  1. I've had this idea in which you take any bad Rob Liefeld drawing and re-drawing it into something actually good. (Don't just limit yourselves to those two Top 40 Worst lists.)

I don't have problem with liefeld his work always makes me smile

It's fun drawing in his "style"

  2. One More Day is still the biggest zit on J Michael Straczynski's Spider-Man run, if not his entire career. Here's Linkara's take:

Tune your ear to the frequency of despair...And cross-reference by the longitude and latitude of a heart in agony...Ha!

  3. Just because I agree with Osamu Tezuka and Bill Scott that 'a good story can save bad animation, but good animation can't save a bad story', doesn't mean it should be used as an excuse. Either 1: People will start to get tired of looking at bad animation; or 2: the stories/jokes/etc. go to shit whether the animation improves or not.

Sounds right...Something tells me you might be thinking of a specific show?

  4. If you guys want a good PS Vita/PS4 JRPG, try Exist Archive. It's proof that Tri-Ace hasn't lost it.

  5. Man, drying out a service manual that got left out in the rain isn't easy.

  6. It's been years since I last played it, but I still prefer the Super NES/SFC Star Ocean over the PSP version.

    1. Reaperman

      Reaperman

Oh yeah, very much so, and I also feel exactly the same way about Tactics Ogre SFC vs PSP.

    2. SlidellMan

      SlidellMan

I really liked all the little graphical details that none of the sequels had. Come to think of it, I also prefer the SNES/SFC version of Tales of Phantasia over the PS1, GBA, and PSP versions for the same reason.

  7. It's a shame that most comedy these days is uninspiring, unfunny, bland, and predictable. Sure, there's Edgar Wright, but despite imposing skills, he isn't the next Robert Altman or Ivan Reitman. Luckily, I'm writing my own comedy movie.

The funniest comedy I've seen in the last decade certainly wasn't an American movie (Kung Fu Hustle)

I've never seen the cartoons...Hmmm That's where I'm at. I'll take your word on it though :)

  11. I wouldn't mind a fighting game character modeled after Angus Scrimm's Tall Man character. Just imagine the potential if done well.

That would be pretty cool...I still need to see all Phantasm movies past the first one (I Know...call me Slacker ;)

I would like to see an Atari 2600 game of Phantasm. I imagine a chase scene with the Ball might be cool.

There is an Atari 2600 game of Phantasm. I think neotokeo did it.

Can ya print me up an Engine? How about a 440? I'll even take a nice 360 ...MOPAR please! ;)

  13. The first 78 episodes of The Real Ghostbusters have aged well in terms of writing and characterization. It sucks that ABC and Q5's meddling forced J Michael Straczinski to leave.

Fun fact: Scott Menville's father was one of the show's writers.

I remember thinking how much I preferred the cartoon to the second movie! I had no idea there were so many episodes. They should have had J. Michael Straczynski write the second movie...I could imagine a Great movie starting with an encounter with the Thing in Faversham's Attic...Maybe have it end up in another dimension, or have them find something like that spinning axis under Manhattan.

  16. Anyone here familiar with Doctor Morgus?

    1. MrMaddog

      MrMaddog

...the Magnificent? Yeah, I used to watch that every week on WPIX-11! I'm a sucker for goofy characters showing bad movies... (also Commander USA)

    2. SlidellMan

      SlidellMan

Commander USA? I never heard of him. Anyways, Morgus and Chopsley never get the credit among B-movie and vintage TV nerds. Somebody tell Rowdy C Moore!

  17. I've been binge watching Adventures of SMB3.

Considering the deaths of Captain Lou Albano, Danny Wells, Tony Rosato, and Harvey Atkin, it was the least I can do to honor their memories.

  18. It would be nice to see a Ys game in the vein of The Elder Scrolls or Breath of the Wild.

  20. How important is game color theory to you all?

    1. Osgeld

      Osgeld

as long as I can see whats going on and its not vomit inducing

    2. Random Terrain

      Random Terrain

What is game color theory? If the colors don't clash or hurt the eyes (like red on blue) and the game designer doesn't try to cause seizures or eye pain by flashing the screen, it should be fine.

    3. Jess Ragan

      Jess Ragan

I liked everything about Q*Bert 3 BUT the fact that the color rules (green is okay to touch; red and purple are deadly) went out the window. Red apples are worth points, while a green toad kills you. Uh, huh?

    2. SlidellMan

      SlidellMan

Various networks. I think WGNO in New Orleans/Slidell aired it.

    3. GoldLeader

Got ya! I think that would be that middle ground between cable and network, We had one (Denver) called KWGN that we could get (though a bit staticy) with an antenna, but I don't think they carried this show...
