  1.

That is something we are really considering. At least C with libraries. And of course we want 3rd party support. Prometheus is a beast graphic and sound wise.

BTW, what kind of games or specific titles would you guys like to see? We want 3 or 4 games available day 1.

Bearing in mind your 87/88 update timeframe and Coleco's specialty at bringing home Arcade classics, my wish list would be:

    Commando (1985)

    Rolling Thunder (1986)

    Double Dragon (1987)

    Pac-Mania (1987)

    1943 Battle of Midway (1987)

  2. I don't have any proof, but judging from the FIRE-READY-AIM! way this thing was announced, I kinda doubt RWB thought this through. Otherwise, why would they consent to this backwards logic? Case first, then marketing team, then announcement, then hardware development???

I wonder how much they spent on that ugly Coleco brochure at Toy Fair 2016?

Aarrghghgh! They're still using that image at http://colecotoys.com!!

Well, you're talking about the same company that releases products with their own logo split in half at the wrong spot to read "ECO" ... "COL" at the bottom of their packaging. At least I hope it was not broken that way intentionally. And, no, the name doesn't wrap around to and from the back of the package:

  3.

When I posted my original remark, no. There wasn't. At least not any that were in stock. I bought the SGM to play games like DK, Gradius, etc.

Again, WHEN I posted originally, these games were NOT in stock. I've checked a few times in the past and I seem to always miss when they are available.

I haven't looked in a couple weeks or more because I've lost interest. I may regain interest sometime soon.

    Does that answer your question?

I was just curious seeing how many games there are out there. I've purchased and played quite a few myself. Even the ones that are listed as Back Order have shipped relatively quickly after placing the order in my experience. It's when they are permanently sold out is a real bummer.

  4.

I actually feel the same way. I pre-ordered the SGM back in May 2016 (3rd run). It didn't arrive until December 2016. Almost 8 months. So I finally get my SGM and I don't think two weeks go by and I see this Pro version.

I don't even have any SGM games yet. The $100 SGM is a beautiful box sitting on my shelf until I can save up $60+ for one game to use with it. But, that's not even true really because I don't see any SGM games for sale. At least not the ones I want to play. Where is DK? Gradius? Even if I had $60 to spend on a SGM game I wouldn't be able to actually buy it. They're not available.

Now, don't get me wrong. I realize this is a hobby market and I should be grateful new hardware and software is coming (which I am). But I would be lying if I said I wasn't at least a little disheartened in that it took SO long to get it and now it's already old news.

If I'm being honest here, it's almost enough to make me not interested in new stuff for CV any more.

I'm not sorry I bought the SGM. It's beautiful. Maybe one day, I will actually be able to use it.

There isn't 1 game on Pixelboy's or CollectorVision's sites that interest you? Not even 1?

  5. No way. Nintendo was the clear winner of that particular console war. Individually, both the NES and SNES outsold the Genesis in every major region (except Europe where Genesis barely edged them). Combined, the NES/SNES were a devastating combo punch from Nintendo. Start talking about software, and it's not even close. 13 SNES games sold over 3 million copies each. Only 2 Genesis games (both Sonic) can say the same. Not even from a sales standpoint, the SNES had the more memorable Gen-defining games. Super Mario World, Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past, Star Fox, Final Fantasy III, Donkey Kong Country, etc...

Don't get me wrong though. I appreciate Sega as a console maker a lot more now than when I was a kid. I just recently started growing my Sega CD and Sega Saturn collections. But, Nintendo won that war hands down.

  6. I just want to say that I also received my Super Game Module just before Christmas, and it was well worth the wait. Beautiful packaging, and now I can finally play the great games I've been ordering from Pixelboy. I confirmed the SGM worked on both my full Adam set-up and my ColecoVision. So, I would like to thank Opcode Games for bringing the SGM to life, Atari Age for taking the shipment orders, and also Team Pixelboy for being one of the sources of games that take advantage of it's abilities. Now, I have to add some CollectorVision games to my collection and keep an eye out of Opcode's other upcoming releases...

  7. Dang it, I just used my last 1200 bucks to stoke my fireplace ...

Dammit! I'm out of money, too. And I would have been all over that. I mean, there are *THREE DONKEY KONGS* in that lot of "rare" games...

"You also get some of the rarest titles, such as Oil's Well, Linking Logic, Alphabet Zoo, Congo Bongo, Coconuts and Donkey Kong Jr."

You're also getting Donkey Kong Jr., one of "the rarest" ColecoVision titles.

  8. Yes, I have had success ordering from eColeco. I was looking to order a particular item on the eColeco site last month. I sent an e-mail to confirm if it was in-stock or not. I received a reply the same day confirming that it was available. I completed the order process on the website immediately after and received the item within 3 days. Just be sure to e-mail them first to confirm they have the item you are looking for in stock.

  9. Hi all, new to the forum and first time Coleco Adam owner. I had a ColecoVision growing up in the 80's, and it always remained a favorite console of mine. I had not been aware though of the Adam's existence until many years later when reading "The Ultimate History of Video Games" by Steven Kent in 2001. (My family's first home computer was the TRS-80 Color Computer 2, which I also retain a fondness for, hence one of my favorite childhood platforming games in my profile name and pic) I finally made the plunge to acquire an Adam Family Computer from eBay this year and have it up and running and am thrilled with it so far. B.C.'s Quest for Tires on ColecoVision was one of my favorite games, so I would love to have a copy of the Super Game version. I'm curious to hear if this project was completed, and if so are copies available?
