The Free McBoot PS2 card and pack of Taiyo's showed up this week. Then snagged the Super CD of Altered Beast and Elrond off of eBay. -
Most fragile CD based systems?
SiberianSpForces replied to Rick Dangerous's topic in Classic Console Discussion
My August '95 PSX is still going. The only hiccup it experienced was the start up screen and cd/memory card screen being jittery. It no longer does this. When my brother had it, he would keep it elevated so the vents weren't as close to whatever it sat on. I'm on my 3rd fat PS2. I had to PS2's(30001 & 50001) AV go out on me. -
Intellivision newby; some questions ...
SiberianSpForces replied to Yosikuma's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
Luck has it that I have a parts intelli that's taking up space. I'll be home later tonight, so I can check/test the controllers. -
Did some lookins and found Joytech's 8" LCD, Pelican's game glass, and a 5.8" screen. Now it comes to availability and $$.
-
Cool. In a search on eBay I also came across a couple different Intec screens. They have both AV jack and composite.

I would like to have one that could work with other consoles. It has both male and female PS AV ports which leads to my question. Would it work if I used RCA female adapters on a PS cable and hooked another system's cable to the adapters? *Crap. This may be in the wrong section. Please move if need be.*

The Playstation 2 discussion thread!

Cool. Got a Maxtor 120GB drive. I looked at r/PS2 and a redditor sells loaded Sony cards for $10+shipping. I've messaged them and am waiting for the PayPal invoice. -

I've heard of McBoot, though I have yet to look into it. I'll have to check the space on the hdd. -

I'm on my 3rd fat PS2, as the other 2 had A/V problems making it unplayable. I have a Flip top lid for the 30001 that I had to modify for my current 39001. Then a whole flip top clear shell for a 50001. Along with Swap Disc, I have burned a few rare games and imports. My big reason for the flip top(s) was to play the PAL Ico I have. The latest pick ups are the Fatal Fury and Capcom collection games. I'm also thinking of doing up a hard drive for it. I believe I have the program on the PC and a spare IDE HDD. -

Awesome! I registered last night. If I don't see the second email in a couple days. I'll let you know. -

Members only section you linked. Might just register anyway since I noticed sound loss after a while of playing on mine tonight. -

I looked up Turbo Duo slow disc speed and seen http://www.neo-geo.com/forums/showthread.php?128062-TURBO-DUO-SOUND-FIX!!-(56k-beware). Read post #2. The best way I can think of testing with the top off would be popping out the spinner magnet from a PS2 lid, or if you are able to pop the Duo's off. -

Hit the Covered Bridge Festival again this year. The game shop was back so I snagged 2 PCE CD games and a CIB Frog Bog. The second SuperCD game is a homebrew of Berzerk. Aetherbyte is the game studio and appears to still be active. The shop is New Wave Video & Games out of Racine, WI. -
Looking for Corrupted PS2 memory card (buy or loan!)
SiberianSpForces replied to HoshiChiri's topic in Wanted
I have a bad card. I'll double check when I get home later. -
Great transaction! Got a few Intellivision games at a good deal. Got here quick and was packed very well.
-
Yep. No worries if it's a tad late to try.

I just snagged this and am using 2600.emu to play. It seems really fun so far and the controls are very good. I'll more than likely setup my DS3 since I usually miss the on screen buttons. Colors and sounds are nice, too. Have you tinkered with the idea of being able to shoot down enemy fire?
-
Sort of feel silly for resurrecting this, but I have the Prima DC strategy guide for this. I'll have to retake pics of it.
-
What is the preferred AV mod? Seen there's at least 2, maybe 3 floating around.
-
That's something to look into.

Finally got a working Intelli(thanks masschamber!) and it's got a jittery picture on my Emerson 32" LCD. When I hooked it up directly to the RF on my Element 20" LCD, it's fine. So I eliminated the system as the culprit. Here's the rundown of the setup on the 32"; -Intelli/2600 -Gepco VHD2000m flexcore cable -Archer 15-2100 amp'd selector -RG6 coax I even tried that little Radio Shack RF booster before and after the Archer with no luck. My 2600 does fine on the 32". Is it safe to say the Emerson's RF is lacking something and is there anything to improve the TV's RF?
