I was doing 140mph and a drunk crossed into my lane. I went off the road and flipped end over end 6 times. Someone who saw it all said it looked like a crash you see on the Indy 500. The entire engine came out and parts of the car were scattered for several blocks. It landed upside down and pinned me in. It flattened the windshield posts and tore the entire convertable top off. I was not wearing a seat belt which saved my life because I was thrown sideways laying under both seats with my head out one side and my feet out the other. The day before I had the car in a show and won first place in my class. After I got the insurance money I went out and bought a 61 Vette:

Speaking of Vettes here is my 1971 before and after:

Went on the rounds today. Got a SNES with 5 games, 4 manuals, 1 controller, and all hookups for $6.00 at Goodwill. Also a Saturn controller and 3 games for $5.00. At another junk shop I passed on a SNES with hookups and 1 controller for $30.00, a NES bare console for $20.00, a bunch of NES controllers for $1.00 each and several guns for $3.00 each. I use to get stuff cheap at this shop. Now it's all way to high and on top of that they now write the price across the top of everything with a green marker. I mean right across the top of consoles, and controllers, and across the label on game carts. At another shop I got a box full of misc controllers, power supplies and TV switchs for $12.00. Got about 5 NES controlles, NES Advantage, 4 guns, 2 Genesis, 2 TI, Atari paddles, several NES power supplies, Genesis PS, and 2 Atari PS.

One shop had 3 fullsize arcade machines. A Super Pacman, DK, and Ms Pacman. They wanted $800.00 each and 2 did not work. I have paid anywhere from $2.00 to $10.00 for NES systems. At $10.00 I usually find them with controllers/hookups and sometimes even a few games. I have yet to get one that will not work with a bit of cleaning and pin bending. If I get a non-working unit I take it apart, remove the connector and bend each pin up a bit with an Xacto knife. It works everytime.

I did this with a gutted cocktail cabinet and a NES system. I used a 13" RGB composite monitor. I took the NES board out and mounted it in the cabinet. Used a board/cable out of a NES controller and hooked it up to the original cocktail joystick and buttons. You could do the same thing in a UR cabinet using a 19" TV. Remove the board from the 2600 and mount it in the cabinet near the coin door. You could open the coin door to change game carts. Remove the switches from the board and mount them on the CP by running a cable from the board to the switches. Mount a couple joysticks and a track ball in the CP and you are ready to play.
