My best friend Chris had an ATARI 1200XL and if it wasn't for "THE FIX XL" he wouldn't be able to play alot of games, although I am not sure if it is needed for the 600XL and/or the 800XL

I just bought an ATARI 800 for $26 and an INDUS GT disk drive for $40 on EBAY and I will be getting them this week, I hope My best friend Chris has 400 games on Disk and I will copy all of them plus all the BASIC games too.

My best friend had ARCHON & ARCHON II on floppyfor the ATARI 800 and I might be able to get him to copy them for you however he has grandparents in their mid 90's and they aren't very good health right now but I will see what I can do. I am not sure if he has any spare floppies but I will ask

This was originally started in the 2600 forum by Sayton who graciously allowed me to put it here. Here's what I mean: Take an Atari game and use its title in a sentence. I know that some games will be hard/impossible to do, but others it should be easy. Try to be as creative as possible. Try not to make it a weird statement if possible. If you want to put more than one game in a sentence, go for it! Try not to use the same games over and over and try not to use the same sentence as anyone else. My best friend sent his ST in for an upgrade it was a 520ST but it came back a 1040ST but with 1 problem whenever he tried playing ANY of the starwars games he would have trouble with the vertical hold, any other game the vertical hold was fine By the way this was about a year after the ST computers came out

I remember using that cartridge slot for PC Ditto and we used it for something that came with a music program if I remember correctly, like Jam Master or Beat Box.

My best friend and i have about 50 floppies with games on both side as well and we put autorun menus on all the floppies and all we do is select the number next to the game we want and it loads. Sometimes we have trouble with games not working too so we end up loading the game from a DOS system and sometimes that don't always work either

Are you using a newer TV ?? How old is the switch box ?? Is the antenna or incoming cable hooked up to the switch box ?? Try switching the channel selector and try the other channel (if you are on 2 then try 3 or visa versa) Maybe the console needs a good cleaning ??

My best friend and I still have our ATARI 1040st computers too and in my opinion the ST's are an introduction to todays PC's and a great learning tool and I was able to learn to use a PC with ease thanks to the ST's.

I had an Atari 800 as my first "Computer" but I didn't give it up but I gave it to my best friend and he still has it and whien I go visit him (he lives in Ohio and I live in P.A.) we still play around with it for hours and hours. I discovered them about 2 years ago and I use Xformer 2000 for windows v.8 and it sure brings back some great memories. We have about 150 basic programs that my best friend and I typed in, a few of which we were going to sell to Atari but they went belly up before we could finish the programs and we put in a few all nighters too

Nice pictures but I have one question though. . . . . I don't mean to be ignorant but what is that computer in the second row center ???
