  1. Not everyone being active on the Atari posts here at AA ... Maybe sellers of Atari stuff can tell us more - Lotharek, Best, Video61.... I think Adam's guess doesn't sound bad.
  2. BASIC 10Liners are missing at fandal. Gury looks complete... http://gury.atari8.info/news.php
  3. Without you and vhzc BASIC 10Liners would not be what it is :-). I didn't know that you know each other personally. Last year you won the sio2bt, so I had to find a new prize for you: And that's a funny little story. I talked to a guy from Chile if he could design a Logo for the contest. He did that and offered his design at an online shop in the U.S. I bought a couple of these and got it sent from the U.S. Then I've sent it to you to Chile. Virtually it traveled twice around the world to reach a neighbor.
  4. "they"? It's kind of a wiki. Everyone can add information. You only have to register and then you can start within seconds.
  5. I do not want to sound negative and I'm grateful for the many dedicated contributions to the community, but this list seems pretty useless. It would be better to use the energy to feed existing databases like Demozoo so that every developer gets the attention he deserves. https://demozoo.org/productions/?platform=16&production_type= Lotek Style has done an tremendous job maintaining the Demozoo database and compiling the Fujiology archive (http://fujiology.untergrund.net/) But he could also need help. Everyone can help build the database. Then there is not only a list of names, but also all productions of these persons.
  6. I always was a little late: 1983 Atari 2600 - 1985 Atari 800 XL - 1992 Atari 1040 STFM - 2003 Atari Falcon - 2011 Amiga 500 - 2012 Amiga 1200 The purchases of machines before 2000 were all clearance sales. After 2000 garage sales.
  7. I'm not sure if it's appropriate to talk about the old memories in a condolence thread ... But actually, that's exactly what you do at funerals. I remember that we did a "Cervi Nations Cup" and that we both came in second with the same score. The venue was Doordrecht.
  8. Sad. The community will never forget his contributions. Personally, I will not forget his genius. I met him in about 2003 at an Atari day in the Netherlands (in the gym near the school where the music teacher taught music theory in a room with about 20 Atari ST computers - quite cool in 2003 - but that's a side story). He showed me some work on his SMB. He was an impressive guy. RIP Analmux Condolences to his family and friends
  9. Yes! There will be another BASIC 10Liners contest. I'm working hard to prepare things... revise the rules, update the homepage, talk with John about the new Logo,... The contest will start soon! :-) ... And end at NOMAM ...
  10. Ah, that's fun. Star Duel here. I'm tempted to write a 10Liner that fits the name. Gesendet von meinem MAGIC mit Tapatalk
  11. Have a look at Invaders (10Liner by Vitoco) and Minimalinvasiv (10Liner by Flo). Amazing stuff in only 10 lines of BASIC... http://gkanold.wixsite.com/homeputerium/games-list-2017 http://gkanold.wixsite.com/homeputerium/single-post/2016/03/26/Invaders
  12. For me it was absolutely clear that I have to vote with "no" to change the ranking. I agreed with the jury and didn't vote "no". They explained it detailled and understandable why they've chosen the ranks for the items. But both participiants felt treated unfairly...
  13. I've heard this for the first time. Markus, I hope you'll recover soon! Buddy, we need you!
  14. I like his products and his sense of humor. I remember his april fool releasing Burger Time aka Beef Drop as an unreleased Prototype, it was the best april fool ever. Think he was a great guy and a real Atarian. I'm sad to hear he passed away. We will remember you, Ken! Yes, the name was MAKEATR.EXE. You will find it on the holmes CD. http://ftp.pigwa.net/stuff/collections/holmes%20cd/Holmes%202/PC%20Atari%20Programming%20Utils/MAKEATR/index.html. Other products from him are UNMAKATR.EXE and DISKFORMer. Take also a look at his homepage... http://kensclassics.org/
  15. I've seen it in action yesterday (skr's device). I do not need it, but I WANT it. Put me on the waiting list, please (1 device fully assembled).
  16. Love it Thank you very much for sharing. And many thanks for the PDF. I love to read the stories. And nice to see the listings. The PDF is worth to be printed to a book!
  17. I would test and review Amokbots, Laserblast X, Megaoids and Tempest Elite for ABBUC magazine (doing reviews since 14 years for ABBUC), but I can't afford all these games, since I don't make any money with my writing. Send a PM if you are interested...
