  1. Well said @DZ-Jay. As a half century player I have always thought that the main thing in a game is the emotions it can bring to the player. A game can be weak on graphics or have a clumsy user interface, but ultimately it can be great fun to some players, because there's a good story behind it or because the entire game concept is good. Donkey kong was to me an originally great (and I mean GREAT) game, poorly ported on the Intellivision. But the game concept was so strong that playing it could be fun even though on the Inty you had to avoid some hurdles and overcome its limits. I'm with you in expressing my gratitude to Mr Johnson.
  2. Does anyone know when it will be available again CIB? Rev, any news?
  3. Thank you CMart! If I ever decide to embark on this perilous journey I will strictly follow your advice 😃
  4. Wonderful collection CMart. Thanks a lot for sharing. I have always loved handhelds but I have never found the courage to start a collection.
  5. Too bad I missed on that one. It's already out of stock. Hope it will be restocked soon!
  6. I have the CIB version and I absolutely love the game. It will be nice to have it on my LTO flash to play it away from home. Thank you!
  7. Is the original expanded code still available somewhere? Or is it gone forever?
  8. In the item of ebay there's also a small ladybug sticker near the title label
  9. I'm not really into variants, but I have never seen one of those. It's not in great shape. https://www.ebay.it/itm/185916993091?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=FisOzp-hTBq&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  10. It's the second level, if I'm not mistaken. The one with the gigantic yellow birds. Great game! A lot of athmosphere and action. The bats following you along those neverending vertical corridors where it was impossible to fire...
  11. One of my sons is incredibly fond of Intellivision. I suppose it has to do with us playing together since he was a little kid. By the way we keep playing it with him well in his teens. But I agree with you, when I am too old or gone, my collection will be some kind of family heritage worth the memories it brings. It will keep some historical value but it will lose its market value completely. All in all, that's the way I want to leave it to my son. A tangible memory and a way to come back to me once I am gone and meet me in one of the phantasy worlds that Intellivision brings to life. Forgive me for the digression...
  12. Oh yes, please do it. I'll be waiting for that day.
  13. I love the idea of Plague, Inc. by @DZ-Jay On the same line of thought I would like some port of Civilization (the very first one) based on a reworking of Utopia with random maps and direct interaction between the players. Maybe it's a little ambitious but after the masterful port of Defender of the Crown the expectations for strategy games ports on the Inty are skìy high..- I do know that in the past someone was working on this but a port of the first Prince of Persia would be wonderful. I would love to see a port of Sega's Golden Axe. Last but not least, a reworking of a Star trek title for the PC (like Star Trek 25th anniversary) with a combination of story/adventure and arcade/combat action would be amazing. That's it. Dreams' book closed...
  14. Great gift for a wonderful occasion. Congratulations @Humblejack
  15. By the way, I love both Diner and its box. I have one, I paid it dearly, but it was worthwhile since I'm so fond of the burger time family (including Super Chef BT by Dave)
  16. Just wanted to let you know some info I came across on the restock of the CIB version. I contacted Rev three weeks ago and he told me that the restock could happen in spring or summer. I am checking the store periodically but so far the game is still out of stock. If someone has some other info they want to share, please let me and the forum know. Thank you!
  17. The game has not lost its greatness through the ages. My son, 15, accostumed to cinematic graphic and VR games on the latest versions of the PS, absolutely loves playing the game whenever I switch on my Inty. As I used to do with my friends once, my kid and I play it together, alternating at the controller one mountain each until the Crown. My everlasting gratitude goes to the programmers of this masterpiece.
  18. I do think the Bowling running man deserves a spot!
  19. Great game. When I was a kid I used to hate the Snake. The very noise before appearing was terrifying... I don't like the blobs at all. For me they where a mistery... I attach an old image (the attachment is larger)
  20. I have no clue on the answer, I'm sorry rickster8, can't wait to be revealed the answer (I will struggle to resist googling...) Excuse me for the off topic: "Happy trails" was a song too. But not by the Eagles, a much older one and a totally different style...
