  2. Many thanks for all this help :) .

I have not received the Vec yet, but being a brightness adjustment problem, I feel more comfortable knowing that the seller has not acted in bad faith.

  3. Hi. On Saturday I bought this Vectrex. According to the seller he had lost the brightness adjustment knob and had the sides open. He claimed that they were the only defects. After I paid for the product and hr put it in the mail he sent me a video of the console running, apparently there is more to it. Someone could explain to me what is going on. Thanks.

  4. Is there a good place to find freely available O2 homebrew roms?

Here´s some demos of some game I´m working. (coments are welcome)

    Boombox (a sokoban game)

    and Haunted Woods (a plataform)

Previous releases may be granted to those requesting, provided that the intention is for their own non-commercial use. Unfortunately some people do this practice.

  5. My main focus was to complete the Brazilian collection, since I live in Brazil.

So I have all 60 cartridges launched by Philips here, plus the "Missão Impossível/ Viagem Programada" game (only two found).

Also I have the complete colection of "Odyssey Aventura" magazine, 8 numbers in total.

And the 3 posters released here by Philips 1983, 1984 and 1985

Folders, Catalogs and other things, like my KC Munchkin:

  6. 1.) Love our system and games!

    YEEEEESSSSSS!

a.) Unlike most kids who wanted a 2600 I always wanted an Odyssey. At the time I lived in a small town (currently living in an even smaller) then there was Odyssey for sale in stores. One day, my father traveled back to bring my Odyssey. I kept waiting, he arrived with that huge box between 2 and 3 o'clock in the morning. I remember opening the box, reading manuals, magazines, and smelling that beauty. I went to sleep and the other day I woke up very early. We have begun a long romance that will continue until today.

b.) Many. Play Smithreens, Spin-out, Showdown in 2100 AD with friends, the first time I "completed" Turtles. Each new game was a huge joy.

I have a memory of one day that I and a friend (who also owned an Odyssey) went to buy cartridges, we had little money, we lost, it was a fun adventure, my English is not bad to describe it. On this day I bought my Super Bee and he Popeye.

c.) The weirdest thing you have typed into "Type and Tell" to make The Voice say?

4.) Super Bee here, Rafael there

  7. OK, what is really bugging me about assembly is there is no way to do if-then things. How would I do this in assembly:

if a>#01ch then cpl a else add a,#1

I'm getting to the point now where I'm working on a border since I was playing around with the code in videopac.nl and stumbled through trial and error figured out how to make a border around the playfield.

Chris, you already checked René´s site. There´s some usefull function there:

    http://home.kpn.nl/~rene_g7400/

  8. That would be really useful, as I learn through examples (and modifying them to get my needs.) As it turns out, I had been a Videopac.nl member since 2008, and I had made 4 posts about the same game back in '08 in the help section.

Well, seems I can´t upload .a48 files here

  9.

But what you planning to do, is it Gosub? Let me know, maybe I can help you some way. I´m sure you can do easealy.

It's not Gosub, I don't think I'm ready to do that yet. It's actually my first program I programmed for the Atari 2600, Ants (or Alien Greed). I've made a website and blog entry about what I have done and am planning to do.

Sorry for the necroposting but I feel like returning to this now.

I saw you now a member of Videopac.nl, there you´ll find some incredible O2 programmers. I checked the Ants roms, unfortunatelly I don´t know much about random things. I don´t know if you see any problem if I give a Gosub start, maybe it could be usefull for you try to check how the things works.

  10. You could use a code, like old NES games that didn't have a battery. (Punch-out!) This game looks great! Thanks for posting the screen shots.

Yes, Sega used that method too. Glad you like the screen shots!

Hi, I tried to run this file in some emulators nostalgia, bliss, intelliware) but I haven´t sucess. What I did wrong?

I'm not sure. I have not tried it with those emulators.

    Have you tried jzintv?

I put the emulator in the same folder as the .rom or .bin and then run it with a command line like this:

    jzintv -f0 -z1 gamename.rom

I actually just make a batch file with that command line and put the batch file in the same folder as the rom and the emulator. Makes things easy.

Thanks, it works. I´ll try the game.
