  1. I'm glad that Doug TenNapel got the rights to Earthworm Jim back. If only he got the rights to The Neverhood back as well...

    1. chas10e

      chas10e

I like me some of "The Neverhood" ... nephews lost my CD though :-(

  2. For those who remember Jazza on Newgrounds, he just did an MS-Paint challenge:

    1. Random Terrain

      Random Terrain

You must do it while planking with a bucket of ice poured on your back as you lick a container of stolen ice cream while somebody records it with their phone by holding it the wrong way.

  3. I wonder if anyone here has any experience with snakes as pets?

    1. masschamber

      masschamber

don't  let them sleep in bed with you

    2. DragonGrafx-16

      DragonGrafx-16

My father had a snake in his classroom at school, so I sort of have experience with them. It was a python so it ate a lot of live mice, but it did nothing most of the time, but sleep. If you want an active reptile as a pet, a snake would not be a very good option (though I guess that depends on the species), lizards are generally more active.

  4. RIP Rutger Hauer from Blade Runner. Also, RIP to that one cast member from ALF whose name evades me.

      R. I. P. to both.

Was the family on ALF the Tanners? Same as Full House?

    3. Master Phruby

      Master Phruby

Yes. Willy was Danny Tanner's brother. How rude!

  5. How come nobody ever talks about Persona 1 & 2 (both parts) anymore?

    1. Bixler

      Bixler

Recency bias, likely. It also doesn't help that P4G and P5 have been hailed as absolute masterpieces for JRPGs.

  6. I wouldn't mind making Fried Milk:

    1. Samuel Pedigo

      Samuel Pedigo

Frying milk will lead to this exchange eventually

      Dad: "where's the milk?"

      Mom: "Someone fried it!"

Dad: ok,so i'll just check my emergency stash and-"

      Mom: "That's fried too"

Dad: "Is there anything that isn't fried?"

Mom: honey, you're sitting on the deep fryer"

Son: "Mom, my eggs taste funny"

      Dad (Sighs in relief)

      Son: 0_0...(walks away)

      Mom: "Really?"

Dad: "trust me, come tonight you'll be glad"

      (night falls)

      Mom: "problem honey?"

      Dad: Its...stuck!

(it snaps off and he dies in the hospital)

It's freedom of speech people, relax

  7. A couple of underappreciated manga-ka: Kaori Yuki, Kentaro Miura, Kazue Koike (RIP), Tetsuo Hara, and Ryuuskue Mita.

    1. dj_convoy

      dj_convoy

You feel like Mirua is underappreciated? They've made Berserk into an anime like two and a half times! It seems like he's pretty free to do his own thing. Koike is responsible for one of the most widely reprinted manga of all time.

Oh, unless you mean underappreciated here.

    2. SlidellMan

      SlidellMan

I was talking about here, and Koike's other manga just doesn't seem to get discussed outside of Mad Bull 34.

  8. Showcase Comic-Con in Slidell, despite the small size, was a nice experience. Oh, and here's a Neurofunk bass I made: https://www.bandlab.com/fighting_zenith/sytrus-neuro-bass-demo-8852db8f?revId=6e3f9849-57a0-e911-abc4-28187831ee7a

    1. DragonGrafx-16

      DragonGrafx-16

I'm a huge fan of DnB and neurofunk in particular but I'm not feeling this sound at all. Do keep at it though. Here's a link if you wanna hear my stuff: https://rrrecs.bandcamp.com/album/disruptors-dragons

      GoldLeader

I dig it!   Actually I like both of the things I'm hearing. :)

  9. ALS is bad when you get it, but it is even worse when one of your friends, family, or pets get it.

    1. Random Terrain
    2. wongojack

      wongojack

It is no laughing matter, but I think my pet getting ALS is definitely better than any of those other scenarios . . .

  10. I don't think Beast Wars and Beast Machines deserve the hate they get. Yes, Beast Wars' CGI has dated substantially, and Beast Machines had story problems and ideas that shouldn't have worked. Yet, I still like both very much. Oh, I'm also into War Planets: Shadow Raiders. (Best Canadian CGI cartoon ever.)

