Lost Monkey: Thanks! Nice job with that. Here's a screenshot of it, in case anyone is curious:
-
You can see how the flickering is more prominent when a game ends and the screen goes into the color cycling/attract mode. I would guess if the background was black and the ghosts were a darker color, it wouldn't be as annoying..

Only Mark Hahn knows for sure, I guess...

@ Lost Monkey or Thomas: can you post your Pac-Man hacks?
-
If you make use of all 4 paddles, you could make a version of Quadrapong (each player patrols a side). Or if you mix in Breakout, you could make a more-faithful version of Off The Wall.

My Ms. Pac-Man did something weird last night!
Scott Stilphen replied to Miles Tails Prower's topic in Atari 2600
Wha...you doubt the 'master of Easter eggs'? Ok, if you need proof, check out the 2600 Connection issues #14 (where I first mention it's possible to go into the walls) and #20 (where by then I had discovered how warp to different levels, and used that technique to do level warps in Kangaroo) -

That was a bug I discovered years ago. Each maze has a specific area that, once you go into the wall, you can warp to the next level. I used this trick to roll the score to see if anything happens (nothing does). See the link below to find out more about it. -
I wouldn't mind seeing remakes of some arcade 2600 ports, especially since most of the bigger titles (Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, etc) are only 4K.

Ebivision's version is really impressive, and it's only 4K! I'm sure with 8 or even 16K a damn good version could be made. Hey Thomas, can you do.................uh, nevermind
-
Actually, I would just be happy with a hack that had the right maze and background colors (ie more like the arcade). I wasn't expecting anyone to make it exactly like that picture The purpose of the picture was just to show how much better it looks with the right colors, even though the gameplay is still the same (lousy!). Why couldn't Frye at least have done that?

Here's a close-up scan of the Pac-Man pic:

Does anybody know what you're supposed to do with that flashing block at this part?
-
Nice job, Stan. What's your strategy?
-
The green 82 poster/catalog has a picture of it. Here's a link- http://www.atariage.com/catalog_page.html?...2¤tPage=4

I'm still hoping someone can hack the colors in Pac-Man (or show me how) so that it looks like the early catalog pictures. Anyone?
-
Anybody ever see this rare box?
-
I'm starting to think that system of yours needs to be replaced (or maybe the power supply is going). You have glitches happen with your games that nobody else does
-
I don't have one, sorry.

Ultimate Screen-Shot Contest !!! Free Games!! Woohoo!!!!
Scott Stilphen replied to moycon's topic in Contests
Tim provided me with the picture collage Dan Skelton made for the 2600C contest: -
From the manual. I just scanned it and modified the graphics a bit. I'm sure Adam could do a much nicer job

He states on his site that "I am under a twenty year old Non-Disclosure Agreement with Atari", so wouldn't that be running out soon?
-
Came across this tidbit- in ish #34 of the 2600 Connection, Arnie Katz stated that Coleco showed him a prototype of Turbo, and that the review published in EG was most likely based on that viewing, as he was never given the game.

Is it possible to dump the interal GameLine Master code and run it on an emu?

The chances of me playing up to 1,024 bridges and seeing the tanks is just as remote
