How Hard Is It To Find 2600 Stuff In Your Area?
LYNXGUY replied to radiodude20's topic in Atari 2600
I currently live in a small town in P.A. and I can't find diddley but I am originally from Cleveland Ohio and you can go into any thrift store and find Atari 2600 stuff all the time. -
I had that problem with my 2600 and I bought a new switch box and it didn't work so I bought another new switch box and that worked and I got both of them from Radio Shack, weird huh ?? You might have a faulty channel switch or a short in the wire going to the switch box or maybe not, just a few ideas that's all.

YES, YES, YES Home Run and Footbal and Basketball were the worst.

My best friend had the same problem and it turned out to be the power supply. I hope this helps

Anyone with a load of 800 disk menu games?
LYNXGUY replied to Clint Thompson's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
My best friend and I had a menu creator system by Walt Load (or Lord)and all you had to do is use a joy stick or keyboard to choose what game you want to load. We had a few different menu systems but I can't remember the names right now. One system had numbers next to the game and all you had to to was press the number corrisponding to the game. If Pac-Man was Number 3 then we pressed #3 on the keyboard. If this is what you are looking for I will be visiting him in 2 weeks and I will copy them for you. -
I remember preppie 1 and 2 and if I recall I did pretty well on those games too.

I have 2 ATARI fonts on my PC and I could email them to you, if you want you can send me a PM with your email addy.
-
The ones I remember and used are. . . . . DOS XL DOS 2 DOS 2.5 DOS 3 RANA SMART DOS
-
My buddy and I were given a bunch of diskettes with games & programs on them that were in DOS 3 format. I don't like DOS 3 and any DOS is better than DOS 3
-
Are you making fonts on the Atari computer or do you want an Atari font for your PC ??
-
I remember that and if I am not mistaken my buddy still has that on a floppy.
-
I like DOS 2.5 because it can read DOS 3.0 format as well as DOS 2.0 and DOS XL. I also like Rana Smart DOS because you can easily go from single density to double density and also format in either density.
-
Looking for the .ATR file for States & Capitals and any help would be appreciated.
-
I will email my buddy and I am sure he will do it because it will only take a few minutes to do. I will let you know when I am ready to send it to you and then you can send me a PM with your addy.

How i can test an ST mouse with an Atari 800XL?
LYNXGUY replied to Zybex's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Hey miker why so mad I only typed what I believe is true and I am not and I don't claim to be an Atari know it all I just don't know everything Atari, I know alot but not everything thanks for the info anyway, I always learn something new whenever I log onto this site. There are probably hundreds of games for the 8bit that I am not aware of It'is a surprise to me that there is an 8 bit game that uses a mouse Where would one buy a mouse when Shanghai or Operation Blood came out ?? I wasn't aware that atari made a mouse until I bought an ST. When was the 8 bit mouse made public, I never seen it anywhere
