Any good sites on hand held games?

Cool posts. Colecovision is now my prized collection. I envied that system since I was a teenager but it's only the last 5 or so years since i've been collecting and playing the games. I always liked Bump n Jump, Turbo (I use one of my heavy textbooks to weigh down the gas pedal when playing), Venture, Ladybug, Mouse Trap, Galaxian, Squish Em, and Qbert. It seems that many players don't realize that most games can be played with an atari joystick plugged into port 1 with a Super Action Controller or Colecovision controller in port 2. The 2600 module works great with all VCS games and it's inexpensive and easy to find. I love the system and 'll always support it

That was beautiful - I couldn't have phrased it any better - that's why i'm through with e-bomb and, as of now, B&C Computervisions for profiting off shipping. You know, one thing I admire most about my parents generation is that atleast there was a little more honesty and decency - i'm tired of dealing with these greedy morons

I love CV Centipede using the Roller Controller - the large screen display, quick gameplay, and smooth rolling action make it an excellent version to play. I also like the 7800 Centipede using the standard Atari joystick. It's nice to have a choice of some excellent translations of such a great classic.

ColecoVision P.O.P. Display Kiosk Update
chuckwalla replied to doubledown's topic in Classic Console Discussion
You are definately the king of Colecovision. Looking at those pics it makes me wish that they came out with a boxed Turbo as i've managed to acquire a sealed copy of almost all Colecovision games. -
Like every system, I love the Colecovision for it's share of the best and unique classic games. Galaxian, Frogger, Popeye, Centipede (I love the 7800 version equally well), Ladybug, Venture, Burgertime, Miner 2049er (also great with the 5200), etc. I also like the Colecovision because of the broad choice of 3rd party controllers (the SA controllers work well with many games and you can still buy them brand new) so you're never stuck with using the standard Coleco controller for multi-button games (a la Defender, Gateway to Apshai, Wargames, Frontline, Blackjack/Poker, Mouse Trap, etc.). I cherish the stuff as much as my 5200 system which has it's own uniqueness. OK, Basta! Ciao!!!

That's a nice haul if the majority of systems are in good operating condition - sell off chunks of it on ebay over time. Even nicer if you live in this seller's neighborhood; you just rent a dumptruck for a couple of hours and have a spare room ready

He could have atleast thrown in free shipping (insult to injury)

Cherish that setup. You've got many of the best titles available for that system. Adding Galaxian, Jumpman Jr, and Turbo to that setup would pretty much round it out for awesome Coleco action. Best of luck!

New Induction into the eBay Hall of Shame - Conclusion
chuckwalla replied to Mindfield's topic in Auction Central
Anyone who charges $5.50 for shipping 'first class' mail for a single boxed cart is just a greedy bastage - it's just one reason why I don't do ebay anymore. Atleast when I started my Atari 2600/7800/5200/Colecovision collections 4 or 5 years ago when ebay wasn't abused and sellers were very honest I got TONS of incredible bargains. YEE HAWWWW! -
Can anyone suggest a golf game for the Sega Genesis that most closely resembles Leaderboard Golf on the Commodore 64? Thank you.

Does anyone know of a good video card with TV out that displays a high quality picture on the TV when playing emulators? Thanks!

Anyone know anything about the status of the ROF project?

Does anyone know if you can have 2 Stelladaptors plugged into 2 USB ports in order to play double joystick games like Robotron and Space Dungeon using 2-CX40 Atari joysticks on MAME. I believe that I read a while ago that this works but wanted to ask if anyone knows for sure Thanks.

The 5200 is still a great system. I bought a 5200 system a few years ago to pique my curiosity - since I was a kid I always wondered what it was like to play games with those incredibly cool looking controllers that I saw in department store catalogs (and when I was a kid my parents wouldn't spend much money on video game stuff for me - I just got a 2600 with a few games). So when I started playing games on the 5200 a few years ago I saw right away how incredible it must have been 20 or so years ago to play Robotron or Space Dungeon with 2 sticks (in the joystick holder) just like their arcade versions, or Defender with its great graphics, or Rescue on Fractalus which allowed the player to have ALL the controlls/buttons literally at your fingertips. I still love it today. The 5200 has its own set of unique games and playing characteristics as every other classic system does (I also love the Colecovision with its own set of unique games such as Venture, Ladybug, Mouse Trap, and Turbo). For me, the nostalgia alone of collecting all of these systems is well worth the money. Some of the best memories of my youth was spent playing this stuff as we were growing up.

Hi, Will the SIO2PC board allow me to take the disk images of all the Atari 8-bit roms (the .ATR files that I downloaded onto my PC hard drive to play on the Atari 800 emulator) and run them through my Atari XEGS computer to play on the TV? I'm not too tech savvy so I appreciate your input - thanks!!

Has anyone found that using the standard 3 button Sega Genesis controller plugged directly into the Colecovision console (or its Atari 2600 Adaptor) works much better than the Colecovision controller for many games? I also find the Sega controller fire button to be easier on the thumb than using the other controllers? Anyone agree?
