  1. Hi guys,

I have some toys from years past that I don't play with anymore, and it's time for cleanup!

    Game Doctor SF7 - 32M SFC/SNES Game Copier - Best offer over $50

Tototek MD Flash Cart - 32M with parallel port programmer - Best offer over $50

Both work perfectly. Let me know if you're interested and I don't charge anything more for shipping than USPS charges. The MD Flash will go in a flat rate for $5, I know. The SF7 maybe the next box up or maybe better by weight.

I know there's newer and better stuff out there for both, but the value doesn't go to $0.

  2. Hi guys,

I bought this last Christmas and played around with it a bit, but never really used it much. I have the cart itself (flashed with latest firmware as of a month or so ago), a powered IDE->CF converter, and a 128M CF. This combination is stand-alone (power is supplied by Atari) and works fine, but I find that I just use the regular old SIO to RS232 cable for the occasional gaming sessions.

Does anyone want a whole setup for $50 shipped in the continental US?

  3. I have a regular top-loading CD unit here on the bench. It won't load games, but I don't have any originals, just burned CDR. I know I've had one of these in the past that loaded CDR, but maybe I am misremembering, so this one may or may not have a bad laser. It loads single-load games from CDR sometimes, but only with a good bit of fiddling. I may just not have the kind of CDR media that it likes.

I have a couple extra "new" import lasers for it, but they are a pain to swap. Do you want a fix-er-upper for about 1/2 what they go for from Japan? :)

  4. Pretty excited about this church sale find yesterday. Got a box of about 125 Commodore PET educational cassettes. Not too exciting? Maybe. But these were all the programs I used when I was in elementary school on the school's PET computers, so they were my very first real intro to computers. There's cassettes here from companies such as MECC, Tycom, Microphys, Micro-Ed, and more. Slots, Trail West (like Oregon Trail), that fishing game that I can't remember the name of offhand, Sitting Ducks, plus all the usual Math, Vocab, Reading, Geography, etc. The Geography one spans at least 8 tapes. To me, this is big. I haven't found most of this stuff on the internet.

I don't have a PET, but I've been loading them up on the C64, and have only found one so far that won't load. Of the ones that will, most of them run fine on the C64 superficially at least, and either way, at least I can get them archived to the SD card.

The best part is that most of them have the instruction inserts and all. I bought them directly from the church school that used them 30 years ago, as they all have that name written on them, and they took good care of them. This is great! I wish I had a PET... but I have a PET emulator for now!

Also bought a bunch of Apple ][ books and in the disk holder is a bunch of MECC Apple ][ educational disks. I have seen quite a few of these on the internet, so probably most of those are already archived anyway, and I can't archive Apple disks anyway.

The church sale did have a bunch of Apple ][ educational cassettes, but I left them due to overall condition and lack of interesting titles (mostly fractions etc). If someone was extremely interested in something like that, I could call them up and see if they still have them even though the sale is now over. I just wasn't interested in paying much for them.

I tried to PM you, but your mailbox is full. That is a neat and rare find these days. If you need help preserving these let me know. I can transfer to TAP files directly.

  5. The VIC-II has a different reference voltage pin (13) requirement also- it's 12V on the old and 9V on the new. Putting an newer chip in the older board could damage it over time. I'm not sure if the opposite is true- it may cause problems long term pulling more current from the 9V line.

  6. Ultima I was not originally released on the C64, since the 64 didn't exist until late 1982. This is a re-release from (I believe) 1986. I also don't recall ever seeing those cardboard boxes shrink-wrapped, but I am not a "sealed" collector. I think those boxes were just sealed with stickers on the side(s) at retail.

And of course Tempest is right- the store demos are the same as retail, almost always. A few companies released demos- I've archived several non-interactive demos from Activision, EA, and MicroProse. Every Epyx dealer demo I have is the complete game, typically the earliest version. Some of the disks say "FOR DEMO ONLY - NOT A COMPLETE GAME" or "PROTOTYPE" on the disk, but they usually match early released versions of the game.

  7. Hi just to let anyone that is interested know that I have put the two prototypes carts that i enquired about on this form months ago on ebay as i need the money post christmas and 4 kids!!! there is also a nice almost mint copy of harmegedon listed, cheers

    Where?

  8. I am cleaning out my workshop and have a number of items I no longer want. Please make any reasonable offer

(and some of this stuff a reasonable offer is like a beer or something) and come and get them. I prefer pickup

in Augusta, Georgia (about halfway between Columbia, SC and Atlanta, GA) as they are all heavy.

    Neo-Geo Arcade Cabinet

Gutted, no monitor, but includes all buttons and joysticks, a 2-slot motherboard and a universal power supply.

No game carts, and I don't know if the motherboard or power supply works.

I live on a hill, so bring a strong friend or two and a truck.

    Nintendo-style Phoenix Cocktail Arcade Cabinet

This has a 13" monitor and a Phoenix game board. It worked years ago, I don't think it does anymore.

    All the hardware is there.

    Arcade Boards

This is a plastic bin full of old arcade boards. Some work, some used to work, and some never did.

You gamble or I will split them up. :)

    Pac-Man Plus

    Mortal Kombat

    Punch-Out

    Galaga

    Kung-Fu Master

    Nintendo Vs.

    Route 16

    Phoenix

    Others I can't identify. :)

    ColecoVision Adam Expansion Module

This is the version that needs the ColecoVision, but I don't have a spare CV for it. I has the printer and a tape

or two, it powers on but just gets a black screen.

    Coleco Adam Standalone System

Comes with printer and a tape or two, it works fine with carts, and loads tapes "sometimes". I don't know

if the tape drive needs service or it's something more.

    X-Arcade Dual Joystick

    Works fine, hardly used

    X-Arcade Tankstick with TrakBall

Never used, still in the box.

    X-Arcade Dual Joystick

Complete housing/case only, no electronics, joysticks, or buttons. Nice project.

  9. I've tried to piece together time periods for childhood memories, too. It's tough and your memory plays tricks on you. :)

There is a lab loaner of Ms. Pac-Man as late as 9/20/83, if that means anything. I think 1982 is wrong, probably.

Also, the catalog says expected delivery was February, 1983. For sure it was probably released a little later than that.
