  1. I forgot about this cart. I almost bought it last year but got distracted from ebay for a while. And with all of the cool ROM's added for the 2600 i'll go for it now.
  2. One of my Sony Trinitron's and the Samsung GXTV
  3. Curious to hear of any bugs that may have gotten through. On a similar note, the Analogue Mega SG seems to be doing pretty well. Haven't heard of any screwups with the system.
  4. In terms of emulators, they've come a long way and agree with others that believe that they definately have their place in the gaming hobby. My first experience with emulators was with MAME in the late 1990's and it was a dream come true to play the literal classic arcade games at home. As time went on, I started using VICE for C64 games & programs and it's much more appealing (and cheaper) than having to invest in a whole new C64 setup (which I have no room for anyway) and I have no desire to deal with the Commodore 1541 disk drive alignment problems on a regular basis ever again. In recent times I use the Fusion emulator (for Sega Master System, Genesis, 32X, and CD games) as well as the SNES9X emulator as often as I use the real hardware. They're A+ emulators and with the save/load states and cheat code options it's a pleasure and convenience to just plug in a USB controller and play within seconds. The Raspberry Pi kits to use as game emulators are popular and interesting (I almost bought one recently) but I have everthing I want in the emulators stated above. Technology is moving so fast and interest in classic gaming is booming so it will be interesting to see what comes up in terms of gaming methods in the near future.
  5. New Hi Score for 2600 HERO Level 14 89,955
  6. Just discovered the Sega Genesis Sonic 1 with Spin Dash hack and I love it.

Sonic Jam on the Saturn rather nicely has the option for a spin-dash in Sonic 1 as well because it's a port rather than emulation, and as far as I can tell they built the Sonic 2 part first and then modified it for Sonic 1.

  7. Shmups, you ask?? M.U.S.H.A. Truxton Lightening Force By the way, there's a guy on ebay doing perfect repro's of Genesis carts and he doesn't use the crappy, thicker, Chinese knockoff boards. https://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_ssn=foreverfroggy1111&_sop=10 (I'm not affiliated with them in any way, shape, or form)
  8. I don't always use Internet Explorer... but when I do, it's to download a different browser.

I don't always use Chrome browser, but when I do it's, oh, like 99.99999999% of the time.  I guess MS Edge wasn't too bad, and they're changing it over to being based on Chromium open source browser.

Pffft! Dinosaur! I stopped using IE as soon as Microsoft dropped it from Windows 10. Been using Edge ever since ... for downloading other browsers. Get with the times.

  9. Sega CD's being dumped on ebay like no tomorrow in anticipation of the Mega SD....

  10. Trouble in Vaporware-land, Castlemania says the 'upcoming' Sega-Retrobit Nomad may not be a 'reality' until Fall 2020.

  11. I play the Sega CD using the Fusion emulator (for those who don't know, the Fusion emulator plays Genesis, Sega CD, and 32X ROM's). For the Sega CD, if you like shooters then Lords of Thunder, Robo Aleste, Keio Flying Squadron, and Android Assault are awesome. Sonic CD is very good and Snatcher is great for those who like to spend time on a futuristic adventure/novel. In terms of sports titles, the Sega CD can't compare to the Genesis. It's got a few good fighting games like Final Fight. Batman Returns is excellent. RPG's like Lunar 1 & 2 and Shining Force are great.
  12. You can download Sega CD ROMS as zip files. Check it out.
  13. Hoping for a Genesis version of the SNES FC 16 Go or Supaboy handhelds that I love using so much.

I'm sure hoping for one too! Retro-Bit is working on a a remake of the Sega Nomad, but who knows if it'll ever actually come to market.

  14. Video Game Critic's review of Philips CD-i console durability: most older cd players are susceptilble to read problems after heavy use, but fortunately, CD-i systems are not prone to heavy use.

  15. I whipped up a little pic of some of my Genny collection....
  16. I'd be thankful to just see Sega/Retrobit's resurrection of the Sega Nomad become a reality. Nintendo, as we know, is a totally different animal.
  17. Looks like the Youtube video converters are no longer functional - it's like freaking hell freezing over.

Thanks, i'll check it out. Was using https://www.onlinevideoconverter.com/youtube-converter and https://www.clipconverter.cc/ - getting virus alerts on both. I'm using Norton 360 anti-virus.

  20. For those who don't know, Sega & Retro-Bit are coming out with controllers for the Genesis and Saturn soon - can't wait Hopefully the new Nomad portable will be coming out soon too. http://retro-bit.com/sega-collaboration
  21. Just restored two OEM CX-40 joysticks to perfect working order...here's a good link https://vintagegamingandmore.com/atari-joystick-repair/.

  22. Congratulations. I had about half of the library (new, sealed in box) but sold them years ago to free up room.
  23. Freaking shame. I never bought from the seller but they always responded to questions quickly. Dictatorships need to be banned from this planet, somehow.....
  24. Great marketing tool, the "Pack-In Game". Sonic - Genesis Mario World - SNES Combat - 2600 Donkey Kong - ColecoVision
