Hop over to 7:10 if the video doesn't start from there. You'll get a good shot where that cable goes.

I put just a few hours into it. I haven't played since the updates rolled out. The concept is neat, and I sort of got into it, but exploration becomes wash, rinse, repeat. No mass cities, just random outposts.

Grabbed one off eBay for 15 and some change. Had to dig for a copy of XP to run on a virtual machine. Once I get network sharing setup on XP, I'll be able to transfer the needed files and hopefully have the Dex up and running.

Cool! Will be looking into this and hopefully be able to snag those saves off it.

Years ago my original PS2 memory card just stopped working. The system would no longer acknowledge it. No corrupt data messages. Still have it and is it possible to revive it?

Just picked up a copy of NES Remix.

I decided to blow the dust off my 3DS and catch up on updates and Shadow Link smiting in Link Between Worlds. I'm also looking into flash carts for it.

What year is your PS? I have an August 95 model that let's you do the swap trick to play imports. I also have a November 96, but it doesn't do that. Look here for some insight. http://assemblergames.com/l/threads/play-ps1-backups-with-gameshark.49193/

I got this on launch day. Not bad, but has room for improvement. It's sort of becoming stagnant, as I was hoping to run into alien cities, not just an outpost here and there. Though I am on a hostile planet that's making me a decent amount of units. It's littered with gravity balls and those metallic stones. I stopped there and went back to catch up on Fallout 4.

My PS4 was doing a similar thing to the 3's YLOD. It called for a GPU reflow, but I found an alternative fix on YouTube. I don't know if it could work on a PS3. Below is a guide on a fix to the YLOD. Look at step 27, the PS4 has one of those brackets. The 4's fix is using 2 nylon(or any non metal) washers under each of the shouldered screws, and then tightening until you'd start to get resistance. Then putting back together enough to test it. If that didn't fix it, add another washer under each screw. You could also adjust how tight you retighten the screws too and see what happens. If that fails and a reflow is necessary, find a reputable PC repair place. Don't take it to shady acres repair for that.

Finally a place to share them! They are mainly graphic changes and repairs.

These are the custom games.
-Chase HQ z and Rad Racer Z34 feature my old Lumina Z34 as the car of choice.
-ZZZ Unk Simon's Quest, I replaced Simon with Richter
-Elevator Action X just features a different player and added blood.
-Karateka Sphincter Boy, I just edited the head of the player.
-Metroid Test, A custom conversion that I haven't finished. Feedback might inspire me to finish it. I know there was a spot or 2 where one would get stuck falling through the lava type floors.

These are the hacks that had graphical issues I fixed.
Belmont's Island, Bizzario, Link Bros, Mariotroid(as a bonus, I also replaced Bowser), and The Search For Link. I never submitted these, so you can go grab the original games and compare. Hopefully I fixed all the problems in those, as it has been a while since I did these.

For simplicity, I'll link you guys to my reddit post; https://www.reddit.com/r/gamecollecting/comments/3fin6k/my_collection_so_far/
Sent pics of the Kokumeikan game to Game Rave and the conclusion is that the game is a bootleg. Then recently, scored the following goodies;
-SNES, Removed those 2 tabs by the pin connector.

-Tetris 2 and Stunt Race fx

-Super Everdrive Chinese version that I slapped into a US cart. Designed the sticker and pboland made it happen!

-Intellivoice(complete, with original receipt)

-2600 games; the Mattel games are Burgertime, Frogs & Flies(Frog Bog), and The Adventures of Tron. For some reason, Starmaster doesn't work.

-Resident Evil on the Cube and the Action Replay Plus

I popped mine apart to see whats in it. I noticed contact points that have a "shroud" over them that the stick pushes down. I imagine those might be smashed down. There's a film over the circuit board, so I couldn't mess with it without cutting into it to get to the points.

Long story short, I narrowed down to the transformer. After popping the RF shield off and seeing a very clean board, I did a volt test. It's only getting 10.85 volts to the supply board. Then I started to check the ribbon connector. The first pin, if I recall, was fine. The next 2 were under the normal voltage. Before I could test the last pin, the transformer got hot enough to smell and I shut it down. The only thing that was warm on the supply board was the smaller of the 2 large caps. Right now I'm looking around on eBay for either a transformer or parts system.
