  1. IMO, Pacar doesn't belong because you can go any direction. If you allow that, then you have to allow a bunch of others (Thief, Crush Roller, etc).
  2. Possibly the mod wiring is not shielded, grounded, or filtered completely. The homebrew carts and especially the Harmony are noisier and can cause this.
  3. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/155680-harmony-cart-interference/page-1?hl=%202600%20%20interference%20%20harmony
  4. I've seen this also on some mods. It's something to do with the cart board or some signal feeding back into the system, but no idea what, and the mod is not grounded or filtered properly. There is a long thread here somewhere where someone went through a bunch of testing with shielding, etc. to try to find it.
  5. That cart says 400/800, so it's odd that it won't plug in. It's from 82- there were no other Atari computers in 82.
  6. I know that ST IPF's exist, so I assume SPS is doing some of this to some extent.
  7. You guys don't understand "cult of personality". I've seen it many times, it defies logic and explanation, but it's real.
  8. Oh my gosh how did you stand 30 minutes of that music straight?

    Vectrex issues

You can carefully start by doing a full cap replacement and go from there. Be careful though as the boards are really cheap and are easy to damage when soldering.
  10. No conversion other than mechanical- signal is 75ohm to 75ohm
  11. First, the 2600 doesn't have the strength to drive the NES switchbox correctly- use either a straight coax connection, or a vintage-type switch box and see if it improves. If not, then the Gemini is made from mostly custom parts. You'd probably want to get it AV modded...
  12. You'll just have to trace it backwards in the circuit with a scope until you see audio. Without a scope and only "shotgun" approach you are limited to just guessing. I would probably start with the volume pot first, then the audio chip.
  13. Schematics are on that page...
  14. Looks like you have to add a board with that chip... https://sites.google.com/site/thezippsterzone/home/coco2-projects/coco-2-composite-board-1
  15. It was the same with the CompUSA, Circuit City, and HH Gregg "liquidations". There are no deals to be had- they'd rather sell to a Tiger Direct or whomever to resell it. The creditors won't allow a real liquidation.
  16. Yeah, that is probably not right. Not sure how old the BASIC game is, but it's just text.
  17. If this is something you bought supposedly tested working on eBay, DO NOT OPEN it. If you can't get it to work, just return it and try another. As a seller and a buyer, just don't tinker with it. If someone claimed something I sold didn't work and took it apart, I would assume they didn't know what they were doing and broke it. No offense to you personally. Unless you bought it under the "broken for parts only" section, in which case you should have assumed that, and you can't return it.
  18. If he doesn't, I have another board that will do it. You remove all the ROMs and it fits in the rightmost socket and a jumper to the chip right next to it. You can add a EPROM or EEPROM and switch between Integer and AppleSoft (or whatever you want). It's very simple, not a card, just a small adapter board.
  19. Did you e-mail Mike Willegal? I think he had some more Brainboards made last year and were still in stock...
  20. Nintendo no longer competes with Sony and Microsoft, they really never did. If you are comparing them, then that is dumb because it is a different product for a different market. Nintendo makes machines that run Nintendo software. If you like Nintendo games, you buy one, and that's how you play them. It is completely unrelated to owning a Playstation or XBOX.
  21. OK, I will try again tonight. I'm sure someone will find it before then...
  22. I tried moving after completing the level and I can't do it... I wonder if it's an emulator bug in the system they are using?
  23. Crap, they are only worth $5-10 bucks around here at the flea market.
  24. I assume it stands for "Legacy" but I don't know for sure. I think it's just 6.0.8 for machines that require an Enabler.
