  1. Basketball 4 = 38 - 34 I had an 8 point lead (almost 10!), but blew it! Also, trying to imagine playing against a spazzy person like this in real life basketball. Ice Hockey 18 = 20 - 2 I got a ferocious defense, man! Think I may sneak this game into a mini-tourney next time I have friends over to play games.
  2. I have procrastinated long enough for this block of games! Scores Pac-Man 4K: 13040 (bet I can do better!) Seaweed Assault: 3290 Dragon's Descent: 5345 Commentary Pac-Man 4K: Pretty cool! I agree with other comments that say the ghost AI feels a bit different, but it's fun to imagine if that was the version that came out originally vs what actually did come out on how that may have affected the industry. Seaweed Assault: After reading about getting more points by destroying multiple pieces of seaweed with one shot, it made it much better for me. Yes, one mistake and you're done at the later part of the game! Dragon's Descent: I went bold and took gems at every opportunity! I think I made it to the 5th or 6th (7th?) maze before I finally ate it. I made sure to find a gem on each level before attempting to find the exit. I only shot at monsters if I had to do so. I like the game's concept!
  3. Just to echo everyone else, thanks for running this, Grig! I had fun with this (my first year). I enjoyed hunting the items and seeing what everyone else got, as well. I hope to participate in this again next time around!
  4. Well, shoot, not sure what the problem is that I'm having. I don't own either of these on cart, and when trying to fire them up in ProSystem Emulator (v. 1.3), Santa just loops the Atari splash screen and Water Ski is just a black screen. Not sure if there's anything I can do about it with what little time is left.
  5. If it's not Ticonderoga, then it's crap!
  6. I appreciate you resurrecting and running the HSC! I'm not sure if I like mixing originals and homebrews together (original, homebrew, original, homebrew, etc) or separating them into separate seasons better. I'm cool either way and will likely participate in any approach.
  7. @Vocelli - just like this time last year, I appreciate the extra time given to play these since most peoples' schedule is probably sporadic with traveling for the holidays. Thank you!
  8. LEGO kits! That's a cool idea! Well done, Santa!
  9. That seems reasonable! I will follow! Uh oh, whoops! The button was pressed and I opened all of it! So, it was pretty obvious immediately who my secret santa was, since it was signed. Big thanks to Grig for being WAY too generous on this one! It's honestly more than I'll probably get from my actual family. ? Let me take you through the journey! So, this card deserves its own post, honestly! I cracked up at all the pasted on faces and was really what sent this whole package over the top! So, my immediate guess was some sort of Bob Ross related item, but little did I know that "happy accidents" had more than one meaning... ?, uh, thanks! Then for the rest of it... Holy smokes! WAY too much! WAY too generous! Managed to hit on my range of Atari to Switch and PS4 for my collecting (none of the games here I actually own, so new to me and the Pokemon was a huge surprise!), got some delicious chips (my general weakness and most of it is gone already), Take 5 candy, the trivia game will sit in my game room and be a fun "bonus" for guests to read while we're in there, and I will definitely be wearing the Blues Brothers shirt! Thanks again, Grig! Way too generous!
  10. I couldn't resist phase one of opening the box, but did stop... for now. I bet I'll give in tomorrow. Also, I can say to my secret santa that this is too much!
  11. Let's get some scores up! Biathlon - 3:16 Speed Skating - 0:29.0 Ski Jump - 195.7 Bobsled - 28.64
  12. I've been down most of the week with a stomach flu and a cold to complicate it. However, secret santa has arrived at the right time to help my spirits! Now, how long can I wait/resist? ?
  13. Probably the best game of this I've ever played! 1,147,400!
  14. R2-D2 Starfighter Simulator 2019 (part of other Simulator series of games? Farming, Automotive, etc) You're R2-D2 and the pilot of your starfighter is always getting into trouble! You must deal with all of the real time problems to keep the ship running for you and the pilot to survive! Fix broken systems, put out fires, send electricity via your probes all at the same time! Will you save the day once again?
  15. Ate my side dishes before going for the main meal! Jinks: 1875 (sort of gave up after getting bored, then found some teeth that makes you lose a life!) Karateka: I defeated the 4th guy before getting whipped by the 5th guy (there's no score that I could find, so that's what I'm reporting!) Mat Mania Challenge: 100150. I quit after 5 matches. Pinned him in the first, ran out of time the next 2, then pinned him in the last 2 before I called it quits Touchdown Football: 6-6 tie. I managed to get a punt return for a touchdown in the first quarter. Had no idea how to kick the extra point. Most of my offense consisted of throwing interceptions. 2nd half, I couldn't stop the computer from completing passes. They managed to miss 3 field goals and the extra point after their 4th quarter touchdown. I miss Tecmo Super Bowl. :(
  16. Food Fight is probably my favorite 7800 game! I like this idea of pick four. Well done!
  17. Sky Diver: 89 (landed everything, but obviously not at the most optimal spot) SpitFire Attack: 27180 Bermuda Triangle: 11650 (first attempt was best attempt) Thunderground: 56080 (11)
  18. I'm more in the boat of "just go for it!". More time to enjoy the new things! Also, how can you resist the urge to not press the beautiful, shiny button!? The jolly, candy-like button!?
  19. Sky Diver. If I was into making "Top X" lists, the splat sound would probably be in my top 5 for video game sound effects. :)
  20. Commando (Advanced): 18100 (advanced mode is nasty!) Choplifter: 63 (damn you, tank! Probably will let it go unless someone else gets 64 ) Commando, you have to be VERY fast to take a screenshot or a photo. If you miss it (like I did several times), just let the game sit there and it will eventually start a demo mode where you can see your score in the "HIGH" section in the middle. Choplifter was also tricky on a photo since your score flashes a lot while it's doing the game over tune. If you wait too long, it'll go back to the title screen and there's no way (that I know of) to see your score again.
  21. Centipede: 83842 It's funny with this game, no matter what version... I stink at it a lot (was about to quit with my best ~45000), then I always get that last run in that goes way better.