    1. masschamber

      masschamber

I don't recall people hating beast wars and beast machines deserves it and then some

    2. dj_convoy

      dj_convoy

I was going to post essentially what mass said.

I'm going to take the high road by bringing up three movies: Revenge of the Fallen, Age of Extinction, and The Last Knight. I rest my case.

  11. Tenchi Muyo is underrated and hilarious. Even if Mihoshi is a dumb blonde from space! Hell, I'm also working on a little parody.

    1. frankodragon

      frankodragon

Ryoko is pretty funny when she's out to prove she's better than Ayeka.  Then there's Mihoshi crash- landing on both of them.

I used to really like the RPG (with the English patch).

    3. SlidellMan

      SlidellMan

      @retrorussell

I see where you are coming from. It felt far too slow, and too on the rails, especially when compared with Energy Breaker.

  12. This was long overdue.
  13. What can I say? I like Andrew Zimmern's Bizarre Foods!

  14. If you are going to have people from Newgrounds voice characters in your game, at least not have them sound like all of their other roles from various Flash cartoons and games they worked on.

    1. Serguei2

      Serguei2

You mean hire professional actors/actress for games or movies?

  15. Am I the only person who thinks about the misbegotten Magical Drop V? I have to give some credit to Golgoth and Ignition for continuing where Magical Drop 3 left off, but couldn't they have done a much better job?

  16. Am I the only person here who still likes Mega Man X3? In addition, I still prefer the SNES version over the CD-ROM versions.

    1. masschamber

      masschamber

if you were the only one the game wouldn't be stupidly expensive

    2. GoldLeader

      GoldLeader

I still need to give it a fair chance...

  17. RIP Peter Mayhew from the original Star Wars trilogy.

  18. What was the point of Children of the Corn 4: The Gathering if it doesn't have any ties to Stephen King's story and the first three films? It could have easily worked as an original title. (Ditto for CotC5.)

    1. Flojomojo

      Flojomojo

I had no idea there were so many sequels. Did you watch all the Jaws or Jurassic Park films, too?

    2. SlidellMan

At least Halloween 3 was good. (I am not being backhanded.)

It would have been more interesting if they worshipped-- and planned to resurrect-- Orville Redenbacher!

  19. I know it has been twenty years, but as bad as the first Inspector Gadget film is; the movie had potential to be legitimately good.

      R_Leo_1

I agree with this, the cartoon was great.

    2. GoldLeader

      GoldLeader

The cartoon used to come on right as I had to leave for school...Only ever saw it on days off, sick days, well and part of Summer...

  20. I'm still surprised that Taco Tico still exits despite all the locations close to me closing down. I wonder if there are any other former iconic restaurant chains still open on technicality?

    1. KaeruYojimbo

      KaeruYojimbo

I know I've read about several chains that are down to one or two remaining locations, but I can't think of any names right off hand (a lot of them are chains that were "iconic" in other parts of the country and never made it to my neck of the woods). I did eat a ton of Taco Tico in high school though. Tico > Bell.

We have the very last York Steakhouse near us.

    3. Inky

      Inky

Dog N Suds, in its heyday in the early - mid 70's had 700 locations nationwide (Mostly east and midwest I think,) and now are down to just 12.

  22. Was I the only person who thought that live-action Dora the Explorer trailer was a pre-emptive April Fools joke?

    1. GoldLeader

      GoldLeader

Sounds about right hahaa...Like I always say...I'm holding out for a live action Tetris movie.

  23. Ernest Goes to Jail is still funny to this very day.

I do like me some Jim Varney once in a while. Seems he died too young too. :-(

      GoldLeader

Never seen it but I bet it's funny :)

  24. It's still amazing that Cameltry is one of the few Arcade games that had No bad ports back in the day.

    1. GoldLeader
    2. GoldLeader

      GoldLeader

Yeah the SNES port of "Cameltoe" is called "On the Balls".
