    Can you mute the speakers while the old computers were loading the cassette tapes so you don't hear the screeching?

      The TI makes it's own sounds on the TV as well. Actually, one of the Adventure tapes I have is almost a dance tune. :)

      The screeching was vital - otherwise you wouldn't know if your tape load crapped out halfway through.
