So you're enlightened? Mas MoJo!

Kevin Savetz from the Antic Podcast (for the Atari 8-bit computers) was in attendance at FestWest 2017.
He provides some commentary on the event at the beginning of Antic episode 43. Here's the link:

This looks like a great project for someone who has a pair of original TI sticks too. Remove the old controllers and use the TI cable to a single joystick with an extra button.
Damn! Gave mine away at Festwest.

Do the TI faithful here on AtarAge include any of the original TI folks? Seems so little is available on the 99/4 historically; especially when compared to the other systems of the day.
Do any of you have contacts with the players mentioned in the Orphan Chronicles?

Number of delays per instruction?
It had 99 problems but four decades later you'll still love it.

Number of delays per instruction?
Actual performance equals the performance of a TMS9900 16-bit processor divided by four.

Once you're finished you'll need a Killer-App game to motivate others to build one!

So you'll bypass the chip logic inside the second controller?

Have you resolved handling the single port issue?
Apparently pins two and seven select Joyst 1/2?

I use the Hyperkin Genesis controllers which sell for only $8.99. They seem to have good build quality and work well. So...yours will probably be pretty good.

I like this idea! All you need to do is code your program to read both joysticks after building your mutilated Genesis FrankenStick.
Read button #2 and UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT on joystick #2 to get five more buttons.
You then have a six button joystick after writing the appropriate code for the thing.

Wouldn't you be kind of killing off a now somewhat collectible 32K card/Clamshell assembly to do so?

"IN THE STYLE OF THOSE FROM THE 80s."Microsurgeon aside I think 99 4/a hardware would overall make a great platform for people to make their own actual arcade games in the style of those from the 80's.
I'd love to see more original game titles in the style of those from the 80s!
Your project's progress will be interesting to follow, especially if you include video or photos.
While listening to a podcast (Intellivision I believe), the programmer interviewed talked about porting Microsurgeon to the TI. He expressed significant levels of enthusiasm regarding the TI's resources v the consoles of the day.
I believe he stated that Microsurgeon on the TI is something of a premier/definitive version. Here's the links:

There is always next year... IF I decide to do this again.
While I cannot and will not commit yet,
I have a feeling Omega will host this wonderful event again next year. If not, I may need to go public with those photos I took in the event parking lot.

Gave mine all to Greg at arcadeshopper. Maybe if you order something from his awesome site he'll slip in an empty shell?

You should start a gofundme for a new TurboForth Cart. I'm in for $1.
