Ok so i removed the diode, Removed the ground for the two resistor connections. I thought soldering the Orange directly to the button pad would make it work but its still isnt so im guessing i need to switch the orange wires to the ground side of the buttons idk that doesnt seem right either and there isnt a third post to go with.

It's a little confusing using the color codes, because they are not all the same between the examples that you have shown. Pin 6(orange if your joystick uses Atari's standard) needs to be connected to the 'other' side of both fire button switches(the sides without the resistors.)
If I'm interpreting you correctly, you also need to disconnect that side of each switch from ground if you haven't already done so.
OHH SHIT why didnt i think of that the buttons had two connections on each one on so i need to add a wire to extend it but i think i can get this to work. So Disconnect the resisters from ground. Remove the diode and put orange to both buttons. The side without resistors is the ground side right? Cuz looking at my buttons theres two traces ground and the main. The main i have resistors on.

Awesome thanks where do i connect 6 to then on this circuit? originally orange was on where i now have yellow so if i change those out idk where to go with the yellow then.

this is what i used to figure out if i needed orange connected or not.

I thought i figured out the layout but now im not 100%. I have the directions working but the fire buttons dont. I know i have to cut the one trace goes between the two buttons but and im looking at the pin out and doesnt look i need to have the orange wire hooked up but if i do someone correct me. As of right now i have both Red and Yellow with the two resistors from the 7800 then linked into the diode then diode to ground. If you need pics i can take pics of the circuit but can someone please advice on what i need to do to get the two buttons working on the 7800.

Hello Folks I have a external av mod that i plug into the expansion port of my turbo but i have noticed when playing through the AV the sound is very low and i have to turn up my tv just to hear the game. Talking to fellow owners of such mods and even internal mods they say the sound is very low. Has anyone figured out how to Amplify the sound on these mods to make the stereo louder? I havent actually owned a true Turbo Booster but im sure it probably gives better sound quality than this. Any Input would be great.
