I'd like to see further evidence of this.

Comix Zone was criminally underrated, though I only had the Windows 95 version. Truth be told, if I ever did a Top Ten Sega Genesis/Mega Drive Games it would be in the middle.
-
There was also Nightmare Circus, which was released on the Sega Channel in the US, but got a physical release in Brazil. If it weren't so cryptic to the point of being incompetently puzzling, it would have gotten at least a cult following.
-
When it comes to the Sega Genesis, 1995-1998 releases are almost never mentioned. (Though not without reason.) So, I figured I'd start a thread on these games.

*Smiles in delight.* You did good on the color choices.

Here's some enemy ideas:
-
Ninjabba, I think you should tell I-Mockery's Roger Barr about this. (He's real big on the Atari Lynx.)
-
Just what will the 'pinball' segments look like?

Judging by the footage, it's quite good. By the way, you have a lot of balls to pull off something with a 320-pixel wide mode.

@Peteym5: That Old English Dictionary site is really helpful, especially when coming up with spell and monster names. Know any for Old German, Old Norse, Old Swedish, Old French, or Ancient Greek?
As for the demo, I have to agree on using less-infringing characters and graphics.
-
I'd get started on overworld sprites and tiles, just so you can have something to work with. If you need another pixel artist, I know that Hyptosis does custom spriting.

I have to see the potential results of this.

This does have potential to be good. However, it's hard to see what's ahead of you and there's only idle rev sounds.
-
Easily one of your best. Now I'd like to see further proof of this concept.

Multi Lock On reminds me of certain stick figure cartoons on Newgrounds. In particular, Xiao Xiao, Fluidanims, anything by Phillips Lacanlale (Terkoiz1), Michael Sung's MicWizard, and anything by Nhazul. I can see Mord and Atarius Maximus' demos being made into actual games, but without the copyright characters.

Maybe you should send a copy to World of Longplays.

I still consider the Super NES Star Ocean my personal favorite of the series, and in my Top 20 Super NES games. Blue Sphere has three fan translations, but only the French one was finished and released. I hope the two English ones aren't abandoned because they looked promising. By the way, am I the only person who prefers "Fate Linegod" over "Fayt Leingod"? (The latter looks really stupid. Yeah, many of the character/location/spell/item names from TtEoT onward were either mistranslated or changed into something dumb.)

I discovered this on YouTube while looking at Shin Megami Tensei videos:
After downloading this for free before Dec. 24 of last year, I have to say that this is one of the better "Metroidvanias" for the PC. And the most peculiar thing is that Atlus made it official. It makes me wonder why no one at that company thought of it before. Attention Atlus and Ladybug: Make more SotN-style Megaten games.

How about we port some of the obscure titles I suggested?
-
I thought about having a CEM3394 chip in my homebrew carts, but doubt that they are still being made today. (That chip was used in Bally Sente's arcade hardware and at least one Sequential Circuits synthesizer.)

I recall someone on Newgrounds making a Flash remake of Ninja Golf back in '03. Criminally underrated title, and it still bothers me that certain tight wads (read: Hardcore Gaming 101) continue to bitch about it. Seriously, both versions of Ninja Golf were not bad. (Trust me, there are worse games out there.)
-
LED Storm/Mad Gear (This would also be an excellent Lynx port):
The arcade beta had both jumping and a transformation ability.
-
So, do you have any gameplay footage to entice interest?
-
Dragon Buster (Which was referenced in Tales of Legendia)
The first game with Double Jumping, a life bar, and branching paths. However, I'd add the improved controls of the NES/Famicom version, the title screen art of the MSX version, and the intro of the PC-8801 version.

1995-1998 Genesis games

Here's a long play of The Lost World: JP:
That game shows how much Novotrade/Appaloosa knew when it came to the Genesis/Mega Drive.
The Ooze:
This title, judging from the Cubex55 description, looks like it could have used some tuning. By the way, the guys behind Sonic Spinball, Dinosaurs for Hire, and Eternal Champions worked on this.
Finally, here's a video of Nightmare Circus:
Too bad that Sega released it before they finished it.
