Nice, but would Paint.Net work in place of GIMP?
-
@Atariboy2600: They can be found at.
-
Those look nice, Atariboy2600. Maybe you could do mockups of my suggestions?
-
Umm...there have been several Taito F3 to PS1 ports, Bubble Symphony, Bubble Memories, and Darius Gaiden come to mind. However, a Jaguar port of Cadash would be awesome.

You and Pac-Man Red have progressed nicely.

I never heard of 320C and 320D modes before. Just what do they do? (Curious.)
-
I thought something Taito-related would be welcome:
-
I'm going to throw in a few more for now:
Rainbow Islands
Chase HQ
Operation Wolf (Though I heard the 7800's Light Gun has questionable accuracy.)
Nova 2001
Bad Dudes
Ninja Spirit
Horizon
Cadash
Marvel Land (Namco)
Turbo (Sega)
Star Force
Space Firebird/Space Demon
King & Balloon
Flash Gal
Chack 'n Pop
Congo Bongo
Dig Dug II
Ghouls 'n Ghosts
Gladiator/Ougon no Shiro (Golden Castle)
Guzzler
Kiki Kaikai
Nemo
The New Zealand Story
Pirate Ship Higemaru
Q*Bert's Qubes
Shao-Lin's Road
The Tower of Druaga (Could use a few level and gameplay tweaks) and The Return of Ishtar
Legend of Valkyrie
Cloud Master
The Legend of Kage
Megablast (Could use a few level and gameplay tweaks)
Kabuki Z (Could use a few level and gameplay tweaks)
Tecmo Knight
Genpei Toumaden (The Genji and Heike Clans' Demon Conflict story)

Oh, I just realized that it is spelled Raimais, and the original Japanese version had cutscenes, multiple endings, and voices:
I definitely think that this would be a great addition on the 7800, despite having to take notable sacrifices.

That poor man...(cue me sulking for hours.)

Super Chase
Vertexer (Project Sterra 2)
Talking about rare and obscure. Not suggested for anyone who is prone to motion sickness.

I wonder if it is possible to 3D print CRT parts? (Just a thought/idea.)
-
I have to say that I am quite impressed with your custom spritework. Hell, I'll also say that the 160A version almost looks like the Sega Master System Ninja Gaiden.
-
So, they would have to be written with the Jaguar's capabilities? (I know many of the F3 games would be getting a downgrade.)

@sd32: If Taito and Square Enix allowed it, maybe.
Here's some info on said hardware from System 16:
http://www.system16.com/hardware.php?id=661 - Taito F2
http://www.system16.com/hardware.php?id=662- Taito F1, an expandable variant of the above.
http://www.system16.com/hardware.php?id=665- Taito F3
I think they can work, but will take lots of work in order to do so.

I was wondering if the Jag would be able to run the games made on Taito's F2 and F3 arcade boards, such as Elevator Action Returns, Rayforce, Bubble Symphony, Bubble Memories, Metal Black, Gun Frontier, or Space Invaders '95?
-
Here's some more:
Future Spy (Xevious clone done with the Zaxxon hardware)
Dragon Buster
Pac-Land
Top Secret
Bionic Commando
Strider
Athena and Psycho Soldier
Major Havoc
Peter Pepper's Ice Cream Factory
Captain Silver
Ninja Gaiden
Inferno
Zwackery
Mystic Marathon
Toy Pop
Ninja Princess
Metro Cross
-
I have to say that your spritework is excellent.

I'd like to thank the homebrew game community as well, and aspire to make my own for NES, Super NES, Master System, Lynx, Jaguar, N64, and even the Wii. Now if only we convinced Tom Fulp and the rest of Newgrounds to join us...
-
Ducktales (NES)
The Addams Family Values (Super NES)
Goldeneye (N64)
Sailor Moon: Another Story (Super NES)
Darkwing Duck (Game Boy)
Road Runner's Death Valley Rally (Super NES)
Ghostbusters (Commodore 64)
Sailor Moon S (Game Gear)
X-Men Mutant Apocalypse (Super NES)
Konami's X-Men, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Simpsons, and Bucky O'Hare* (Arcade)
*Fun fact = Just like the show--which also happens to be based off of a comic--has the voice actors from Beast Wars, Shadow Raiders, ReBoot, and the '90s Capcom cartoons. (Scott McNeill as Deadeye, Long John Baldry as the Air Marshall, Richard Newman as Toad Borg, Garry Chalk as Al Negator, and Campbell Lane as Cyborg Spider.)
-
I remember a Flash 4 version of this that was made 17 years ago on Newgrounds.
-
I'm surprised that Roger Barr of I-Mockery.com hasn't done a piece on this. (He's real big on the 7800 and Lynx.)
-
@DracIsBack: Agreed. Hell, the Sega Master System version of Rastan Saga had FM chip support, which made it sound nicer than the PSG version.
By the way, what do you guys think of my other choices?
-
There was something about having a good balance between aesthetics and functionality in the early-2000s Internet that has been lost on many a website. Oh, and I preferred Macromedia's versions of Flash over Adobe's. (Much more stable.)
