How can I connect my 800XL to my TV's DVD input (Y Pr Pb)
LYNXGUY replied to Zybex's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
I have just 1 question. . . . Why would you want to connect your Atari 800XL to your TV's DVD input (Y Pr Pb) ?? -
Just a thought but make sure you are in the right density for the blank disks you are using, there are single density disks and double density disks.

New location for the Thursday and Sunday Atari chat...
LYNXGUY replied to doctorclu's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
I didn't know you had a atari chat, this is way to cool. I have just 3 questions . . . . 1. Is it Atari chat only or can we chat about anything (within reason of course )?? 2. What is Telnet ?? 3. The Thursday night chat at the Atarinews.org chat room ,Thursday 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm CST, is the Sunday morning chat at the same site ?? -
I didn't know that Arkanoid was on the 8bit but my best friend has it on the ST and it is awesome

How i can test an ST mouse with an Atari 800XL?
LYNXGUY replied to Zybex's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Sorry but the Atari 8 bits are not compatible with the ST computers and Atari 8 bits do not use a mouse at least not that I know of. -
They only way that you can turn off the key click (which is annoying after a while) is to install a toggle switch on one of the speaker wires, I did this to mine and it was very easy to do. My best friends cousin drilled a hole and he installed a push button switch to turn the key click off and on.

Does your 400 have the original keyboard ?? My best friend had a Atari 400 with the original keyboard (or should I say keypad?) and it went bad so he replaced the the old keyboard(pad) with a new standard keyboard and it works fine.

Funny thing about upgrading a 520 to a 1040
LYNXGUY replied to LYNXGUY's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
I can't find a way to edit my last post so I will add this to it.. When my buddy and I bought our 520ST computers this was about a year after they came out. -
My buddy and I got Atari 520 st computers at the same time and after about a year he decided to upgrade his to a 1040. After the upgrade we had trouble playing some games because the horizontal hold would act up, always with the starwars games and some others, but some games it would be just fine. Does anyone know whats going on

Which way, 2600 to 8-bit or 8-bit to 2600?
LYNXGUY replied to Great Hierophant's topic in Atari 2600
I agree with atari_wizard, I believe the 2600 was first then the 5200 then the 7800 then the 8bit 400 then 800 then 1200XL however I am not sure when the 600XL & 800XL came out, then 520 ST then 1040 ST. If I am missing anything please let me know -
Well it's been almost a week and no response yet I'll keep everyone posted when or if I get a response
