Aladdin's Castle: what was it like?
SiberianSpForces replied to Syzygy1's topic in Arcade and Pinball
Used to be one at the Tippecanoe Mall. Had a couple b-day parties there. Good times! It then turned into a Sultan's Palace, where the games slowly became prize games. Still got a roll or 2 of tokens in those snazzy token holders. -

The Official Game Boy Thread
SiberianSpForces replied to Skippy B. Coyote's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Once I did the DMG back-lit/bivert MOD, I went and picked up a few games. Then ended up with the Everdrive. I also just got an AGS-101 pink SP off of Craigslist. I swapped internals with my NES SP. -

Looks like I'll have to add bonus41 to this list. FS thread; http://atariage.com/forums/topic/267185-working-intellivision-3-parts/ Jumped on that and PayPal'd on 6/30, with a corresponding PM. Followed by 2 more PM's on 7/3 and 7/10 with no reply. Sent a couple follow up e-mails with no reply. Since PayPal Shows the name, Googled that and seen a handful of buyer bewares from 3 different forums. Also looked them up on facebook and 1 of their 3 accounts had activity from the first up to the 11th. Worst thing is I didn't think to see what type of PayPal payment I sent, which was family/friends. So it's a no go for dispute.

Hopefully this wasn't a fly by night'er. No correspondence after 6/29 and sending the PayPal.

Old technology needed for my new TV
SiberianSpForces replied to Omega-TI's topic in Classic Computing Discussion
I got it hooked up and just have my 2600 running into it. The picture looks better than just running to the coax on the TV. I did find a RG6 cord that and I'm thinking of getting a better RF cable to run from the Atari. -

What was the first video game you ever played?

Either a cassette game(Math Blaster, Labyrinth) on the Commodore Plus/4 or an Intellivision game(Frog Bog, MOTU, Frogger). -
New turbografx 16 problem

Here's a link; https://www.game-tech.us/mods/turbo-duo/ I'm sitting on his region chip and cap set right now. -
Value of incomplete / untested systems
SiberianSpForces replied to Derek Andrews's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Interesting topic as I'll be selling my Tg-16 once I install the region mod on the PCE. It'd be just the system w/diy composite cable and an adapter to use PCE controllers. It's RF gives a white screen and static sound and that's the only issue, otherwise it runs fine. -

http://www.cgquarterly.com/2010/04/26/building-a-turbografx-16-pc-engine-composite-av-cable/ I did this since the RF on mine isn't working. I have a printer, I went with the connector CatPix linked. I've also been thinking of drilling the rear cover and putting composite jacks on that then wiring it up. -
I took a look at the 1p control and that metal tab for the down direction was pretty flat. I was able to reshape it and it's responding better. In time, I may have to remove and fix it or just end up replacing it.

Came to the rescue and offered to send a couple of 2600 paddle shells(w/screws) at the cost of shipping. Very cool, Tombstone, very cool!

Android Emulation - What Emus Are You Running?
SiberianSpForces replied to Jagosaurus's topic in Emulation
Yes, rooting required. IIRC, Android is missing a BT packet for it to work stock. I also read where people are able to hook up the DS3 via an OTG cable and skip rooting. I don't have a cable to test that myself. -

I got the Sixaxis app for the PS3 controller and I didn't notice any lag. Found the menu button and turned it on. I assume the overlay pics go in the rom folder. -

On my phone(HTC 10) I just have JZINTV. Though I can't find the options to use overlays and turn off vibration, it runs fine. On my 1st gen Nexus 7(rooted) I have NES Nostalgia and SNES 9x+EX. I use my DualShock3 for both of them.
