Hi endrien, Would say around $30 but depends if it's in great condition (system and box). There a 2 or 3 Ebay sellers that are asking freaking crazy prices for pong systems. About 70% of all pong systems released worldwide has a AY-3-8500 chip inside them and the Telstar you're asking has one in it. Hi again! I known Ianoid for more than a decade now and we recently made some great trades! I just checked your Odyssey collection and i must say it's fantastic! Be very proud of your collection. (i'm drooling here...) You can add a 6th blue card since i have one with both manuals of the games but the one i have doesn't have holes in it. Got it with a Odyssey in the briefcase plus with the rifle gun found near the capital in the province of Quebec by a friend in 1999. Still have everything since then and i just tested it last month (was wayyy deep in storage). I've asked you if you knew Inaoid becase i was wondering if it was you who sent a scan to Ianoid of the video output schematic done by M.Baer himself for the Odyssey 1. If it is you, then i thanking you directly since i asked Ianoid to thank the person who sent the video output scan. Also, are you going to get a Telematch de Panoramic J-5 ? It's the Brazilian clone of the Odyssey 1 but it doesn't take "jumper" carts, you select 5 games (hence the J-5 for Jogos-5) by push buttons and it has a unique game of Soccer with 2 walls with goals (holes). There's some from time to time that pops-up on Mercado Brazil for less than $100 and costs about $30 to ship by EMS. Got one from a friend in Uruguay and took only 9 days to get it. I don't really collect all systems, games and accessories. Just got another Odyssey from Ianoid so that i can modify it with an video output and i also have about 10 others mods i have in mind like putting sound(s), built-in overlays (no more sticking the overlays!), etc...when i've finished with the Odyssey, it will become a Super Mega Odyssey...LOL!!! Hi Sean, Sorry for the late reply, been quite busy these past weeks. I can't explain it myself to why you have a 3659-3 chip that has an earlier production than the 3659-1. I could only speculate that when Atari were making the order for Sears, they were afraid to get "short" in their 3659 chips orders from the companies that were making them for Atari (AMI, MOS Technology, Synertek and surely others companies) to complete the 150,000 units for the Xmas 1975 season. Because usually when you have a "-" dash after the part number, it's for a revision. So there's 4 known revisions (to date): 3659-1B, 3659-1C, 3659-2 and 3659-3. Here's a list of revisions and dates i have for now: * 3659-1B / 7540 * 3659-1B / 7542 * 3659-1B / 7543 * 3659-1B / 7545 * 3659-1C / 7551 * 3659-2 / 7538 * 3659-2 / 7540 * 3659-2 / 7547 * 3659-2 / 7552 * 3659-3 / 7537 * 3659-3 / 7550 * 3659-3 / A760 (yup, A760 = 1st week 1976) But to really have an answer to this mystery, i suggest that you contact the GURU of Atari History, namely Curt Vendel! He has a humongous database of everything Atari. He greatly helped me out with the Atari Game Brain C-700 and the Atari Stunt Cycle. If Curt doesn't have this info, maybe David Winter but David has more infos about the Magnavox Odyssey (he even has original blueprints of the Odyssey) and for Adrian Scheel (of Pong-Picture-Page, he has the BIGGEST collection of dedicated Pongs i know, near 850!!), he could answer some specific infos on any Pongs he has but he collects Pongs by their design, not the electronic or chip stuffs. So you have a very early production, the earliest one i know for now (7537). Contact Curt, he surely have some papers about this in his Atari "Ali Baba Cavern". --- Sly DC ---

Hi Folks, Jr. (of Colecovision Zone) was one of these ADAm proto module and came to my house 2 hours ago with the ADAM proto #6 which the pictures you see in the first post by retroillucid. First, Jr. discussed this at the last CCJVQ meeting with me and Newcoleco and Newcoleco said that he thinks that is a Tape Simulator. Well, Newcoleco huch was right! It is a Tape Simultor module. The RS-232 connector is for transfering Super Games in it and to test them on a ordinary Colecovision. The ADAMlink connector is to connect a keyboard so you can play any Super Games. There is an Eprom with the sticker "TapeSim" on it, which i deduct that is a modified BIOS or not-modified BIOS of the ADAM. But before i can dump the content of the EPROM, i need some informations that are not found on the net. The EPROM is a Motorola SC88091L / CD48337 and the VPP = 22-24Volts. If anyone has infos on the SC88091L, please let me know so i can dump properly the content of the EPROM. For now, these are all speculations until we're able to dump the EPROM, just hoping that nothing is erased in it. Thanks in adavanced for any informations!

