Retrospect! Brilliant! Thanks so much for your quick reply! I now remember asking my dad to buy me that book. I found the bit of code online. It was Pattern #2 in the Pattern chapter: 100 CALL SCREEN(2)::FOR N=1 TO 28::CALL SPRITE(#N,42,16,N*6,N*2,0,N*4)::NEXT N 110 GOTO 110 Seeing that it was really just one line of code, I'm still impressed. Thanks, again! -
I remember trying a published Extended Basic sprite program a long time ago (I was 8 at the time) and being totally blown away by it. Now my son is 9 and I wanted to show him this example, in part, because of how elegant the code was. Does anyone remember this very compact bit of code (5-6 lines) that was published that produced what looked like spiral galaxy arms of sprites that radiated and moved across the screen? I thought it was one of the demo codes in the Extended Basic manual, but I tried those and alas they didn't do it. Not sure how good my memory is but it looked something like this (but white askterisks on a black background):
