The year's genuine but not the date. Internet safety rules. I wanted to show just my year (cause I'm one who didn't grow up with an Atari console) but the forums won't allow it.

I grew up without an Atari, too. But my cousins got one for Christmas 1980. Then we got a Coleco Vision in '83 and a Mattel Aquarius in '84. Good times!

I'm born outside of the Western world and in the 90s but the games I grew up playing were Atari and NES games cause these were the games I happened to stumble across online.
