  1. Am I the only person here who thought that Drawn Together had potential, but wasted it on imitation Family Guy humor?

    1. GoldLeader

      GoldLeader

Sounds about right...Except the potential was wasted by wishing it was a tenth as funny as Family Guy, plus way too much repetition and gross jokes...and a little too much like an actual reality show for my personal tastes.

I already thought Family Guy was imitation humor.

      Yes, yes it is.

Its imitation Futurama humor, that is itself imitation The Simpsons humor.

  2. @Atariboy2600: They can be found at. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/64936-arcade-games-you-wouldve-made-good-7800-releases/page-4?do=findComment&comment=3819439 http://atariage.com/forums/topic/64936-arcade-games-you-wouldve-made-good-7800-releases/page-4?do=findComment&comment=3830307 http://atariage.com/forums/topic/64936-arcade-games-you-wouldve-made-good-7800-releases/page-4?do=findComment&comment=3837910
  3. Those look nice, Atariboy2600. Maybe you could do mockups of my suggestions?
  4. Umm...there have been several Taito F3 to PS1 ports, Bubble Symphony, Bubble Memories, and Darius Gaiden come to mind. However, a Jaguar port of Cadash would be awesome.
  5. You and Pac-Man Red have progressed nicely.
  6. I never heard of 320C and 320D modes before. Just what do they do? (Curious.)

I meant to say Opening Credits.

Interesting point. I have mixed feelings, because I worked in Pay Per View (Well Master Control), Watching movies All the way through...

On a really good night I might process 3 movies almost back to back. At this point opening credits feel predictable, and I liked it when a movie jumped right in or saved "artistry" for the end titles...

  8. I thought something Taito-related would be welcome:
  9. I wonder what people think of Taito's sound team, Zuntata?

Wasn't that a GI Joe villain?

Love 'em. Man, they got weeeird when they made the soundtracks for the Darius games, though.

  10. I'm going to throw in a few more for now: Rainbow Islands Chase HQ Operation Wolf (Though I heard the 7800's Light Gun has questionable accuracy.) Nova 2001 Bad Dudes Ninja Spirit Horizon Cadash Marvel Land (Namco) Turbo (Sega) Star Force Space Firebird/Space Demon King & Balloon Flash Gal Chack 'n Pop Congo Bongo Dig Dug II Ghouls 'n Ghosts Gladiator/Ougon no Shiro (Golden Castle) Guzzler Kiki Kaikai Nemo The New Zealand Story Pirate Ship Higemaru Q*Bert's Qubes Shao-Lin's Road The Tower of Druaga (Could use a few level and gameplay tweaks) and The Return of Ishtar Legend of Valkyrie Cloud Master The Legend of Kage Megablast (Could use a few level and gameplay tweaks) Kabuki Z (Could use a few level and gameplay tweaks) Tecmo Knight Genpei Toumaden (The Genji and Heike Clans' Demon Conflict story)
  11. Oh, I just realized that it is spelled Raimais, and the original Japanese version had cutscenes, multiple endings, and voices: I definitely think that this would be a great addition on the 7800, despite having to take notable sacrifices.
  12. That poor man...(cue me sulking for hours.)
  13. Super Chase Vertexer (Project Sterra 2) Talking about rare and obscure. Not suggested for anyone who is prone to motion sickness.
  14. I wonder if it is possible to 3D print CRT parts? (Just a thought/idea.)
  15. I have to say that I am quite impressed with your custom spritework. Hell, I'll also say that the 160A version almost looks like the Sega Master System Ninja Gaiden.
  16. So, they would have to be written with the Jaguar's capabilities? (I know many of the F3 games would be getting a downgrade.)
  17. @sd32: If Taito and Square Enix allowed it, maybe. Here's some info on said hardware from System 16: http://www.system16.com/hardware.php?id=661 - Taito F2 http://www.system16.com/hardware.php?id=662- Taito F1, an expandable variant of the above. http://www.system16.com/hardware.php?id=665- Taito F3 I think they can work, but will take lots of work in order to do so.
  18. I was wondering if the Jag would be able to run the games made on Taito's F2 and F3 arcade boards, such as Elevator Action Returns, Rayforce, Bubble Symphony, Bubble Memories, Metal Black, Gun Frontier, or Space Invaders '95?
  19. Am I the only person who disliked Sonic SatAM? Despite the ambition, I found it to be dull, prententious, and boring.

    1. Skippy B. Coyote

      Skippy B. Coyote

You have the craziest timing, because I just started watching Sonic SatAM today for the first time in a good 20 years. I'm only 3 episodes into the first season but I'm really enjoying it so far. =)

    2. Jess Ragan

      Jess Ragan

It was ambitious, in the way 1990s cartoons so often were. I can't fault it for that. Having said that, it wasn't one of my favorite 90s cartoons.

  20. Here's some more: Future Spy (Xevious clone done with the Zaxxon hardware) Dragon Buster Pac-Land Top Secret Bionic Commando Strider Athena and Psycho Soldier Major Havoc Peter Pepper's Ice Cream Factory Captain Silver Ninja Gaiden Inferno Zwackery Mystic Marathon Toy Pop Ninja Princess Metro Cross
  21. I have to say that your spritework is excellent.
  22. I'd like to thank the homebrew game community as well, and aspire to make my own for NES, Super NES, Master System, Lynx, Jaguar, N64, and even the Wii. Now if only we convinced Tom Fulp and the rest of Newgrounds to join us...
  23. This is fucking hilarious!

Not bad, how about the Nostalgia Critic talking about GI JOE the Movie...

    2. SlidellMan

      SlidellMan

I've already seen that on Vid.me.

  24. Ducktales (NES) The Addams Family Values (Super NES) Goldeneye (N64) Sailor Moon: Another Story (Super NES) Darkwing Duck (Game Boy) Road Runner's Death Valley Rally (Super NES) Ghostbusters (Commodore 64) Sailor Moon S (Game Gear) X-Men Mutant Apocalypse (Super NES) Konami's X-Men, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Simpsons, and Bucky O'Hare* (Arcade) *Fun fact = Just like the show--which also happens to be based off of a comic--has the voice actors from Beast Wars, Shadow Raiders, ReBoot, and the '90s Capcom cartoons. (Scott McNeill as Deadeye, Long John Baldry as the Air Marshall, Richard Newman as Toad Borg, Garry Chalk as Al Negator, and Campbell Lane as Cyborg Spider.)
