The Official "Thrift finds" Thread
Yakumo1975 replied to Happy_Dude's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Not much these last few weeks although I did find a nice Mega Cd game for 100 yen and a Hong Kong version of an Xbox One game for 2000 yen cheaper than the Japanese release. -
A title that I get requests for all the time. It's Battle of the Ports - Operation Wolf

Disney Infinity 3.0 - Star Wars
Yakumo1975 replied to Master Phruby's topic in Modern Console Discussion
A bit of a thread boost, sorry about that but I guess it's better than making a new thread. I've just uploaded beta footage of the original Disney Infinity for Xbox 360. It's features a full debug menu plus many differences from the final game. -
Cheers man. Thanks for posting the video in this thread also. I've covered quite a few Neo Geo games on Battle of the Ports now but I'm sure there's more I can still cover

What's up with Nintendo hardware shortages?
Yakumo1975 replied to Rick Dangerous's topic in Modern Console Discussion
So, Nintendo won't make you a new NES Classics console but the Chinese will. But will it be any good? -
Retro Core takes a look at the new Galaxy Force II and Thunder Blade OST by Data Discs

I find Digital Eclipse to be a very lacklustre company. All of there emulation packs are basic as can be. Now I don't expect them to be as good as the stuff M2 put out but they could at least give s good screen filters. It's time to head out to those sand dunes in this week's Battle of the Ports - Buggy Boy. Show 167.

18 versions of Marble Madness for your enjoyment on this week's Battle of the ports. Unfortunately the NEC PC9801 version is missing from this video.

It's finally here after many months of delays. Retro Core 5 - Volume 19 - Dreamcast

NEW SNES game - The Darkness Hunter Unholy Night
Yakumo1975 replied to Yakumo1975's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I've been playing this a lot more tonight. It's miles better than those crappy knock off games in the videos above. Unholy Night does have proper moves, combos, counters and super moves. If the animation wasnt so choppy this would be so much better mind you. Also reached the last boss -
NEW SNES game - The Darkness Hunter Unholy Night
Yakumo1975 replied to Yakumo1975's topic in Classic Console Discussion
It was the books that got you, wasn't it? The packing is probably the highlight of this game if I'm honest. The Kick Starter was for a US release. The Japanese release was always on the cards. Sadly the game is always that choppy. The video was captured at 60fps too so even that wouldn't effect it. Hehe, I bet she's only in the game to gain people's interest.
