I am familiar with all but 1 of these names and I haven't used any of them, can you post a small program with each language so we can see what it looks like ?? I only programmed with BASIC and I did tons of stuff with it however my bet friend CHRIS dabbled in either Fortran or Cobal (not sure of the spelling).
-
Which one ?? The one on the left or right ???
-

I would love to have an Atari laptop like the one pictured in this thread and how much would one of those run ?? I would love to get another Indus GT floppy drive. -
That's a big time collection all right and all i have is 2 Atari 800's which 1 works for a short time then quits and the other seems like it is dead, I also have a mint 800XL which I use and 1 Atari 810 floppy drive and 1 Indus GT floppy drive which I use. 6 Joysticks, 1 set paddle controllers tons of floppies full of stuff , plenty of blank floppies and 16 cartridges

The one on the left says "COMPUTING LANGUAGE" The one on the right says "COMPUTER PROGRAM" My guess would be that the one on the right was an earlier version as there is no color to the label. The 2 I have look exactly like the one on the left and both say "COMPUTER LANGUAGE"

LOL so did I but I will try like hell to be there next week

I am wondering if an actual Atari 800 Power supply (PSU) would solve spudmanno5 's problem ?? I can send him an extra one that i have but I have to find out what the shipping would be.
-
I was hoping to snag a floppy drive from you but I didn't see one listed or did I miss something ??
-
Well this doesn't seem right to me and you need an ATARI PSU for Atari computers Well after you receive the new tape player try it and if everything is fine then we won't worry about the PSU but if the same thing happens then I will send you a PSU.
-
Well there you go it looks to me as the cassette player is the culprit
-
That could be the trouble and maybe you can try playing a cartridge game of a game from a floppy disk without the tape player hooked up and if all is good the the recorder is the problem or if you still have problems you can rule out the recorder as the problem ??
-
OK I did in fact find an extra/duplicate power supply and the specifics are as follows....... Part # C017945 INPUT: 120V 60Hz 50W OUTPUT: 9V AC 31 VA If anyone cane tell me if this is what an 800 needs then I will send you the extra one,

2) the power LED on the Atari 800 system itself seems to dim slightly (for a second) when i use the tape player (play, rewind, etc) I am thinking that the power supply has less watts/volts than the ATARI needs and there is not enough to power the 800 and the tape deck and play used more power than FWD or REW does I believe. You can get an 800 power supply on EBAY for about $9.99 and sometimes less if nobody outbids you, Hmmmm I just thought of something I might have an extra power supply but I have to look for it but if I do I will let you know.
-
I couldn't agree more as my best friend and i got an 800 from a Goodwill store and it cam with a ATARI power supply but all we saw was a B&W screen and we then new right away it was the power supply so he went online ordered a new one and it has been fine since. We think it might have been an Atari floppy drive power supply.

Need help with picture That goes next to post.
LYNXGUY replied to Sean39's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
You can always try EBAY for a Floppy drive and I am sure there are other auction sites out there and maybe even a thrift store and you and your daughter can take a day and visit as many thrift stores around you as you can and maybe yard or garage sales ?? -

What's the latest Atari related thing(s) you've bought on ebay?
LYNXGUY replied to Ross PK's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
I got a dead Atari 800 and the seller agreed to give me my money back as he didn't mention in his auction if the unit worked or not. -
I have a few BONUS floppies that still work and I recently got 140+ floppies from EBAY and I came across some new brand names I never heard of before. Control Data Quill Hoffman Pulse 1 Datalife Plus which I do recall and I even have a TANDY floppy too
