etc.; Solid hardware.
  10. 38,410 I loved this game the first time I played it at my cousin's house (he got the ColecoVision and all of the launch titles when they were released - man was I jealous). I played Apple Panic on my Vic-20 and loved it but this blew it away. Some don't like these types of games but I enjoy them. Love the little musical score upon the competion of each level...
  11. It's a VICE-2.4 (C-64 emulator) playing Dino Eggs, Beach Head, and Archon (playing as the Light side).
  12. I've had problems running CoolCV on my PC's (using both dual-core and quad-core CPU's; using the built-in Intel-graphics chip and NVIDIA graphics card, etc.) the gameplay is a little choppy and the control has some latency. Using ColEm, the control and gameplay seem on par with the original hardware. Seems that CoolCV is the preferred emulator among the community - ColEm just works a little better for me - why? I don't know.
  13. 51,350 I used ColEm for the first time tonight and I love it. It beats CoolCV hands down. Much better control (using Atari CX-40 joystick) and the graphics are better too. I've never been a fan of 8-bit emulators in general but ColEm is the closest thing to the real hardware. Pretty cool.
  14. Up N Down (ColecoVision) Sonic Megamix (Sega Genesis) Android Assault (Sega CD) - A shooter that I can't get enough of lately. Such a great game. I play it on the Sega Genesis (Mega Everdrive) and the Kega Fusion emulator.
  15. Looks great. So many new games coming in all the time.
  16. 35,150 One of the best arcade ports for the ColecoVision. Such a fun game. The arcade game is too hard for me but the ColecoVision version retains the arcade gameplay and graphics plus the skill level options.
  17. 259,425 Great game, especially for the ColecoVision. Back yonder, the C64 version was the most hyped and I had it but never appealed much to me. The ColecoVision port is much more arcade-like.
  18. Yea, it's been 2-3 years since they announced the New Sega Nomad. Looks like a case of vaporware (anyone remember the hyped-up SNES CD-ROM?). Then again, maybe eventually it will happen...