Hi Sean, About the serial, that i can't answer since i don't make records of any serials of Dedicated Pongs. But as for the dedicated chip you took in a picture, that one is the second version (-2). There is 3 models of the "3659" that i know: "3659-1 or 3659-1B or 3659-1C" (1st version), "3659-2" (second version) and "3659-3" (3rd version found only in the Sears Tele-Games Pong IV model 99717. Some are made by Synertek or AMI and can be in plastic or ceramic casings. All version of dedicated chips are the same, even the 3659-3 which people thinks it's a 4-player version of the 3659-1 and 3659-2 which is not true, all 3659 version can either be a 2 or 4 players version (this info is not written anywhere, just found it by myself). The earliest "3659" i know (so far) is dated 7538 (1975 - 38th week). Hope this helps you out. --- Sly DC ---

Humm...i say the Ms.Pac-Man you have there is NOT for the Colecovision but for the Atari 2600. For those who doesn't know, the Ms.Pac-Man cartridge board has 12 pins on one side, which makes a total of 24-pins. It is exactly the numbers of pins of the Atari 2600 cartridge slot. As for the Colecovision, it has 15 pins on one side and has 30-pins in total (both side counted for). One day, i found an Atari 2600 cartridge lot on a nearby flea market, and one of those carts was Donkey Kong Junior which i thought it was heavier than the other. So since it peaked my curiosity, i opened it and saw exacty what your Ms.Pac-Man has inside (x4 TTLs and x1 Eprom - except that your Ms.Pac-Man has a dip socket). But the DKJr. isn't a prototype, it had the released label on it like any others. So what i did with it was i pulled-off the eprom, solder a zif socket and made myself a dev cart with it. I know that some companies were shorts on proms (back then) so they opted for eproms which costed more than regular proms but they didn't wanted te stores to get short on stock. I even found Colecovision carts with eproms on them BUT they didn't have any dip socket on them, the eproms were solder directly on the board. Those i gave to Daniel Bienvenu since he love so much the Colecovision. Ok 'Nuff said on technical babble...LOL!!!

What is strange is that i've never stumbled on one here in the province of Quebec but seen this unit in the collections of other Canadian fellows. I've received my "E-Time Game Play" (Genesis) last Monday and tested out this little bugger. 1st, it's play NTSC Sega Genesis roms and can play Japanese or European roms "IF" there are hacked, meaning the territory "J-U-E" (Japan-USA-Europe) has been changed in the header of the rom. Here's a list of Non-US roms i was able to play with: * The Smurfs (hack) * The Smurfs 2: Around the World (hack) * Bare Knuckle 3 (hack USA territory) * Asterix and the Power of the Gods (hack) * Donkey Kong 99 (Chinese rom hack) * Berzerk by Paul Lee (PD rom) * Duke Nukem 3D (hack) * Gauntlet Arcade Version (Jap rom) * Soleil (french version - NTSC hack) (aka Crusader of Centy) * Super Mario World (Unlicensed) I really suggest playing with Berzerk, it's a Public Domain rom and it's awesome. Even has the voices in the game, great port of the arcade! And for the topic of hacking this thing with a cartridge slot, i wouldn't bother. Just an example, the infamous Atari 2600 portable that still waiting to be commercialise has a SD Card slot, and the E-Time Game Play has one too. What i will do with my E-Time Game Play is make it really portable, meaning i will hook it to a 2.5 inches TFT monitor and put all the hardware into a small casing (like the Atari 2600 portable). I don't like the intro of the unit but the music is pretty neat. Oh also, every roms has to be "padded" to a right size or it won't work. So have fun (i do!) =) --- Sly DC ---

If you check the dedicated chip, you read: ATARI 7542AA 3659-1B C2524 Korea The "7542AA" means: 1975 44th Week (around October 15th). The 3659-1B is the model of the chip and that's where i made my mistake, i was reading "3" instead of "B" (that what's happened when you"re missing sleep, could kick myself in the butt if i could...LOL!). --- Sly DC ---

Hi there, What you have there is the Sears Tele-Games Super Pong (same as Atari Super Pong) just by looking at the screenshot and especially the dedicated game chip. Oh and thanks very much for the picture of the board, greatly appreciate it! And i agree with the others, it's not rare at all. There's always 2 or 3 that are listed on Ebay (some have prices way to high). But it will be rare around the year 2030... LOL!!! Oh BTW...to anyone who has a Atari Ultra Pong (or Atari Ultra Pong Doubles), can anyone open-up their system and take a good picture of the dedicated game chip ?
