  1. I found 2 of the power supplies today at a garage sale a mile from my house. Still looking for other 400/800 items though. Games, floppy drive, tape software, etc.
  2. Looking for a Donkey Kong table top for parts. Does not have to work, does not have to be in great shape as long as the top section that goes around/over the screen is ok. That's the part I really need. The part that has the Donkey Kong sticker on it that connects to the bottom part of the machine, where the arcade machine would have a marquee
  3. Anyone know what theses things go to? I got them with some other game stuff the other day. They are about 1" x 2", have pictures/info about various SW characters, and have a small circuit board in them.
  4. 1961 here. The first game system I remember playing is a Pong unit way back in the early or mid 70's. My dad came home with it one day. We played for hours and hours. I'll never forget that sound, the ball bouncing back and forth, and the paddles moving up and down. My brother got a Intellivision for Christmas when they came out. We played the heck out of it. One of my friends got a 2600 for Christmas. We liked the Intellivision graphics better and the 2600 controllers better. I remember when each new game system came out. We would play the demo units all the time in the stores. I also remember playing the old EM type arcade machines like Whirlybird and Speedway. Then the video arcades started replacing them. I played the old b/w machines first then the great classis stuff we it was new. Defender, Galaga, Centipede, Pacman, etc. I remember row after row of Galaga and Defender machines at the local arcades. I stopped playing in the early/mid 80's. Then my first daughter came along in '88. I got her a new SNES and I was hooked again. Been collecting ever since. Here is somthing that really makes me feel old. I remember watching Neil Armstrong step foot on the Moon live on TV.
  5. Looking for AC adapter for a Atari 800 computer. Also other accessories. Disk drive, tape drive cable and adapter, games, software, etc. Will trade NES system, NES controllers, NES adapters, SNES adapters, Genesis system, Genesis adapters, Genesis controllers, 2600 paddles, 45 records. Thanks, Jim
  6. Did pretty good today. Went to a few small towns around here. Got a Atari 400, Atari 800, assorted drives, and cables, Sega Saturn with all hookups, and 4 games, 5 or 6 handheld games, 2 model kits, train track and engine. Spent $30.00.
  7. If you buy something from Sears, or anyplace else and have it shipped to you they don't pay you to return the item. If you don't want it you have to pay shipping to return it to them. If you buy something and it needs repair under warranty you have to pay shipping to return it for repair or replacement. Why should eBay be any different?
  8. Cool! If that were at any of the local Goodwills around here, though, the price would have been $200.00 not $20. Yours must have forgotten where to place the decimal point. That's one good thing about living in Mississippi, pretty much everything is cheaper than other parts of the country. I buy various games systems all the time in the $1-$15.00 range. I have bought full size arcade machines by the warehouse full for $10-$30 per machine.
  9. Made the rounds today and found a nice pachinko machine at Goodwill for $20.00. It works great and even had a big bag full of balls.
  10. Sounds like the flyback to me. You can get a new one along with a cap kit for around $30.00 from Bob Roberts.
  11. You can cut the end off the RF cable and replace it with a RCA plug or you can cut one end off a RCA cable, strip it, and solder it to the board.
  12. Looking for a NES Rob the Robot set. Prefer in box with all parts but will consider others. Let me know what you have and how much you want. Thanks, Jim
  13. The Coke machine works great. They only thing is, is it takes small size glass bottles and we can only find them at 1 store around here and they are about $4.50 a 6 pack. The machine takes a nickel. It was in my Grandfathers Texaco station since the 1940's. I remember getting Coke's out of it when I was a kid back in the 60's. My Dad gave it to me 5 or 6 years ago. When he gave it to me I was cleaning it up and I fould a bunch of old coins in it. Buffalo nickel's, Mercury dime's, etc. It will never be sold by me. it will go to my kids. Jim
  14. I could have bought about 1500 of those preview VHS tapes at an auction for $300.00. Since I was buying to resell I passed. They say right on the slip cover and on the tape "not for resale" or something like that. They even have a toll free number on them and say to call it and report where/when/who you got the tape from. In any case I was still buying normal VHS tapes whenever I could find big lots of them. I bought them for $1.00 each in lots of 100 or more. Right now I have about 4-5 hundred of them. I had about 2500 at one time. I have pretty much stopped buying them though. Now I buy DVD's. Have around 100 so far.
  15. If I find it cheap I buy it. I keep a couple for myself if i don't have them already and sell/trade the rest. In the last month or two I have found about 10 NES systems, 4 SNES, 7 Sega, 5 2600, 4 N64, 3 Intellivision, Xbox and a few others. Jim
  16. It's 2 rooms in my house. I have a big old house with 23 rooms so the wife let's me put games in a couple of them. No basement though. We live in the south and they don't have them here. I wish we did have one. It would give me a lot more room! I grew up in Minnesota and we had a big basement. I also have a big Lionel train layout but it's up in the attic (attic is about 800sf). I have about 100 arcade machines right now. Most are in my shop and out in the barn. Jim
  17. I'll answer this way. Don't know if they are my favorite but the first system I ever played was Intellivision when we got one new for Christmas way back when. Then later I got a used 2600, then I got a new SNES for my daughter when she was 4 or 5. So I guess they are the systems that bring back the most memories. I also played the 2600 a lot back when I was in college. We would sit around and play that thing for hours instead of doing things like go to class or study. I guess what we were smoking and drinking helped with the not wanting to go to class thing. Jim
  18. Here is a link to some pictures of my arcade machines, game systems, warehouse raids, gameroom, and pinball machines. No index or web page just raw images. I need to make a web page but just can't find the time. Too busy working on/playing games! http://www2.netdoor.com/~vannoys/games/

  23. I had no seatbelt on, it was a convertible, and I was doing a bit over 140mph. I got a small cut on my forehead, and a small cut on my chest when they pulled me out. That's all. No broken bones, no stitches. It took them 45 minutes to get me out from under the car. The whole time I was trapped I was looking at the battery hanging by the cables and swinging back and forth by my head. (the battery in this car is right behind the drivers seat). I had also just filled it up and fuel was running everywhere, including all over me. They got there and I heard them talking to the hospital on their radio. They were saying stuff like possible broken bones, internal injuries, broken neck, etc. They also put a guy with a hose right next to me and told him to "open it up" if he even saw a spark. It was certainly not my time to go.
