  1. Yeah its a nice game. Watching Game Sack last week reminded me of it my son loves Kirby games so he can't wait to an this one.
  2. The switch box is made by a member of the Assemblergames forum. He goes by the name of superg. He makes JPN21 versions like I have and standard RGB start versions which are mostly used in Europe. Price is not too cheap but then again for quality like this they are well worth the cash. We are talking anal levels of quality electronics with this device.
  3. Hi guys, I'm pretty new here but not to the gaming community in general. I've always been a gamer since the age of 8 (now I'm 40) but as a kid it wasn't possible to have a Mega collection. Now I live in Japan and have done for 18 years. Again, I have a problem. Not money but space. Here a video that a made a month or so ago. Things are now a little different as the Wondermega has a home and the PC Engine is connected to a CD Rom Interface.
  4. A nice mint copy of Hoshi no Kirby 3 for my son and I to play over the weekend.
  5. Agreed, the Mega CD looks so much nicer than the Sega CD. That looks so dull as the colours have gone along with the access intercator diagrams. Also, Im not a fan of the Sega CD logo. It's quite ugly and too big.
  6. Yep, we'll always remember Data East. They had many great games to their name.
  7. Thanks. I've got about 6 Mega Drive 1 consoles at the moment. I never actually wanted them but they came with bulk game buys. I guess I can use them for mod projects. Actually, here's two sitting on the floor right now. One needs it's audio caps fixed as there is a terrible buzzing from the audio and the other needs the cartridge port replacing. I already have a replacement ready for that fix.
  8. Data East never had problems with the 16bit age as previously thought in this thread. Their Mega Drive and Super Famicom output was rock solid with titles such as Crude Busters (two crude dudes), Joe and Mac, Side Pocket and many more including Overdrive on the PC Engine. It was the 32bit age which saw Data East struggle. They had a few okay 1 on 1 fighters in the Arcade and Saturn. The Magic Drop series for Neo Geo and Saturn as well as others. Pretty good games but they just didn't sell enough to keep Data East afloat.
  9. 250 dollars for house of the dead on Saturn? Just buy a Japanese one. You can get it for 50 dollars with gun easily.
  10. I'm lucky enough to own many Mega Drive units. Here are my favourite ones. I also have a silver Mega Drive which can be see on the opening credit of my Retro Core show.
  11. Just want go pop in and say thanks go those who posted links. Some great stuff right here.
  12. Hi guys, another new user here and general gamer although I must confess to liking old Sega the most. I'm also the producer of the Battle.of the Ports videos that Anthony has been posting. I'm glad other gamers are getting access to my shows! I've got loads more Neo Geo ports coming up in future shows.
