Last week we took a look at Chuck Rock. A game many disliked. This week we have the squeal, Son of Chuck. A game many people seem to like. Let's check it out. Technology is amazing isn't it? When I was a kid we had small LCD games and a cheap Walkman to entertain us. Now we have so many choices. But, have you ever wanted to take that living room experience with you when camping? Well, now you can! Well, as long as you are travelling by car.

After making the last Pocket-Go video I wrote off to BittBoy explaining that most people were not happy about the screen refresh rate and tearing. Well guess what? They might actually address this issue. In this video I show you their response, more emulations testing and some of the ported Linux games running on the Pocket-Go.

There was once a British developer known as Core Design. They started life on the Amiga before hitting the big time with Tomb Raider. Sadly they were bought by a soulless conglomerate and are no more. But before the days of Tomb Raider they did make many original games. Once such game being Chuck Rock.

Here we finally are with the brand new system from Bittboy. It has been vastly improved in some ways and maybe not so much in others. Watch on to see if you should buy the new Pocket-Go.

The original Paperboy was a classic but the follow up is a whole different story. But hey, at least you can now play as a girl.

I finally got one, the PowKiddy X18

Thanks dj_convoy. I was out walking for about 2 hours. Glad you enjoyed the video. Love Capcom? Love old Capcom? Well you may just love this. https://youtu.be/rcrm9cYu9P4

An Awsome urban exploration video this week. So surprised to see what was around my area.

hahaha, it would have been something if it had been. Two new Life in japan videos today. Down at the game store selling my son's game. You actually get to hear me speaking Japanese in this video (Subtitled in English) And the second video is of us getting a haircut down at the typical Japanese barber shop.

One if not the first fully textured 3D fighters is finally on Battle of the Ports.

Here we go on another short journey around Japan. This time I show you how to buy a train ticket, ride the monorail and see how rice is grown.
-
The original Turrican was a reasonable game but the second one really took home computer games in to the console level of quality. Well, at least on the Amiga and maybe Atari ST it did.

Gaming headsets can be expensive but there are budget options out there. Are they any good?

What did you buy today?.........

Yesterday was a lovely Saturday. Not too hot and nice blue skies. Should have been a great day but...... I had to go to the office to finish up some loose ends. Join me as we ride the bike to the train station, see the city, take a look at one of those Pachinko places and end at a Japanese grave yard located in a residential area. Filmed using a GoPro Hero 7 Black. The video was originally recorded at 2.7k at 60fps. Unfortunately I couldn't get the same great quality to appear on YouTube.

This week on Battle of the Ports we have a true classic that started life on the C64. It's Turrican.

It's Booze Time!

Yeah, I know. I'm late to the party on this one but what an awesome controller this is. And best of all, it has a secret. Watch until the end to find out what.

Just put up a new video showing the current gaming room and how everything is connected to the TV and capture PC.

you've actually played the best port so you're very lucky not to have played the others This week on Battle of the Ports we are going to take a look at one of the earlier cart racers which first appeared on the Super Nintendo. This is Street Racer.

The original Ghostbusters was a great move. I was 10 years old when it came out. I actually saw it at the cinema back then. Then came the cartoon show, The Real Ghostbusters. I loved the first season of that too. Then came the game. Well, to those who lived in the US. In the UK it was quite a rare cabinet and in Japan it wasn't even known as a Ghostbusters game. Funnily enough the game got a few ports. Let's check them out.

A game loved by many for it's technical marvel but not for the gameplay. Strangely Shadow of the Beast was ported to many systems. Let's check them out.

The RS-97 is the go to system for an affordable worthwhile Chinese handheld but it wasn't without it's problems. The system really needed to be modded to get the most from it. Well, now the makers are back with an all new model (called the Q9, apparently) that promises to be much better than the original and it is. Watch on to find out why.

Before the Neo Geo SNK were still making many great arcade games. Beast Busters is one of them. Released just 1 year the Neo Geo was released, this game features the SNK scaling sprites trademark. Sadly this was only ever ported top two systems. Let's check them out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FxUTMLFLLb0&feature=youtu.be

Finally, an actual SNES clone with HDMI out. But is it any good? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_IYhrzHZfLg&feature=youtu.be
