  1. There was an event in Florida??? I was hoping that I would catch things like that! Are their pics of the 2007 event?
  2. I thought it sounded like Tron Deadly Discs. If the regenerations had a cool animated effect, then there may be a game here. If they just pop on the screen, it would sort of suck.
  3. I reached that stage at around 2,3000 pts. After about 50 tries, I gave up. If there was to be an end to this hack, this stage is it. That's because even if I happened to pass that stage, I don't expect to see anything cool. Just more insane music.
  4. I've been playing this for about 15 minutes, and I don't know what the hell I'm supposed to do! I ended up turning it off because I was expecting to get to an endpoint, or at least get a gold bar or something. It is an interesting idea for a hack. And you got rid of the original music which helps. I also got a kick out of jumping on a turtle and using him to get back on the main level. If I didn't find that, then I'd be bored. Are the apes from "Sky Skipper"? Part of me thinks that scorpions would be better, but the apes are cool.
  5. I don't know why, but I thought that it could actually be Buck Rogers from the title screen. But that game displays the score at the top.
  6. I only played the game in MAME. Moon Patrol is a hard game to think of a hack for. That's why there's a hack where you drive a shoe! I tried to make a Buckaroo Banzai game out of Moon Patrol. But it was going to suck!
  7. That's exactly what I thought. Of course I wasn't so eloquent. Back in the day when I use to run "Jerky's Arcade Hacks", I'd get e-mails like this all the time. "You should put South Park characters in PacMan!" - stuff like that. And I'm like, "Dude, you do it!"
  8. "Well, you can wish in one hand and crap in the other and see which gets filled first. "
  9. I sort of chuckled at the name of the game on the cartrige--"Defender Arcade". It's like Atari is putting out a message to me like, "Our original version of Defender sucks, so here's a more arcade-realistic version!"
  10. I can't seem to play the latest verison under Z26 (X26 frontend) anymore. Is there something I need to setup now?
  11. Is there a way to change the positions of the title letters? If you can get those blocks of graphics to display horizontally, then you could change the title screen to look like the original arcade title. Make it even more like the arcade version!
  12. You're doing a fantastic job on this hack! Changing the numbers to the original format was beautiful! Was there a problem with making the ship white?
  13. I love this idea too! Not crazy about the binary data your protecting though. And light cycles would probably be too hard to do. I love Tron themes. Good job!
  14. I tried to change Custer's Revenge using both Bithacker and Showgfx. And you're right--even the slightest changes stops the game cold. However, Atari Troll was able to hack the game and make Custer's Viagra. I think that there is a checksum process in the game to prevent pirate copies. Do they do that for Atari 2600 games? I don't know. I'm guessing that Atari Troll got someone like Nukey Shay to stop a checksum process or something like that. Maybe you can ask him?
  15. This hack almost made me bang my head on my desk. So I have to say something! Fabventure, please stop making hacks. I played Airwolf. I played Tron/Berzerk. I played Trenchfighters. I played Donkey Kong Fusion. And now I just played Crazy TV. None of these hacks are finished in my opinion. But you keep making more of them! I have at least 5 hacks that I made. But I think they suck, so I didn't post them here. Most of your hacks have something wrong with them. They would never be a good cartridge. Fix one of them! Yeah, I'm sure that I sound like an A-hole, but I had to say something after the 5th hack.
